I was treated to Zorn’s by a coworker. She picked it up, and drove it back to Melville. Was still awesome and tasty after the travels. So good — hard to think of anything else to say. Creamed spinach — really yum. Taters, mashed, very good. Definitely love a place like this.

Permanently closed after Hurricane Sandy. They still have Bellmore and Bethpage stores.

Delicious rotisseire chicken, salads, soups and wraps. Zorn’ s has more than one location in the Long island area. The one located in Bethpage has a «yelp Deal» currently going on, a $ 10 for $ 20 deal. Zorn’s is like a «Boston Market» but a 100 times better, the chicken and sides are really good and tasty You can also order your Thanksgiving turkey and sides at Zorns. The people are super friendly, what more can I say. Oh yeah, they accept all major credit cards, except American Express.

I think they should change their slogan to «Zorn’s…Come Get Some!». Is place is good home cooked food for cheap. Their chicken fingers are where it’s at and their side dishes are epic. I could eat their Sweet Potato mash all day everyday. Love Zorn’s!

I like to think of this place as a better Boston Market; they serve similar food that tastes better at the same price(possibly a bit less) as you would pay at Boston Market. The place itself has its own ample parking lot. The interior is clean and well laid out. You order your food, pick it up, pay at the register, choose a seat, and chow down. Simple and efficient. The chicken was moist and delicious, the sides were well-prepared, and you get a very nice portion of food that you could share or bring home as left-overs. Zorn’s does it right. I’ve never been disappointed with a trip here.

Exactly the same as Boston Market but cheaper and you get much more for what you pay for. First of all, the restaurant is super clean and very comfortable. The chicken was moist and tasty. The sweet potatoes were like candy. They were a must to get when choosing sides with your meal. You won’t be disappointed with these for sure. The stuffing needs gravy! It’s also a bit salty but ok. The ribs were ok but they really could have used alot less sauce. They were drenched and hard to eat. The sauce is not that good. Maybe if you order them without the sauce it would be much better. Its a nice place to get a decent lunch. I still would rather go here then Boston Market.

The food here is fresh and relatively inexpensive. When you order certain things such as grilled chicken or sweet potato fries they make them on the spot. I personally compare Zorns to a better Boston Market with many more side options. You have the option to pig out here or get very healthy food.

We live in Commack and elected to eat at Zorns based on the Unilocal reviews. We were surprised to see that this Zorns was not a restaurant, but Take Out, hense the tittle the name«Best Take Out in Long Island». We ordered the take out Bucket of Breasts and a 5 piece sesame seed chicken dinner with creamed spinach, mash potatoes and gravy. Service was fast, I was in and out in under 5 minutes. When we arrived home, the bucket of breasts, spinach, mash potatoes and gravy were in the bag, but sesame chicken had been left out. I called the store where I was immediately connected to Shawn, the manager,. who offered to deliver the missing food to us. Although, this was kind effort on his part to correct the problem, having to wait for the food to be prepared then delivered the 18 miles, was not going to work. He then offered to provide me with a store credit for our next arrival, which we accepted thinking that we would not ever want to return. As we sat down for dinner with a sour taste about the place, we were delighted to find that we were feasting on the best chicken this side of the Mason-Dixion line and we are now looking forward to returning to Zorns for that store credit. My suggestion is keep Shawn and better train whom ever fills out their pick up orders.

This is some decent comfort food at a good price. I’ve been here twice and have gotten the dark meat fried chicken and have tried the mac & cheese, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. The chicken is really nice — nice and tender and juicy and a good fatty crisp on the skin. The sides are OK — I think the stuffing is really great, but the mac & cheese was just blah — a little bland, not enough creaminess … just very underwhelming. I’d like to come by for lunch some day and see what specials they have.

The other Zorn’s in Bethpage is MUCH better. This location is small with less options. The chicken is great, and that’s really why you go, but the sides leave a lot to be desired. The biscuits are also just plain old mini rolls you can get from the supermarket. The prices are pretty expensive, too. You do get a lot of food for the price, however, the food itself isn’t actually worth the price that they’re charging you for.

Very unique place. Zorn’s is similar to a Boston market style place, in that it serves meats, sides, and desserts… but oral tastes a hell of a lot better. They have these sesame chicken tenders that are amazing, and the all American comfort style sides couldn’t be more delicious. They have some pretty awsome dipping sauces too; the zesty bbq and honeymustard(two bcommon sides) are just like no other you’ve ever tasted before. Here you can either take out or dine in, but there is no waiter service!

