I always end up coming here during a down time when it’s just us and maybe one of two more tables. The waitresses have always been great and efficient, and the food is always coming out hot and fresh. I love their phó. It’s probably the best I’ve had and it’s usually what bring me back. Their wanton soup and their crunchy egg rolls are also huge draws and for the most part I end up ordering the same few things. I have tried a couple noodle bowls, but honestly the soup is where it’s at. The downside of this place aren’t the staff or even the food. it’s the other patrons. Phó eaters are the loudest, slurpiest, mouth-breathing-ist people on the planet and it’s hard for me to get through a meal listening to the wet mouth sounds of the person sitting behind me going to town on some sloppy noodles. Seriously, what.the.fuck. Okay, I’m really sensitive to the sounds of people eating. I’d say give this place a shot between the hours of 3pm and 5pm.

First of all I know good Vietnamese food… Lotus in Minneapolis is the best. I’m out in the suburbs and really wanted Phở… I ordered 2 items for take out and found both to be absolutely disgusting. Phở was cold with old dry chicken. Cream Cheese Wontons were obviously reheated from lunch and served with a sauce that tasted like ketchup. On top of it, the guy who delivered my order was very unfriendly and somewhat rude. The restaurant had 2 patrons at 6pm on Friday night, that should have been my red flag

This isn’t a dining review. This is an experience review. I just moved into the area & was craving a bowl of phó, so, I Googled this place. Classic Saigon appears to have some good reviews. So, I arrive around noon, & the restaurant was full, but not busy. Trust me, I know busy, I too work in the restaurant industry. Every table seemed content with their service & their meals & the servers seemed like they had things handled. The host/server, a male, sat me at a one top awkwardly near the door, in between a couple of other tables & in the middle of the restaurant basically. I asked for a four top by the window for more space & to not be in the way. The host/server, basically said«no, it’s busy, you sit here & you’re not a lot of people.» So I sat, for a few more minutes kinda peeved at how he spoke to me. Three gentleman came in & the host/server sat them at the four top I had asked for. I never got a glass of water or a menu either. Infuriated, I just got up & left. What a rude first experience to have been spoken down to like that as a guest. Smh Needless to say, I left & dined next door where I received wonderful attentive service & amazing food at India Zayka.

We there for lunch took 5 min to be seated. We sat at the table for a 30min before we were able to order. We would hear from around us that it took must of the customer 30min to order as welll. It looks like the owner of the resturant was also a waiter, bus boy, cashier and cook all in one. Sadly it was 40min spent sitting there waiting for our food, so we decide to leave since it was not worth it. Dont go here if you dont want to waste your time!

We come here every couple months when we’re in the area and craving some noodles or rice(but try to make it a point to eat here more often). The owner, Andy, who has been there serving on his own every time we’ve visited(except one time during the day when his daughter was serving), always recognizes us and remembers our order, even if we have not visited for several months. He also knew that the people sitting at the table next to us enjoy their phở extra hot. Even though he serves alone he does a great job of keeping up with all the guests, checking on their food and refilling their beverages, and having fun conversations. The seating area is quite large and rarely more than a third full(but they have a busy takeout business) so long waits are not a concern. As for the food, we’ve had about a dozen different options and they’ve all been fantastic, some of the best I’ve had in the Cities. My wife loves their phở; we’ve had a lot of it around the area and it is her favorite(I also enjoy it but there are a couple other places that I enjoy the phở as well). The broth has great depth and clean finish. Their other dishes are great; even though it is a Vietnamese restaurant they serve some of my favorite Chinese dishes. The sesame chicken is the best I’ve had, very crispy and not too sweet. We also love the Vietnamese egg rolls, beef and fried potatoes, butter chicken, and others. When my wife or I are having a bad day I know that a trip to Classic Saigon will brighten our day.

I have tried PHO all over the city but have not found any as traditionally delicious and flavorful as the PHO here. The owner is a very persoanable man and will always remember you if you come a few times. The spring rolls are fresh and they will make you a bubble tea like no other in Minnesota. Try it, you will not want to go anywhere else for PHO again.

I am a fan of there egg roles they were excellent. I would go back and order those, I ordered the Wonton soup and the wrap on the Wonton was thin and I like that instead of it being to thick and doughy but the flavor IDK maybe its just the way Vietnamese is with there Wonton soup but I did not like the flavor.

