I’ve lived in Astoria for about 30 years and Ditmars Lumber has always been my go to place. Ppl who work there are extremely nice and knowledgeable. Wood and other products are good quality and everything can be cut to size right there. They also deliver. I have never had less than a good experience there.

When you had a enough of Home Depot, Lowe’s and all the others, its nice to know you can go to Ditmars Lumber and: 1. actually talk to someone that knows what they are talking about; 2. doesn’t tell you «its not my department»; and 3. actually wants to help.
DL provides service. They may not have every single item you ask for but they are happy to order to for you. They’ll cut what out all the fuss and bother
