Aspen Leaf gets four stars not due to their yogurt(which, to be honest, isn’t my favorite), but because of the variety of choices they have! You can satisfy your sweet tooth in so many ways whether you’re looking for self-serve yogurt with toppings, chocolates, candy caramel apples, cookies, or one of their Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory creations. Kudos to Aspen Leaf for partnering with a candy company. Brilliant move! Food: The caramel apples are something else. Everything, though pretty expensive, from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is so good. I love their English Toffee caramel apple, though they’re all so good. I like how they slice them for you as well! The Avalanche Bar is SUCH a treat. It’s like a rice crispy treat on steroids… with peanut butter. Yep, delicious. To be honest, their yogurt is NOT my favorite. It’s not as creamy as some of the other local shops, like Yogurtz, and the selection is not quite as vast, though they still do a good job with their flavors and toppings. Drinks: n/a Atmosphere: It’s a nice, clean place to enjoy a cup of yogurt or a sweet treat. The brightly colored booths and tables make for a nice little spot, and if it’s a nice day you can even eat outside! I like how they’re surrounded by Mongolian and Pizza Hut, so it’s a good place to stop into after grabbing a bite to eat! Service: Their chocolatiers are so friendly and nice. I’m very pleased with their service and willingness to answer my questions. Happy Hour Offerings: n/a Healthy Hack: Opt for a sorbet if you’re looking for dairy free. Caramel apples have about 330 cals for the plain one. Not too bad! Tips: They have a punch card for frequent flyers!

Although I love frozen yogurt + endless toppings, my favorite treat here has been the caramel Apples. There is a Rocky Mountain chocolate factory inside and they have such a great selection of delicate sweets! The M&M caramel apple is delicious!

After breakfast(don’t judge) on a hot day we decided to stop in for a cool one. We did that after going back to get the bike tire we left sitting on the curb when putting the bike on the rack(but I digress). Self serve and easy to pick flavors(they will give you taste cups to try a flavor). The trick is not to get sucked into filling the huge cup they give you as it’s by weight. I just wanted something cool so a little vanilla with a splash of chocolate and some gummy bears were my scene. Note to self – Mike and Ikes when cold become a choking hazard. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Air conditioned. We enjoyed. Ask for a punch card if you are local.
