Fun place to go out, but I don’t buy drinks there since they watered down my Guinness.

I have a lot of good memories in the Knot. I can’t remember all of them, but I think they were good anyway. They call this an Irish bar, but it’s really just a college hotspot. Happy hour would be more happy if there were more than one bartender. The floor was rather sticky and I’m pretty sure there was some sort of wild animal in the bathroom. The drinks were cheap.

service is VERY slow, and they don’t keep track of who is next so you can get cut in front of while waiting for a drink. Also saw the woman bartender(dark hair) change the deal spinner on a saturday night because it landed on 5 dollar pitcher and we overheard her say that she didn’t like that one, so she changed it to 3 dollar draft. Kind of sneaky and dishonest.

Fond memories of bangers and mash a 1am. Offers meal plans to UNH students. Also, the sweet potato fries are truly excellent, as advertised.

Went here for specials at the bar on a Thursday night. DECOR: Bar is in the basement, very small and a little cramped. It’s nice though, a homey feel to it. Had wood walls, floors and tables. White lights were strung up on the walls. DRINKS: I only ordered Rum Buckets here but they were great! They were tiny little pales filled with jungle juice and had gummy bears on the bottom of the pale underneath the juice and ice. Were about 3 $ until I think 10 or 11pm. Definitely a cheap, delicious way to have a good night with your friends. SERVICE: Took around 10 minutes just for the bartender to get me 1 drink, but it was very busy so I wasn’t that annoyed.

It’s a really nice, non-skeevy bar with good food… especially the sweet potato fries.

I’m giving it 4 stars. I’ve never had a bad experience in the many many nights I’ve gone to The Knot. The hamburgers are always reasonable and the service is better than any of the dives in Durham. The Knot is not a dive. Sure, it has no windows but it’s quaint. The prices are reasonable they run appetizer specials regularly. It sucks to go there if you don’t know anybody because it’s full of UNH cliques.
