Just paid $ 15 for a salad that was basically $ 2.99 a bag at stop n shop with the tiniest shrimp I’ve ever seen. half the quality I’m used to from Fargianos. my friend ordered a wrap and was charged extra for fried vs grilled chicken, and her wrap was half empty. they charged us $ 2 a bottle for the same Arizona iced tea which is 4/$ 1 at Dollar tree. I get having to make a profit but such a blatant rip off is kind of uncool. will not return or recommend this establishment.

Do yourself a favor and order a pesto chicken pizza and add roasted red peppers. However, only do so if you like oily, rich sinfully delicious pizza that eats better with a fork than a fold. The pesto-chicken was one of three pizzas ordered for a quick family get together and although all pizzas were good everyone selected the pesto-chicken as the best.

This has to be one of the worst restaurants I have ever gone to and one star is too much. I ordered the chicken marsala which was rated very good but the chicken seemed to be some type of rubbery compressed manufactured chicken with canned mushrooms and almost canned like gravy that had no chicken flavor I also ordered a Caesar salad which had had powdered cheese on it and the dressing was thick & goppy . The worst part of the meal was that it was all microwaved which is the mortal sin of any restaurant!!! This is a pizza parlor that is a restaurant want to be Will not ever ever return even with the Groupon Husband had the Greek salad & it was just mediocre. The dressing was some type of sweet goo.

Dined in for the first time the other night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had your basic eggplant parm and it was yummy. My daughter had a slice with Fargiano’s signature panko crumb bottom(instead of corn meal). It’s a nice touch and a hint, the next day’s pizza re-heated is a huge plus. Best re-heated pizza ever and I believe it’s because of the panko. Anyway, Fargiano’s is a small pizzeria with just a few tables but our waitress went over and above for us. She threw in an extra garlic knot, which was very nice. They were super garlicky and dense(but I liked them). The small salad was huge. A nice surprise was the complimentary hummus with pesto and focaccia bread. Yummy. I would definitely go back to Fargiano’s for their pizza and other food.

I would not recommend this place. For starters, we ordered over the phone so our food would be ready on time and they completely messed up our order when we got there. They made it again but they seemed to have an attitude about it. The pizza was very dry and the crust was weird. It was not worth the waste of gas to get there and the time spent waiting for them to correct our orders and the rude looks and attitude we were given. We definitely will not be coming back.

Every single thing we ordered was right. Wings(tried two flavors, bourbon & buffalo) Pie(slices of heaven) Large garden salad… fresh. Balsamic… perfecto. Blue cheese dressing(must be made in store… wow) Penne pasta, with the chunky sauce… yes. Tiramisu cake. Whoa. Deep fried Oreos… yep. Iced coffee. Yup.(It’s all good!) And focaccia bread, hummus and olive oil. Just good. Such a winner.

This place is a gem nestled in a strip mall in East Islip. We went thinking that we would just try the pizza, but when we arrived, we saw the dishes being served at other tables so we decided to try them. When we sat down they served us an amazing home made hummus and focaccia bread instead of the usual garlic knots, etc., and it was absolutely delicious. We then had their home made pasta e fagioli which was just as exceptional. For main dishes I had the Chicken Primavera and my wife had the Cheese Ravioli. Portions were generous and amazing. We will be back. Cannot wait to try the pizza as well. Highly recommended!

I like this place. I had a great time with a beastie because the food is good and the location is there. The biscotti is the best I ever had. Honestly it is. I can never buy or eat package biscotti after eating this biscotti.

Just moved to the Islip area 6 months ago. Have tried literally every pizza place in a 2 mile radius and Fargianos is hands down the best pizza. They don’t skimp on the dough, cheese or sauce and the sesame seed crust(is that what it is?) is mind blowingly delicious and perfectly cooked on each of the 4 pies I’ve ordered in the last two month. Try it!

