The children’s wing is beautiful and they offer great classes.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 East Hampton, NY
This library is a legend, and now got approval to massively expand the children’s area. The place is a classic, smells of old books(that’s a good thing) and offers free WIFI. It’s the kind of place to discover great literature to read in one of the many hidden spots. A great place to disappear. Little known is the fantastic dvd movie collection. When Netflix cut me off of «The Tudors» after the 2nd season, we were able to find the rest of the seasons at the East Hampton Library. Just when you think you can’t locate that hard-to-find book you have to read, you will find it here — it’s weird how it always happens. In the summers they host their Author’s Night, which is where authors, big and small, sign their books for the crowd(usually tickets are around $ 100). Celebs I’ve met there include Barbara Walters, Alec Baldwin, Candace Bushnell, Jay MacInerny and many more. BookHampton’s selection is microscopic compared to the rows and rows of fantastic book collections of every genre. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!

The place is very nice. The only negative thing I can say is that there’s only one study room. It’s only for one person. People can get loud in the general area so it’s tough to study out there. They’re getting Some work done on the library. Hopefully they add more study rooms. I’d love that.
