Hooray for sushi in Eagan! Great miso soup. Excellent service in a clean, nicely decorated space. So far, we like the sushi better than the other entrees. The frozen cheesecake dessert is YUMMY. A very attentive and friendly staff.

I went here for the first time last week and I have already stopped by for a second visit! I love the small family owner restaurant atmosphere. I was absolutely impressed by the sushi here. Best sushi restaurant in the twin cities hands down. First time I tried the sashimi appetizer then an assortment of rolls. Second I came back for a sushi boat. Wow! High quality fish! The rolls have a thin thin coat of rice on the outside and a lot of fish on the inside! After trying this restaurant, every other sushi restaurant is so disappointing. I will be coming back on a regular basis. I would definitely recommend this to any sushi lover!

1÷25÷2016 — I’m baaaack! Another week of business travel afforded me another chance to eat at this wonderful restaurant. Tried the Crazy Naruto, Spicy Scallop, and Philly rolls. They were kind enough to substitute regular salmon for the smoked salmon in the Philly roll. Divine! Just love their presentation also! 1÷22÷2016 — Absolutely loved my dining experience here. Delicious, fresh sushi served quickly in a relaxing, upscale environment! Will definitely be back!

Excellent sushi. Excellent service. We were waited on by the owner for my brother’s birthday. My family are all avid sushi eaters and we were blown away by the quality and freshness of the sushi. I heartily recommend the Honda Roll as it was the best roll I or my girlfriend have ever had. Come here if you want Eagan’s best sushi!

What a great find. This place is worthy of the high praise. Parking is a strip mall lot. Very friendly staff. New and modern dining area. The spicy tuna roll is excellent, the best one can find in Minnesota. The rice is perfect and fresh. The price is the best part. Very reasonable prices, much better than most sushi places in the cities. They have a great happy hour.

Came here with a girlfriend, she said it was delicious so you know I had to give it a try! I got the spicy tuna roll along with the crunchy roll, took it to go. The owner was so I sweet and greeted us right when we walked in. The pricing is pretty affordable. The rolls were delicious! Rice was cooked perfectly. I’d definitely come back again if I’m ever in the area.

Traveling through Minneapolis and looking for something other than the mall chains. This place was pretty good for not being near the water! Creative rolls with creative names to go with them. Nice interior, very friendly owner(I think he was the owner).

Update: still delicious. They now feature a new Happy Hour menu with food! Met the owner Eric last time I was in and he is such a nice guy. Greets everyone with a smile. The Audi roll is still my favorite, but had the Hyundai and that is a close second. There is so much more on the menu that I will be going back to try.

You’ll see my first review below. Tonight we ordered HiKo to go. Wow, what a swing. Not nearly the same amount of fish on the HiKo. There was tuna but not one piece of yellowtail or salmon. I am so disappointed. I had such hopes for this place. 11÷3÷2015: To all my friends in the southeast metro that love sushi you must try Hiko Sushi! I have been there twice now and the sushi is so fresh and melt in your mouth amazing! The service is so good. The people so nice. I’ve been trying to get my boyfriend hooked and tonights meal sealed the deal !!! Can’t wait to go back again next week. My #1 suggestion? Try the House Hiko sushi roll with tuna, yellowtail and salmon. To die for!!! Read less

I recently traveled to MN from Seattle on business and I was super impressed with the quality at Hiko. As you may know, we have super fresh sushi in Seattle and Hiko rivaled many of the places I frequently visit in the city of Seattle. I had the Toyota roll and the Rainbow roll and both were fresh, good and the staff was friendly. I actually ate at Crave the night before, and I wish I would of driven the extra 10 minutes to Hiko. Hiko’s quality blows away Crave and the service was better.

Simply put — excellent sushi! As a traveler it is so nice to know that you can return to a restaurant and it is still family owned and is consistently excellent every time! This is my second time here and it won’t be my last!

If you work in the area you should really consider taking advantage of the lunch specials and happy hour(2 – 5 and 8-close). I went there on my lunch break today(Friday) at 11:15am and was in and out in ~20 minutes and back to work. This is my favorite sushi place in the area and tied with Wakame as my favorite place in the metro. My «go to» order is the Infiniti Roll(see below) and some super white tuna nigiri sushi. I also really liked a daily/temporary special roll with jalapeño(the name escapes me). They have a happy hour special with 5 pieces of nigiri sushi(chef’s choice) at a great price(~$ 7). I’m not an expert on sushi but the food is outstanding and the service has been great. I feel lucky to live so close to this place. Infiniti Roll: Shrimp tempura inside, topped w. spicy tuna, spicy salmon, spicy yellowtail and tobiko

Great spot for sushi in Eagan! A bit expensive but the food was excellent. Hiko roll is super good but the most expensive roll. Love the fact that each roll is named after a luxury car. Other items on the menu are good too but again, portion and price are not as expected. But we still come back because the food is good.

Super sweet people and really good food. The hubby and I were looking for something new in the area and I’d say this is our now our favorite Eagan restaurant. We were starving and couldn’t decide so got cheese wontons and Thai lettuce wraps to start. Very good. Then they gave us a tempura fish(appetizer?) complimentary. Holy crap was that good. I got the avocado peanut roll and tempura shrimp roll — loved. Better than sushi I had in Uptown last week. I’m limited to cooked sushi right now as I am expecting and they divide that up nicely on the menu — nice big section of choices. Husband got udon noodles and steak and said it was really good, especially the steak. Our 4-year-old enjoyed her little kids meal. I wish I wish I wish I had room for the mochi ice cream as I LOVE it but we were stuffed. Glad to know that there is somewhere so close that has is though.

