Place is CLOSEDCLOSEDCLOSED! Finally this dump is gone! Stomachs everywhere are thankful! With this wanna be weiner joint gone, the world is a little better place. Hopefully never to return.

This is truly a late night, and drunk food place. Pretty good hot weiners, coffee milk is made with local manroe dairy milk which is killer. DONTBOTHERWITHTHEFRENCHFRIESTHEYSUCK. Onion rings are ok. they make a decent breakfast plate the next morning to help the hangover. the burgers are super greasy but i have a soft spot for the bacon cheese burger w/T.L.M. Basically don’t order the fries and you’ll be good, they are open super late, rather have this then McDonalds ect. and i suggest being drunk.

This is great late nigh comfort food. My Idea of comfort food is greasy cheese loaded fried food that doesn’t take a lot of effort to make. The kind of stuff you can order at a bowling ally snack bar. Cheesy fries, weenies with the works, coffee milk. All that great stuff along with breakfast food. It’s simple and delicious. Exactly what I want after a long day, late at night.

Went here with a friend, though I will say we didn’t dine-in. We were walking by and decided to try his weiner place. I will admit they were really good, just not my favorite. I thought they were friendly and the place was… a bit outdated but clean.

Gah-reaseeeeyy. Seriously. Super greasy everything. Grilled cheese was soaked through and the bread practically non existent. The fries were the worst situation. They fry them up, then put them in «fish buckets»(you know those little milky plastic buckets that are often used in food prep until items need to be cooked) and pull out the already fried fries and re fry when ordered. I’m sure that’s not a health code violation, right?

The wieners aren’t what they use to be, but it does the trick if you’re looking for something to quickly snack on. The Club sandwich is very small with a not so good THICK slice of ham. The bacon was cooked to perfection though! I didn’t try the mushroom burger, but it looks really good! The fries are usually always over cooked when we get them. I would recommend they re-paint the place. It’s extremely gloomy and dark in there. When I went in there it was semi busy with only one woman running around crazy trying to get everyone’s orders.

Disclaimer — Did not order wieners. I stopped in for a quick lunch in between shifts. It was pretty dark and gloomy in there, matching the outside weather. Was pretty impressed with the one lady staffing the whole place, which while not busy, had a few seated throughout the restaurant. Ordered the steak sandwich and onion rings. The server informed me it was a cubed-steak patty, not the shredded meat I was expecting. A little small, but at just over five bucks, very satisfying. Onion rings(and the one lone fry that had snuck in) were terrific, slightly sweet breading. This is a good place for loners to stop in off 195 and grab some above average RI-style greasy spoon fare.

Came here and it was late night but others were in there relaxing. When I walked in this woman made me feel so unwelcome it was the only time i have EVER gotten late night diner food to go. It was not the post live music food top off i had hoped for. Did not have the hot dogs instead i got pancakes… so sue me. not into hotdogs. from anywhere. Probably would not return. The only redeeming thing about the experience was while sitting at counter for my to go order and a heaping of resentment from other woman this young cashier and the cook were cool. The cashier was friendly and nice. I got a slice of pie too. cuz, you know it is a diner.

Geez did this place take a nosedive. Tiny dinky little weiners that have been sitting on the griddle so long they’ve turned into donkey hide. Screwing the customer by cutting the weiners short is kinda shitty. I hope they stop doing that. And I hope they pay more attention to over-cooking the weiners in the future.

Just facts RE: wiener 1) they cut wieners too short — cheapo(wieners DON’T come precut they come in a long intestinal looking rope) 2) they don’t rotate them which creates a dried out, leathery side that’s inedible. Lazy & dumb 3) service? If you’ve proven loyalty (therefore, bad taste & poor experience) they seem to be friendlier. Short-sighted business model 4) they don’t know how to anticipate the flow of customers and therefore the dogs are old and exacerbates the problem of #2. I bought 3, ate 2. Await vomiting 2. AVOID

My East Providence Wiener Joint! Good spot to grab three all the way a coffee milk and people watch late night after Boozen. Fries could use some work though

Well I broke my own rule. Never eat a hot weiner outside of Olneyville. I got 2 all the way. Hard/stale roll and just as much onion as weiner. Not good at all. The fries saved them from 1 star. They aren’t great but at least I could stomach them. Very dissapointed.

One of the few places left where they still put the weinies on their arms and they know what you mean when you order a cabinet. Plus there is a jukebox. Open till 3. Hell Yes.

This is one place that my husband and I certainly don’t agree upon. While I give it a 2, he would most likely give it a 4. I’ve only come to Sparky’s late-night after being at bars & such. The weiners aren’t even that good, in my opinion. He, on the other hand, raves about them! The joint seems to pull in alot of regulars and other fanfare… sure could use a makeover though. The service is quick, I’ll give it that, but not my type of considerate… they expect you to understand the menu and I’m made to feel like a dummy or outsider when asking questions about the«All the Way». Sorry, I’m not one of said regulars… shoot me. As long as the hubby has guys’ nights in Providence, he’ll be heading here for an evening/morning cap. I think I’ll pass next time.

Sorry fellow Unilocalers, this place is just the worst! All I could think about at this place was how much better Tex Barry’s is. I won’t ever go here again!

Been coming here for over 30 years and still loving it. Now live in midwest but every time we go back to Cape Cod, we have to stop in. Kids have grown very fond of the place. If you’re looking for ultra modern, sterile and cookie cutter, this is not your type of place. Sorry to see John C and Rob A. weren’t impressed. They missed out on a real Mom-n-Pop treat. Agreed, they used to be better with slightly higher quality but still among the best around. Wish they could ship to Oklahoma!!!

Thinking it must be okay after reading reviews, I checked it out. Nothing has confused my stomach that much in a long time. The side of the fryer hadn’t been cleaned for some time, the grill had many broken cross bars that had fallen down so food has to be cooked around the broken areas. The onion rings were good enough but did they come from Sysco? The owner guy came by after the lady tossed the rings in the fryer and tossed something else in the fryer with them. I think it was a ring but where did it come from? Did he wash his hands before touching it? No one knows! Won’t be back.

Sorry folks, this is not the place. Yes, they used to have great wieners, but they’ve gone way down hill. I know they do good business but that’s not a good indicator. Give it a try if you like, but don’t base you wiener experience on this place alone. In fact, I can judge a good hot wiener by the hours later burps. The day after burps from this place were terrible.

I was reminded by a gal pal that lives in Providence of a gross reminder: The hairy-er the arm(of the person that makes hot weiners) the better it tastes. Ugh.
