Please tell me this place isn’t out of business. It’s Simply Irresistible. I love the calamari, textured perfectly and never greasy. The wine selection is vast, I’d go with the spicy kick of a Syrah. Meat and non meat lovers will not be disappointed as one might actually feel as if they gained intelligence once they consume a salad, with or as their meal. The wait staff is speedy and knowledgeable and will take the time to explain any item in detail. I appreciate the fact that they asked about any potential food allergies. Every visit to MA includes a stop by or catered meal from Fusions!

This place is certainly no longer in business. So long average asian fusion.

Not bad. The food was good, the drinks were fine and we had a nice meal. I had the sashimi app, a California roll, the calamari(delicious!), a Mediterranean salad and the lo mein. It was all good but… There was something very«New Haven County”-ish about this place. That’s not a good thing. I think it was the décor which had a color scheme that didn’t encourage enjoyable eating, and the clientele — there just seemed to be a lot of people coming, going, and talking with management or workers that didn’t seem to be buying anything(hanging around) — which detracted from the otherwise professional and higher end atmosphere of the place. So, I think three stars is about right. 4 stars for food, 2 stars for my personal experience eating here. We probably won’t go back here, but I really don’t want that to discourage you from eating here. The food is quite good.

Great place for a meal or some tapas with friends. The service at the bar was fairly speedy and the wine list is extensive enough for all but the most discerning tastes. A friend and I ordered shrimp & avocado spring rolls, beef tenderloin bruschetta, and sweet potato fries. All were delicious, but for some reason, the beef took a while to come out of the kitchen. No matter, we had plenty of food in the meantime. I don’t know what they do to make their sweet potato fries so good, but they are the best I’ve ever had. Try them! We had so much food we couldn’t finish it all, so bring a few friends, order a few different tapas items, and enjoy.

I went to Fusion with a group of 7 from work. We made reservations in advance which was very necessary. My first impression after ordering cocktails was that the owner came over and fielded a question from us and explained the difference between the sushi, maki and sashimi on their menu. He was very friendly. We ordered a bunch of appetizers. A large sampler of maki, the fried calamari, sweet potato fries, The maki was really good but the star was the calamari. It’s coating was crisp and crunchy while the calamari was tender. It’s tossed in General Tsao’s sauce. I’d never had it that way, a nice twist! The fries(which I insisted we order) were good but in hindsight a bit out of place. My entrée was their house lo mein(FUSION’S TENINGREDIENTLOMEIN). It was delicious in the way

Tapas! Pot stickers, coconut shrimp, warm pistachio crusted goat cheese salad, East Longmeadow roll, calamari– some of my favorites. Always a good meal. Pricey so not somewhere we go often. But just right for special occasions. Negatives– well, expensive as I said. And when the piano player is on its too loud to talk. Still, we do go back so…

Aw, such hate for Fusion. This is actually one of my favorite places in East Longmeadow. Yes, we can get the negatives out of the way right off the bat — it’s expensive as hell. Items range from about $ 10 to $ 20 for tapas shared items and can be even higher for meals. The drinks are expensive, the sushi is expensive, it’s an expensive place. However, if you’re willing to spend the money, I honestly believe you’re going to have a fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere is fantastic. Darkly mood-lit with tables everywhere, but spaciously laid out(I hate when a restaurant tries to cram you in.) Often they will have live music from a person at a full-sized piano, but it never overwhelmed the place or your conversation — instead adds to it. And the food is amazing. Hot, fresh, tasty. Some standout items: the sweet potato fries with aioli sauce. Fantastic. The coconut shrimp with sweet dipping sauce? Maybe the best fried shrimp I’ve had. The crazy bow tie pasta is delicious. Their salads always come out fresh and well displayed. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten anything here that isn’t fantastic. Yes, the service can be a little slow, but it depends on who you have. Sometimes it’s amazing and sometimes it’s hit-or-miss. Still, for that food, fantastic. I do love Fusian and I will keep coming back. Mmm…