4 stars, not 5, and I’ll tell you why. First of all, service is amazing. You can tell that they are all trying very hard to give you a great dining experience! Just the right amount of attentiveness and politeness and friendliness. Food and presentation was great! We ordered the Porshe roll and Audi roll, plus the Chirashi(I am a sucker for a good Chirashi). The chirashi was served in a boat and all of the sashimi in there were great and very fresh. I liked the Porshe roll better, it was very different with a hint of sweetness, but Matt liked the Audi roll better, and they were both awesome. We didn’t finish everything between the two of us. The reasons they don’t get that 5th star? Not a full bar. That’s unfortunate, because I like to get a fancy pants martini with my sushi. No food specials on the HH menu. And overall, the menu is too expensive for a strip mall sushi joint in Eagan. But the food is delicious, so I will be back.

Ohhhh Hiko. I love you so. But I can’t give you my coveted 5th star. NOTYET! Let me explain, fellow Unilocalers of the world. I’ve been to Hiko twice in the past 30ish days or so and there is a LOT that I really like about this place. The staff is friendly, attentive and eager to please. Always a plus! They really do kick ass. But I’ve had a couple of items that didn’t knock my socks off. And it makes me sad. After seeing all the 5 star reviews and the freakin AWESOME pictures I packed up the gal and we went to shove fish and rice in our gobs. 1st time there I ordered the Audi, I know all the Unilocalers get a mega-boner over the Audi, but it was very underwhelming and there was no presentation to it.(Unlike some of the pictures I’d seen) My girlfriend ordered the Honda and it was very tasty. Again, presentation lacked, but at least it sent my tastebuds to flavor town. We finished with fried green tea ice cream, and it was very good. The visit tonight was even better. The gal that took our orders rembered us from our previous visit which is always nice. She recommended we try the soft shell crab as an appetizer, so we did. Very small portion and the flavor was meh. For $ 9.95? Pass. The missus, being a creature of habit, had to get the Honda again. We went for happy hour and the Torpedo was $ 8 instead of the usual $ 13.95, so I ordered that and the Hiko Roll. The Honda, awesome again. Torpedo, very good. The Hiko Roll… Total fucking mouth-gasm. It was seriously one of the best fishy treats I’ve had the pleasure of filling my food cavity with. If you like nigiri, but have a German Minnesotan girlfriend that is like«ewwww, raw fish?» then get this for yourself and send me thank you notes after you’re done crying over the splendor you just consumed. It’s LIKE nigiri, but instead of fish over rice it’s fish over rice with a bunch of delicious shit crammed inside it. My recommendations: if you’re a typical Minnesotan who likes fried and crunchy things, go Honda. If you like, or are at least adventurous enough to go raw, order the Hiko Roll. I will try this place for lunch and get nigiri and sashimi. If it impresses me like the hiko roll did, I will have to give up the 5th star. I can’t be all butt-hurt over a couple items that didn’t wow me. I’m coming for ya Hiko! Help me give you 5 stars!

I have to jump on the five star bandwagon. We were so impressed with the friendly, attentive staff and the amazing food that we showed up again four days later. The owner remembered us and greeted us by name! Not only is that level of service almost non-existent, the food is equally impressive. I’m ecstatic that sushi this good is within walking distance from my house. We’re on a mission to try something new during each visit and the menu is expansive, so we have a tasty mission ahead of us. We are guilty of ordering the Audi roll(the specialty rolls are named after luxury cars) each visit, because it is my favorite roll in the Cities. For starters, the avocado salad is… divine. Served with a fresh made, bright mango vinaigrette and mixed greens. Oh my. The special salad with whitefish is also a light and lovely starter. Ask your server if you have any questions, they will make a recommendation that won’t disappoint. The Crazy Naturo roll is served with a light sauce and is wrapped in this strips of cucumber instead of nori. It’s fantastic. You can order the standard spicy tuna and salmon rolls here, but don’t. Try something different, thank me later. It’s not just the food either, the restaurant that was formerly a very tired and dated Dragon Palace has been gutted and updated with gorgeous tile work installed by the owner. His attention to detail resonates in the caring staff, the delicious food and the presentation. Each dish is so artfully plated, it seems almost a shame to disrupt the aesthetic. Take a picture, and dive in anyway. Two weeks into opening and a location that doesn’t have a strong street presence, the crowds haven’t shown up yet. With food and service this good, Hiko Sushi won’t be a secret for very long.

Really enjoyed Hiko sushi for lunch. My office is around the corner and we received the menu intrigued I had to go check it out. Friendly service, pretty fast I was in and out within 40min for lunch. Ordered the lunch special 3rolls for $ 13 includes soup or salad. I choose the miso soup which was good. Ordered the salmon skin, tempura shrimp and one other roll which had tuna and mango(can’t remember name) great deal comes with 5−6pieces per roll. Everything tasted fresh. I look forward to my lunch breaks with Hiko close by. They also gave me complimentary sushi with a mango sauce.
