Best brick-​oven arugula/​prosciutto/​tomato pizza EVER!!! Never disappoints for dine-​in or take-​out orders. Of course we always order the largest pizza & it tastes even better the day after, well, granted that there are any left-​overs at all! Their portions are big & generous. Another favorite is the Zuppa de Pesce, better than most NY restaurants offer. Avellino’s doesn’t skimp on ingredients, it’s an all-​out love affair with Italian cuisine! Can’t wait to go back this weekend!

Chicken vodka dinner is delicious. Really enjoyed the whole meal, we ordered the capriglia salad and toscana salad as well. Everything was fresh and well made. Will try the pizza and rice balls next time

My wife and I had a Fantastic time here last Friday night. The food and service was Excellent and to our Pleasent Surprise, they had live Music. that really topped off our night out. They told me there’s Live Music every Friday night starting at 6pm. Check out this Restaurant/​Pizzeria, you won’t be disappointed.

Place looks very clean and food looks great but they counted out money to pay a vendor then made my order without washing hands or wearing gloves, would like to be a customer but I can’t now.

Did not actually have the pizza, instead I ordered a Fried eggplant, mozzarella, balsamic sandwich. It was tasty, the bread was fresh, the eggplant was slightly mushy, but still good.
No table service, but you pay at the end.
They have quite a selection of food and beverage (the drink fridge is around the corner by the restrooms.)
Worth trying in the area.

awesome pizza. White pie with spinach and garlic is to die for. They’re generous with the ricotta. Never had the hot subs or dinners but the lunch specials are really good.

If you know anything about East Hanover, it should be that the majority of the population is Italian. I should know, I grew up there. You cannot have a corner pizza place in East Hanover for as many years as Avellinos unless you have great food. I grew up with this pizza. Any pizza I ever had was compared to this pizza. I am not saying it’s the best in the state, but it’s in the top 10 for sure.
The owner is often on sight and he and his wife are a friendly couple. Over the years you get to have service with a smile, a nice greeting and they know you by name and vice versa. In a world of big box stores, Dominos and the like, this is more like Cheers than like Pizza Hut.
Besides the pizza, their other dishes are very tasty too. The décor is not going to win any TLC design challenges, but it doesn’t have to. It’s clean, the service is fast and the food they put out will satisfy you. It’s what a pizza place should be.
