Place is a hit or miss recently going down. Food not fresh anymore scallion pancakes hard as a rock and clearly cooked in old old old oil. I really used to love this place. Better off at a fast food joint.

Employees didn’t even wash their hands after using the bathroom. That’s just lazy and disgusting, not to mention against the law. Clean up your act. That’s pathetic.

The place is okay. I’ve been going there a long time, growing up a few blocks away. It’s recently slipped. The food was better. Some things good some things bad. Pork dumplings, ribs & scallion pancakes consistently good. Also the chicken chow fun & pepper steak. I like the Gen. Tso’s, however it is very sweet here. Most items are fine, but not worth mentioning. Only bad experience was ordering the moo shu chicken and the shrimp lo mein(at different times)…and both tasting burnt. If you want something more authentic, definitely go to Flushing, but for regular neighborhood American Chinese, it’s fine.

At first I thought they were just another Americanized Chinese take out place with a wide variety of take out options. But not until I had a sit down meal in the restaurant, my view was totally changed. This is a Cantonese style restaurant where they offers many authentic Cantonese BBQ and southern old fashion dishes and stews. My favorite was the stew options, I wanted all of them. I ended up ordering the chicken, black mushroom, with tofu stew which was absolutely tasty. The Juicy little port dumplings(soup dumplings) were good too. You can’t get them in a lot of places. I also challenged and ordered the sweet and sour pork. However, I was disappointed to see they made it the Americanized way with bright orange watery sauce and fried pork dough balls. Overall, I was happy about the food. The stew and soup dumplings were good. It’s was just a little pricy.

Fresh food, decent service. The food is good in general, but their fried dumplings are to die for! A great neighborhood spot. Definitely in a different class from the other Chinese take out places in the area.

Wonton soup delicious. Ribs on point. Chicken and pork wontons very good. Fried shrimp we could have done without. They were too big Sesame chicken. Chicken and broccoli and Pranges with garlic sauce everything was good. Portions are huge so don’t I’ve order. One dish can fill 2 – 3 people overall 4 stars

The first time I ordered from here, my stomach felt strange that night but I thought nothing of it. This time I ordered the kung pao chicken. Two bites in, I find a bug in my food… almost threw up and pretty much lost my appetite for the day. I will never order from here again.

This was a regular spot for me for years! I recently just went back since I moved away and don’t live as close anymore and they totally still remembered me and my family! Hahaha it’s been at least 3 years since I’ve been there. The same waiters were there and the service and food was still amazing. I would definitely recommend.

I ordered a singapor noodle to go, after i picked it up, walked out, walked right back to ask for one without pork, they asked me to pay again, although i returned the first order, they didn’t give me my money back! Interesting customer experience. The food is good

I ate there last week with my best girl friends and the food was the best Chinese food I have had in a very long time. We just ordered six dishes and shared. We were there 2 hours and had the best time.

The food is pretty much average, I ordered the beef broccoli with white rice(large) and they gave us less than a pint of rice. A large you should be at least a pint of rice and the beef sauce was a bit too watery than it should be. In addition I had gotten the sweet and sour chicken which I didn’t have a problem with. Delivery service is alright, not too fast nor slow. The prices are higher than other fast food Chinese places and for the amount you’re getting isn’t enough. In my opinion I wouldn’t try it again unless I wanted something near by, there are a few other restaurants near here so id rather get food from them.

I’ve been coming here for years. It is one of the best Chinese take-out food I’ve ever had. The food is fresh and the prices are reasonable. My favorites are the General Tso’s chicken(white meat only) and chicken or beef with broccoli(sometimes I add black mushrooms). I also like their pork dumplings and pork with pickled cabbage noodle(request mei fun) soup. The staff is very friendly, especially the delivery man who always speaks to me in Chinese, even though I respond in English.

As a kid, my family used to take me to a Chinese restaurant where this current restaurant is located. This could be the same restaurant, or it could have a new owner, or have had several new owners since then. As a kid, I enjoyed going here. A few months ago, I returned here with my cousins. We had a great time and the food was decent. Two months ago, I came here with my mom for lunch. Previous reviews have said it, and I will repeat it: this restaurant is more Americanized Chinese food. This is not to say that it is bad, because it certainly isn’t, but if you are looking for a more authentic place, you’d be better off going to Flushing or Chinatown. For example, they have soup dumplings here. I thought they were pretty good, but the ones at Joe’s shanghai(both in Flushing and Chinatown) are much better. Regarding the service, I can’t complain. The waiters and staff were very attentive. I still have great memories of this place. If I could, I would add an extra half-star.

It’s true that every person has their own opinions about… well, everything. So, here’s mine… I’m from a New York Jewish family. I married someone of the same history. While I’m not one to use stereotypes, I am one to admit being one on occasion. In this case, Chinese food and how much we like it. Having been to many in my time, both here and in other states, I gotta say how disappointing I found this place. The cold sesame noodles weren’t eve on the menu and when we asked the waiter, he was honestly unsure and had to go ask someone else if they made it. Strike 1 in my book. Next, we placed our order and were kinda surprised to see a complete LACK of lunch menu. It was Sunday, at noon, and there were no lunch specials to be had? How much effort to deprive yourself of customers did that take? Strike 2 for me. Then the food came.(after the free crispy noodles w/duck sauce and hot tea of course.) The crispy noodles & duck sauce are a Chinese restaurant version of chips and salsa. It’s filler and needless. That said, I had 4 noodles and meh. I certainly am not likely to fill up on a food I don’t enjoy. The hot tea was the standard oolong I expected and that I always enjoy. The cold sesame noodles then came. My husband and I have different bench marks for what we like in this dish. We agree this met almost none of them. They were cold, had noodles, and something you could call sauce… I guess. The flavor had a bitter back note and had not near enough peanut flavor. I got the crispy wonton app and the scallion pancake as a meal. Both had their own sauces which were what I’d expected; thin or sugary beyond reason. The crispy wontons couldn’t have had more than a teaspoon of meat in a wrapper bigger than my hand. The skins were crispy, but as soon as you got to the minuscule portion of meat? I’d have had more luck eating a rubber bouncy ball. The scallion pancakes were as standard as standard comes. Not overly oily, but not amazingly crisp. Went well with its ginger sauce, but not outstanding. The only other menu item was my husband’s General Tso’s Chicken. I’m told the sauce was sweet, not spicy. I could see how viscous the sauce on the plate was and it looked wrong. It was glossy and had a thickness that made me think of tube lubricant instead of food. The food is technically edible, yes, but as enjoyment goes? Not for me.

Ate dinner there tonight. We ordered the sesami chicken with chicken fried rice. It was decent a step up from chinese takeout food but nothing special. Also ordered beef teriaki and steamed vegetable for appetizers, the beef was a little dry, dumplings were good. One main dish with rice and two appetizers cost us $ 39.00. Overall it was a decent place to eat.

It is not compariable to Chinatown in Manhattan or Flushing or Brooklyn but if you want something quick and not expecting too much, it is a good place to visit. They serve Shanghai dumplings and some dim sum(ha gow and shui mi) that are not bad. This is a typical Westernized catered Chinese restaurant but when you are in a bind and want to grab something quick and don’t want to fight to find parking, this is a good place to stop. Service is alright, not super but still good enough for a fast Chinese food fix. We stop by on and off for the reasons listed above when visiting my mom when there are only a couple of us. There is also sit in aervice with about 15 tables and a full bar so if you wanted to stay and eat in you can.