I had high hopes for Zorn’s because of other reviews. I ordered the dark meat rotisserie chicken with sides of macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. The chicken was flavorful and good. The macaroni and cheese had much to be desired and I didn’t eat the entire helping. The mashed potatoes were a bit better but nothing to write home about. My total meal with a drink was about $ 10. For the price you get a lot of food but it really is no different than a Boston Market.

It would be a slap in the face, nay… it would be downright UNAMERICAN to give Zorn’s anything less than a 5 star rating. Zorn’s has been a landmark in the local community and beyond since before my grandparents moved to Long Island in the 1950’s. And for good reason! Zorn’s signature chicken, pastries, and their friendly service have all stood the test of time – which is probably why it remains so unchanged today(Hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?) From the vintage façade to the old fashioned family style dishes, entering Zorn’s feels like stepping into a time machine. Even the staff and clientele are the kind of warm, salt-of-the-earth New York people you thought only existed in movies(Today I heard an employee offer a patron a hug – you won’t see that on any menu!) Their rotisserie chicken is fall-off-the-bone succulent, and I could eat their roasted potatoes for breakfast lunch and dinner. I only get to enjoy Zorn’s when visiting my grandfather, who is strictly a meat-and-potatoes kind of guy, so I haven’t had the opportunity to try some of their other dishes like mac n’ cheese, Spanish rice, or(my weakness) stuffing! Things to Know: — If it’s your first time at Zorn’s, don’t be intimidated by the serpentine line of customers methodically wending their way up to the counter. Just follow the throng – they are probably regulars who know the drill. — After hearing a half dozen people order their chicken cut into«thumbits», I was like«Alright. I give up. What are thumbits?» Apparently they take a whole chicken(bones and all) and cut it into bite-size chunks to make your chicken-eating experience more manageable – who knew!

Fried chicken and tidbits are amazing! I heard the sesame chicken sandwich is awesome as well! Sides are tasty and you’ll have a hard time choosing mac and cheese, mashed, corn, creamed spinach, etc! Moves quickly like a fast food place, but has a counrty home cooked meal taste you can’t get from KFC!

I’ve been all over the country and this joint does comfort food as good as anywhere else. Fried chicken, biscuits, mashed potatoes, all good stuff. The best item on the menu? Sesame chicken tenders. Trust me, grab an order and mix their honey mustard and horseradish sauce together, and you’ll be floored by how good it is, and by how many you eat. I’m up to 12 at a time now!

~Takeout Review~ I got take out from Zorn’s on Saturday night. The place was empty! We were in and out in under 10 minutes. Chicken pot pie, mac ‘n cheese, and stuffing get a big thumbs up for me. My party of four ate for just over $ 30 with a little left over. Can’t go wrong. Beware though. They close quite early for a Saturday, 8:30pm! Definitely better to take out then eat there. Not much of an atmosphere.

Y’all better disregard the review under sincerest apologies Jared!). The chicken and(beef) ribs were quite delectable. The ribs were sweet(definitely not«super-sweet) as ribs should be. The chicken was pretty good for some hick place in Long Island(Sorry civilians of East Meadow). The restaurant according to my boyfriend of two years, «is built for families now than it was in the 80s, when it was a run down place). Go here for quality food for cheap. «Y’all have a good time now mmkay»

«Long Island’s Favorite Takeout» is what the sign says, but they also let you eat inside the place too. After ordering from the cafeteria style line, take your tray to the cashier and sit wherever you please. So about the chicken and ribs from the restaurant name… the chicken is good. It might not have the flavor inside and out like some Dominican joints in the city, but it might fly as «famous» out here. The ribs, however, are just plain bad. They are tough, chewy, and the sauce is a super-sweet disaster. There is something magical about Zorn’s though. It feels like The United States of America should feel. The space between the booths and table is ample enough for anyone of any size. Anything on the menu that has«dinner» behind it is actually family-sized. The portion I had is what the menu calls a chicken & rib dinner($ 10.49) and comes with two sides of your choice and a small roll. I chose the stuffing(good) and the spinach(bad), and shared the meal with a friend. We had no chance of finishing off the whole thing, but noticed some giants near our table that ordered one apiece and were having no problem. Ahhh… America.
