Now, this is the real deal — a neighborhood spot with great food! The back room of the pizzeria is so small that a reservation couldn’t guarantee a free table… SO worth the wait! Friendly atmosphere, great bread basket(those garlic knots) and wonderful salad served family style. Menu has some items I haven’t seen elsewhere(try the chicken or veal crispino); carafe of good house wine very reasonably priced. Do not get put off by the location(shopping center) or size(small, with a capital«S» — the experience and value are enormous.

Have been having pizza and dinner here for over 15 years. Finally decided to show the love as everything is always first rate here, to the sesame seed covered pizza crust, to the garlicky sweet balsamic dressed house salad with fresh baby greens, black & green olives & pepperochini, to the hot and delicious bread basket of garlic knots and Italian bread with an olive oil spicy infused dipping sauce. And the food, Classic Italian to satisfy all, great portions for a very reasonable price. Meatballs, veal, chicken, fish any way you want, nightly specials, and great service. Our go to Italian pizzeria restaurant in town!

Being of Italian decent I am hard pressed to find local italian restaurants that meet my criteria for italian food. Francescos is one restaurant that meets my standards. Their food is quite close to home made(this is a rave coming from me!).

My family and I came here because of a coupon option. We couldn’t be happier, have decided it’s become one of our favorite places and plan to return very soon! Their prices are very reasonable and their portions are huge! We ordered the Caesar salad, chicken parm, baked ziti, red clam sauce and(forget the name) seafood linguine. The sauces were phenomenal and pasta cooked perfectly. The red clam sauce had more clam than spaghetti!(That’s a rarity.) The Caesar dressing was fantastic as well. Staff is very kind, the food wait is very decent and the music playing(not too loud) was pleasant.

I’ve been coming here for years and have never did a review… The food is consistent… Good…The bread basket to start has focaccia, garlic knots and regular italian bread. They have different one price specials during the week. The house salad is really good, but ask for the dressing on the side, otherwise it comes out drenched in the delicious house dressing. I usually get the grilled shrimp with spinach, my boyfriend usually gets a veal dish with artichokes, that’s looks yummy. Frank the owner is always there with a smile on his face… The desserts are few, but they are all good!

My job gets luncheon’s catered from this place about 2 times a month. The food is ALWAYS outrageous. Can’t complain about a single thing. Plus. they take care of our event coordinator. The food is always delivered on time and it’s always delicious

By far the BEST Italian food in West Islip or close. I’ve been living here for 11 years and someone just told me about this place. I’m really upset because I didn’t know about it for ELEVEN years! What??? One of my friends 15 year old daughters recommended the Thai Calamari as she said«it’s heavenly»! Hah. She was correct! It is heavenly and now we crave it. The bracciole when it’s on the menu is so delicious. It’s cooked for hours and falls apart in your mouth and NO it’s not dry like your grandmother used to make it. Seriously, this place rocks. Just go for dessert and coffee one night. Get the Tartufo. You will be back. From the bread basket with homemade focaccia to the dessert cart you won’t be sorry you came!

What a great neighborhood secret. They have everything, not just pizza. I came in with dietary restrictions and they did everything right. Gluten free and dairy free options. Wonderful, friendly service, and the portions are beyond generous. Great prices. We’ll be back, for sure.

If you have not been to Francescos Trattoria you don’t know what you are missing. I love«sleeper» restaurants and this is one of them! Authentic Italian cuisine served with a smile. Frank runs an awesome establishment. Already looking forward to our next visit.

This place is a total hole in the wall, but it has bar-none the best pizza on long Island. I stumbled upon this place many years ago driving around with a friend of mine, and a recent visit proved it wasn’t just fond memories. This pizza is DAMNED good. Crispy, gooey, hot, and totally delicious. They also make a pretty epic calzone. If the other reviews are even HALF right, I really HAVE to try the regular food sometime. If I can pull myself away from the pizza that is.

Francesco’s Thursday Shrimp Night is so very very good we are planning on being there every Thursday. Just about every chicken and veal dish is made with large tasty shrimp on Thursday, along with their great salad or soup, pasta, warm crispy bread with olive oil dip, dessert(Spumoni or chocolate cake), coffee or tea at $ 14.95. The food is perfect, the service friendly, and the price so reasonable you easily forget it’s a pizzeria with sit down restaurant in the back, in a strip mall. You will love it!

Been lamenting the fact that there’s absolutely NO good restaurants near where my father lives. I take it back, there’s one. Francesco’s is as good italian food as I’ve had, including from my own family. I haven’t a single criticism. From the bread to the salad to the lasagna to the house merlot, I was enthralled and enchanted. None of us could walk properly because we stuffed ourselves. It’s the real deal. Never had the pizza so can’t comment on that. However if you’re not in the mood for italian food, then there’s no other good restaurants in this area.

Love Francesco’s! Owner Frank and his staff do a great job serving home-made style meals. The dining room is always filled with regulars… lots of loyalty. Extensive menu of many«comfort food» Italian specialities. Fresh, and delicious. There are MANY Italian joints between Babylon and Sayville, and most of the ones I’ve tried are way below average. We keep going back to Francesco’s, and you should, too!

Dinners here are deceent for the money, very inconsistant though. WE did take out one night recently and the slices we ordered fro my son were probalby about 10 hours old. How can you serve someone food that old? Use to be a regular, not anymore.