Flipping through the huge menu about 5 pages in or so I found the actual food. A bit pricey? Some of the sushi rolls were up to 35 dollars(this isn’t NYC) but we ordered one sushi roll, a few appetizer size tapas and the shrimp pad thai. The first tapa style appetizer was a fusion lobster roll off the special menu, it came with lobster and imitation crab meat, asparagus, cream cheese, wrapped and fried. Now I don’t like to let presentation affect my reviews on food, but I couldn’t help but comment on how terrible the plate is. I felt like I was eating off a cafeteria plate, it was way oversized for the portion and just not appealing to the eye. However, if the food is good then presentation really doesn’t matter to me. This just wasn’t that good. It was very plain, had nothing unpredictable about it, it was something you could make at home. Boring. This was the 2 in 1 spicy roll with spicy tuna, salmon, cucumber, and asparagus. It was covered in spicy mayo, which usually I’m a fan of but it was a bit excessive for me. The sushi itself was fresh and tasty, but certainly not the best sushi I’ve ever had. Nothing to write home about, but nothing really wrong with it either. Next we moved onto the artichoke crêpe. First things first, I expected the crêpe to be stuffed, but instead all the what should have been filling of the crêpe were on the outside and under one lonely but tasty crêpe. Unfortunately there was only one crêpe and an overwhelming amount of artichokes. This way of presenting the dish seemed very lazy to me and the overall dish itself was extremely uninspiring. It doesn’t take much culinary creativeness and skill to make one crêpe and then put pre-marinated artichokes and roasted red peppers alongside. How disappointing. It didn’t require much preparing at all and the amount of artichoke to crêpe ratio was so ridiculous it was almost laughable. Taste was mediocre, the only thing I wanted more of was the actual crêpe or just less artichokes. Oh and hey, where were the bits of roasted garlic that were supposed to be there? Nowhere to be found. Now for the crispy orange chicken sauteed in a tangy orange sauce. Ugh, boring again. That green sauce has made an appearance in almost every dish bordering around the edges trying to make this boring and plain dish into something more special, but it fails. The chicken was crispy, yes, but not any better than orange chicken you can get from a chinese takeout place. It was just presented more nicely. This is where I’m really starting to wonder how anyone can honestly take this restaurant seriously and use the word«amazing» in a review for Fusion Café. I just don’t get it and I’m curious what other restaurants they could compare Fusion Café to because I’d like to avoid the places that are worse than this, please. Now for the biggest upset of the whole meal, the $ 17 dollars spent on this shrimp pad thai was probably one of the worst 17 dollars I’ve ever spent on a dish. Recently I got the same amount of pad thai for 11 dollars at a hole in the wall and it was 10x better than this. First bite I taste this tangy, spicy bitterness on my tongue. They put tons of banana peppers in there. WHY? Why would anyone do that to pad thai? I’ve never seen this before in my life. I don’t recall seeing this in the description and just to double check I’m on their website right now and it says«Rice noodle, shrimp, Asian veggies and peanute». So we ordered some dessert in hopes that something could save the experience, they didn’t have the bread pudding that they say they have on their website which is what I was looking forward to ordering, so I asked the waitress what she thinks the best dessert is and she mentioned the chocolate cake but since I wasn’t interested in chocolate cake she also mention crème brûlée and said the deep dish cookie was popular. So I ordered the deep dish cookie, served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate and caramel sauces. Unfortunately it was raw so we sent it back. She apologized and asked if we wanted them to make a whole new one, but since it takes 15 minutes to make we just asked for the crème brûlée instead which was definitely the good part of the meal. Overall, this place is all hype in my opinion. $ 90 later we left feeling unsatisfied and unhappy with our meal. I honestly get more satisfaction at fast food and chain restaurants than I did here. They reach too far to be an innovative fusion tapas restaurant but one can’t master several cuisines until they have mastered one first. This is a good example of a restaurant jumping to creating a outrageously diverse menu just for the sake of it rather than concentrating on the quality of each dish. While this place had a great idea, the execution was lacking.
