Wonderful and fast service. Great prices and their Tomato Soup is delicious, wonderful diner in the true spirit of diners.

We eat breakfast at Uncle D’s often and, we can’t get enough of it! A great atmosphere with a kind staff. I would recommend Uncle D’s to anyone in CT. The Cadillac taco is a must try.

Friendly and fast service. We had a make your own omelette and the eggs benedict. Standard diner fare, great breakfast; we’ll be back for sure.

Great atmosphere, excellent service, food was cooked perfect, portions are large, really good coffee. I seldom find a place I like, and I’ve never given 5 stars before, but this place deserves it. I will definitely be a return customer.

Great place! This diner has the traditional look and feel to it. Warm, cozy, and friendly atmosphere. I had the veggie omelette. Good portion size. The coffee was very good. Highly recommended!

This was a fun little diner. Upon driving to find it, this old school place was just what we needed. I ordered the veggie omelet with broccoli, spinach, and tomatoes and some cheese. Had this with rye bread. Home fries were delicious and the omelet was of a generous portion! The service was fast and everything was made very well. I love omelets and it was very much a refreshing omelet. Vegetables seemed fresh(not frozen/canned/etc) and it a very delicious and filling breakfast.

Stopped here today — 2nd time in two weeks. New owners or management some months ago. It’s great! Very tasty food with excellent service — well, except that the timing of my soup and my friend’s salad were off. Hey — it’s not fine dining — just great food. My friend had the meatloaf. My mouth watered at the sight — but my Roast Beef sandwich with onions and cheddar was also excellent — it’s just that I needed more. Did I mention the soup? Beef/vegetable — full bodied, tasty, and best of all — FRESH!

The vibe in the place was kind of weird. I felt like if you weren’t a regular, it was just weird. I ordered the big boy special which came with 3 eggs, home fries, bacon, 2 pancakes, and the toast. My bf ordered a turkey bacon wrap with no tomatoes. The blueberry pancakes were awesome! My eggs I ordered scrambled and they were kind of runny. The home fries were pretty good and the coffee was great. The wrap came with tomatoes, however no one came over right after our food was served And we were hungry so he picked them out. I think their breakfast is way better. The wrap was kind of slimy and there was bacon, yet you didn’t really taste the flavor of it. The creamy italian dressing they put on it sort of overpowered it all. I think this is more of a regulars spot and the whole time we were there it felt uncomfortable. I think we will leave it for the locals and stick with Mitchell’s!

A cute little breakfast/lunch spot. Service was great, food came fast it’s your pretty basic little diner. We ordered poached eggs with bacon and home fries. The bacon came out nice and crispy, the home fries were bland but cooked through. The poached eggs were spot on and without the overwhelming taste of vinegar. Plenty of Parking

I went here for Sunday breakfast with my boyfriend. I was delighted to see the metallic paneling along the walls and ceiling, and the metal coat racks built into the booth seats. Classic diner. The lady who was at the hostess-kiosk-register when we walked in wasn’t very cheery and sat us at a booth like we were an inconvenience. However, our server was friendly. *The coffee was great and refilled frequently.* I had an egg white greek omelet that came with home fries and I opted for an English Muffin as my bread. My boyfriend got a short stack of blueberry pancakes. They too, were good. The wall mounted tv at the counter seating area had Good morning America or something like that, I would have preferred a news channel with closed captions. Whats the point of a silent tv show that is based on interviews and education segments? You can tell a lot of locals come in for a comfy meal and newspaper reading. They seem to be known to the staff by name and are taken care of like family.

Service was quick, the staff was hilarious. Very accommodating of our large(more than ten people) group coming in with no warning 45 minutes to close. The servers were extremely gracious when some orders were wrong and immediately corrected them. Food came out quickly and was delicious diner fare.