Amazing!!! It is authentic Vietnamese with high quality ingredients and a selection rivaled by none. If you want a splurge, try the Street Noodles. Also, the Chicken Phở(#99 on the menu) is complex and delightful. And the leftovers make a great breakfast in the morning.

Needed a phở fix while away on vacation. Unilocal took me to this place. Faculty is clean enough. Staff friendly and attentive. I was the only customer there for a long time. I got their special phở. Broth: light, flavourful yet not greasy. Noodles: taste like it had just came out of the fridge, little«stiff». Toppings: I wish they had more of the regular variety as they only gave rare beef, meat balls, brisket. Doesn’t compare to what I’m used to but given the circumstances I went back to the hotel satisfied.

#90 Phở was really good. Highly recommend it. I will be going back to try the spring rolls and egg rolls. The phở was plenty so I didn’t get to try anything else. Quiet clean place.

Went there for lunch and while the food took quite awhile to come out — and there was only one server — which was okay — it was really, really good. I got steamed shrimp with onions and ginger and it was light and the flavors were heavenly. Everyone else at the table got the walleye with some variation. The singapore sauce was definitely the best — and steamed — not fried, although the fried was done very nicely as well. I got the hot and sour soup — it was nice, well done. And we also had spring rolls and egg rolls. It all seemed to be hand made — I thought they were some of the best eggrolls I’ve had — and I don’t typically favor eggrolls. The spring rolls were well done — not the best ever, but still pretty tasty. Besides that it took awhile for the food to come out, I would have to say it was really good and definitely worth the wait.

Horrible place with horrible people working there. I took food home for dinner. Ordered two eggrolls, special fried rice, special Lo Mein, Orange Chicken and Kung Pao Beef. Total Price $ 51. At dinner, we open the bag and we were missing the two egg rolls. The ‘special’ fried rice had one shrimp, little meat and no veggies(see photo). The kung pao beef had 7 pieces of beef, mostly celery. The Lo Mein was pretty ok. The orange chicken greasy. We eat late, past 9 pm, and they were already closed, so I decided to photograph the food and tell them the next day. I called and they were so closed minded attacking me of why I waited till the next day to call and that they measure everything… They were so abrupt that I was not able to tell them that all I wanted was to tell them of my experience when they actually hung up the phone and refused to answer it again. I don’t want my money back, I don’ t want their food(why should I since I was not happy with it?) Maybe I expect too much???

I went here about a year ago. Our waitress was very nice and timely. She gave us recommendations and knew the menu well. I decided to get the combination phở & it was very flavorful compared to phở from other restaurants.

Phở was great! Freash and tasty! I am glad we found this place close to our house. Now, we don’t have drive to Minneapolis or St. Paul to have a bowl of Phở.

I only went there because I had cravings for phở and didn’t want to drive back into town since I was staying in Eagan for the weekend. The egg rolls were fresh, hot and delicious but extremely oily. There was very little meat in my phở. The Curry Chicken was not curry but more like stir-fried chicken with ALOT of bamboo with a little bit of sauce. We were there on a Saturday around lunch time and we were the only customers. The place was clean. We asked for a straw and the owner, who was extremely friendly though, brought out a straw but was touching all over it. Therefore, they lack some customer service and sanity.

Though my first experience to this restaurant was very poor as our table was not attended to and we left after waiting for sometime, I went to their business again albeit begrudgingly. Much to my surprise the service was very swift considering we were the only people there. The hostess was friendly and helpful, brought the food out pretty fast and the food tasted really great. Hence Im editing my initial review to 3 stars. Perhaps this business demands a 3rd visit.

Pretty good. Tried out for the first time with a coworker for lunch. We arrived and it wasn’t too busy, but started to pick up right after we arrived. I ordered us some egg rolls to share while he got the hot and sour soup. The egg rolls were delicious — crispy, hot and tasty. I ordered the garlic pork and he got a noodle bowl. We both liked our food. I had a good portion of pork and it had good taste, but I’m not sure it was worth the $ 11 I paid. I think it’s a little steep. It was only pork and rice, no veggies or sauce. The service lacked somewhat. We got our food and check way after people who came in after us. I noticed they have lunch specials on the wall but they weren’t labeled or advertised by the server. The place was clean, but I will agree with Christopher H — it works here, but wouldn’t work in other parts of the city.
