Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Too angry to explain JUST GO ANYWHERE else for hitch installation.

I like the fact that I was able to reserve online, because it cut down the check in process. The van was nice, clean and new. The process was overall easy. They lose a star because I left something in the van, called right away, was told that I was speaking to someone at the location, turned out to be a lie, the lady claimed to send an urgent message to the location and 90 minutes later I never received a call, so I drove back and 4 guys were standing around doing nothing, I asked them for access to the van and asked why they never called me back after the urgent message, they said they were too busy, obviously that was another lie, but whatever.

This is probably one of the more competent of the locations in the area. Which doesn’t say a lot, but if you want to talk to ppl who know anything about anything, go here.
With that said, I’m very disappointed that my rental truck and trailer were not ready when I got there after I had made a point of telling the dispatcher that I’d be there as soon as they opened. That added another 30 minutes to an already long and stressful moving day.

Hillsborough Township, NJ
I made an online hitch installation appointment for 10⁄6 at the East Brunswick NJ facility. The confirmation email indicated that I would receive a call back from the facility to schedule the specific time. I never received a call back.
On the day of the install, I called the customer service number provided on the receipt 5 times to get the issue resolved. None of these calls resulted in a call back to schedule the install time even though there were repeated promises that the facility would be calling me back in a few minutes.
By the 5th call, I was fed up. Since UHaul obviously does not want my business, I cancelled my install and will find a company that does.

If you can find another uhaul to work through, I highly suggest not using this faculty. The manager is incredibly unhelpful and the process to get anything done is frustrating. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else!