Let me first start by saying that some guy left one star in the reviews… this guy obviously has some personal vendetta against these people because he obviously knows nothing about food. This food is good quality with the finest ingredients. I never met the owner before until now and he is a very nice young man trying to be successful in business. I am also in business for the past 19 years and NYIS A VERYTOUGHPLACE to be in business. I of all people know that if you live in East Islip, support your local business, they are the lifeline to our economy! If you got a beef about something? Talk to the owner Chris, he’s an awesome guy! He will make sure that you wont leave disappointed. At first glance, its very small in the front, maybe six tables but dont let the looks fool you. This little place packs a punch like George Foreman on a friday night in Vegas(showing my age)! We ordered baked clams which were chopped and fabulous, they had a delicious type of roasted garlic glazed sauce on top with a touch of lemon, emmmm perfect for dunking the Italian bread. There were only three but they were very proportionate in size, no worries. Oh, the Italian bread was a crispy semolina bread of good quality, lightly crispy exterior with an airy dough, delish! I know my bread, bad bread can ruin a meal folks! Next I had chicken marsala… OMG! What an amazing dish! The mushrooms were incredibly tasty and they were plentiful and the gravy had a very thick consistency with an enormous array of flavors. The chicken was sweet tasting, thinly sliced, very tender and packed with moisture and flavor and guess what people, it tasted like CHICKEN! My wife had the eggplant rolatini, ahhh simple dish you say? NOT! Another amazing example of their incredible chefs at work. They can take a normal everyday dish and somehow infuse it with the same flavors you would expect but magnify it by 10… then we attempted dessert only because the owner had said to try it. Well we did… we tryed the red velvet canoli cream cake and it was the size of my leg and spectacular! Creamy, sweet and flavorful and highly recommended and I am not a dessert guy… PS Try the biscotti, made fresh daily, yum!

On effing point. Now, their pizza may not be of the gargantuan proportions of standard NY parlor pizza(it’s 16″ vs. 18 or 20), nor is the crust precisely as thin, but SHIT is it good. Thanks to a tip from an earlier Unilocaler, I requested the sesame seeded crust, and it was a pleasant surprise to find toasted sesame seeds worked throughout the dough and all over the bottom. They use panko and/or sesame seeds rather than more flour to dust the base, and it is absolutely delicious. The dough is sweeter and more flavorful than your standard crust as well, and the crumb is moister and chewier instead of the crackling crust of the standar, and the sauce is perfect – not too acidic, not too sweet, not too salty. And I didn’t even have to dab the grease off the top of the pie. The garlic knots are an A+, too. Delectably greasy, crisp on the outside with a soft, moist crumb chewiness on the inside, with FRESH – none of that bottled garlic-in-oil nonsense – chunks of toasted garlic and herbs all over. Absolutely perfect.(Note: As long as it’s not packed in the bag. The second time was disappointing. No extra garlic, and the knots got soggy. Whomp whomp) Bonus points go to obviously super fresh cheese. It had that creamy melting consistency of real mozzarella versus the cheap pre-grated cheese cut with cellulose that gets hard and overly greasy in an instant. One thing to note, though, is that their meatball topping is crumbles of meatball-seasoned meat, not slices of processed meatballs. Definitely different but delicious nonetheless. So in conclusion, this is not the typical Long Island parlor pie, interchangeable from shop to shop, but damn is it good. It takes what you love of our local pizza traditions(good dough, thin crust, gooey cheese, great sauce, killer knots) and steps it up a notch with innovations and distinctly fresh flavors. I think I just found my regular pie place for when I don’t feel like going up the extra block to Gio’s for a Grandma or if I want delivery. Tip: check their Facebook page daily for specials. I scored my meatball pizza and half a dozen knots for just $ 13. They also do a plain pie and knots special for $ 10 from time to time.

I had to go back and give them the fifth star– I ordered online and upon getting back to my house realized they had given me the wrong dish. When I called up to tell them they apologized profusely and delivered the correct dish to my house(and let me keep the dish I had gotten in error). Granted, I live very close by and I wouldn’t expect that they would do this for everybody but that’s serious customer service right there. These guys have shown me a few different times now that they truly do care about their clientele.

Go there at least 2x a week. Amazing Pizza. Garlic knots are okay, but the pizza itself is great. Update: The buffalo slice is really good as well. Only thing, I find their pizza expensive. For a regular slice and a soda, is almost $ 5…for a special slice and a small soda cost me $ 7. More expensive than most places. Ordered several times for work, really large orders, and they are always the best in the area.

STOPWHATYOUAREDOINGANDORDER A PIEFROMTHEMRIGHTNOW!!! Three words… Sesame seed crust. OHMYGOD. The reason why I am so excited is that we moved to Oakdale a year ago and have had mediocre at best pizza delivery from the restaurants around us. We did a Unilocal search for a Hail Mary last resort for a great pizza delivery place and found Fargianos. They were super polite on the phone and we order a regular pie and because of another Unilocal review the pepperoni twists(they are mini bites of pepperoni, bread and garlic. Get the order of 6 that’s plenty!) They estimated 45 minutes to an hour and were spot on. The gentleman was very polite and smiled when greeted at the door which is great to see! We braced for the worst since we have been disappointed before from other delivery services. We tried the pepperoni twists first and were pleasantly surprised! Perfect amount of bread garlic and pepperoni where you are satisfied yet your aren’t offending the people around you with garlic breath! Now the big test was the reveal of the pie. Would it be oily, shifted cheese from the delivery. We opened the box and Angels came out! It was gorgeous, & the sesame seed crust was an added bonus(dip it in blue cheese and thank me later). It tasted amazing and we had to stop ourselves from eating the whole pie in one sitting! A++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I posted a review after the first two times we had Fargianos and I have to post again. We recently moved into the area and we have probably started ordering from them once a week. Their food is amazing! With the move, we hopped into GrubHub for something that was easy and could be delivered. On their GrubHub page, their menu is very customizable that it’s wonderful! My boyfriend and I have completely different tastes and their GrubHub allows you to choose which side you want your toppings on(first I have seen). Also, their pizzas are made with Panko Breadcrumbs(with also offering a flour option as well). Never had a Panko made pizza before and decided to give it a try… Let me tell you, it was to DIE for!!! The mozzarella sticks are great. They even have grated cheese on top! Their garlic knots were way too oily and garlic-y for us(and we are garlic loving people). However, their garlic bread was wonderful… But unfortunately they don’t have it available on GrubHub anymore. Also ordered Spinach Strambolis… Again… Amazing. Just ordered the stuff crust pizza tonight(for the boyfriend) and a chicken Cesar salad for myself. Again… Amazing! Tasted like the breadcrumbs were homemade! We are total fans of Fargianos! Have yet been to go to the actual restaurant in person but their delivery guys are always so nice and rather timely. Usually takes about an hour after we send our order in and we live in 2 towns over.

The specialty slices — delicious! Wings, not so much, overcooked and I am a huge wing person. Had a bunch of things from here, baked clams are really good, Stromboli was delicious! If you don’t like garlic do yourself a favor and avoid the garlic wing sauce — heartburn for days!!! And I don’t even get heartburn, so that’s saying something. Better than most places around, really nice owner. Soup is also pretty good just wish it had a little bit more flavor. If you’re going there a MUST have is the pepperoni garlic twists. OUTSTANDING. Specialty slices that are a must try — Chicken bacon bomber, chicken bacon ranch,(buffalo chicken is good but a little salty), regular slice is also decent. Bonus– they deliver.

This place is probably the best hole in the wall I’ve ever visited anywhere. The location is in a little strip center and the dining area is maybe six small couples tables, but WOW. The food was great. The gluten free menu was pretty big too. We came in for Mother’s Day and the place was empty, which was good for the six of us. They had a Mother’s Day special with a fixed price for a combination appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Fair price for great food. Everything was a big portions, but we were more than happy to take leftovers home. For appetizers, we split fried calamari, mussels marinara, and complimentary garlic knots and pepperoni rolls. The mussels were HUGE and you could suck them right out of the shell. There were simply fantastic. Had lots of sauce left over, but like I said, we were happy to take it home. My sister and I split the Tour of Italy, which included fried shrimp, chicken parmesan, meatballs, and baked ziti. We barely managed to finish it together it was so big, but we totally did. The meatballs were awesome. Just great. My mother had the eggplant Parmesan with baked ziti. Again, HUGE. She loved it. I just had to sneak a bite and I enjoyed it. My cousin had the gluten free chicken parmesan, which she can never find anywhere. Once more, HUGE. Plus, it was served with gluten free pasta, her choice. For dessert, my aunt took a cannoli home. It looked good, but we haven’t heard the consensus yet. My sister and I had the almond cake. Let me tell you, I will dream about that cake for years to come. We ate every scrap of it. Service: we were the only ones in the place so we well taken care of. They were all very nice and chatted with us. Ambiance: the place looks like a take-out joint. It is so small, which is tragedy because it’s so good! We had paper napkins and plastic silverware and to-go cups, but I won’t take off for that because of how great the food is. All in all, I wish the place was bigger because I imagine with more exposure, they’d be PACKED. Would definitely come back again if I lived in Long Island.

Stopped in here after a meeting nearby. Great food and great service. The owner was very nice and helped me with my order. Tried some kind of meatball, cheese and dough thing with their homemade tomato sauce. It was delicious! The slices are good too and prices are very reasonable. Was told they have a full dinner service but was there for lunch. Will stop in again when working in the area. Good local spot!
