Bellavia Chevrolet Buick

I like to research anything that involves long-​term use, so when I began researching crossovers under $ 200/​month (lease) I was surprised to see Buick come up. I continued to do research; safety, gas consumption, handle etc. I was surprised to see the great reviews and how well priced the vehicle really was. We went to Belavia and spoke to Mitch. Mitch was an impressive individual to say the least! There was no pressure, no fake connection, no hawking. Mitch was very respectful of letting us browse and was very easy going. I never experienced this from a car dealership sales person! Mitch is as genuine as they come! He went above and beyond to ensure we got the best deal. If you’re thinking he just behaved that way to get rid of the inventory guess again. We went there a couple of months after the purchase to ask a question and he was in the middle of helping another couple and stepped away to answer our question! There was no incentive for him except to be an amazing employee! I wish every establishment had a Mitch!

I saw a pre-​owned vehicle on their website, and they actually had it – first good sign, as a growing number of dealerships are using fake listings to bring in would-​be customers.
Email correspondence with Tom LoBue was prompt and informative. I made an appointment to see the car, and he was available. Again, you would think all this is to be expected, but it is becoming more and more rare for auto sales to be at our convenience, instead of theirs.
Very pleasant guy, no pressure whatsoever. I was able to test drive the vehicle without giving the dealership all sorts of personal information. I wound up not buying the vehicle in question, but I had to write about my experience with this place because this is how shopping ought to be. Should they get a vehicle that is on my list, I will certainly be seeing them again.

I highly recommend this place. I had been to another Chevy dealership that was impossible to get a follow up or answers. Here they were extremely friendly and although my cars parts took a little longer to come in they were very helpful and let me know exactly what was going on. I really appreciate the staff here

I say this! Don’t rely on having work done if you have to have a mechanic there diagnose the issue. Not blaming the service managers but the mechanics and perhaps not all of them are freekin crooks. I was quoted over 800 dollars for a brake job and told numerous parts needed replacement. I was not buying it and took the vehicle home and checked myself. Not only was the diagnosis completely wrong and even non existent but the repair cost me about 6 dollars to clean and relube some slide pins for brake calipers. Come on give me a brake .Do you think we are all idiots!

Gary C. in sales was very upfront and easy to deal with. I’ve worked with many different dealers around the area and this was the most pleasant experience to date. I didn’t have to go through the typical car dealer haggling. He gave me a great price right away, and closing the deal was just as quick.
I’ve had the car 2 years and for the few hiccups along the way, the Service Department has been equally amazing. I’ve dealt with a few different people (forgot the names) and they have all been very helpful and the department itself is VERY efficient.
The revamped service office is top notch. Always a good experience at this dealer.

This dealership’s ethics are very questionable. The first time I visited this dealership was in the spring and I asked to take a Camaro for a test drive as well as get more information. The salesman told me I couldn’t test drive it because it was boxed in, but I could go see it. After I went to see the car, the salesman said to return to the dealership in a week and then I could test drive the car. However, In my head I was thinking that he wasn’t taking me seriously or he would’ve taken the car out for me to test drive THAT DAY or at the very least the next day. So after I left I told myself I wouldn’t be returning there.
Then recently I started researching and trying to find the best of the «End of the Summer» deals. My friend told me she knew a guy at a Chevy dealership so we decided to go see him. I didn’t know it was the same dealership until I showed up, so I begrudgingly decided to give the place a second chance since my friend knew the guy.
I’ve been car shopping before and it sucks. Salesmen are going to always be salesmen with their own best interest in mind, but this guy we went to see was just the slimiest salesman I’ve ever met
I walked in there and told him I wanted to test drive a V8 Camaro which he told me he didn’t have and then proceeded to try and talk me out of. He then kept insisting that a V6 was better and that I should at least test drive it, so I did. Needless to say a V6 does not compare to a V8, and although it was aesthetically pleasing, it wasn’t what I wanted. Let me emphasize, the car I test drove was a fully loaded black Camaro with leather seats, gauges along the middle console, etc etc.
After we go back inside the dealership, he kept trying to talk me out of the V8 and I told him that I would settle for a V6 as long as it was THE SAME EXACT car as the one I test drove but in white. He agreed to the deal, asked for a deposit, asked for insurance information, and then told me the car would be shipped to the dealership by Wed.
(Side note: every time I asked him for a price on different Camaros, he said he didn’t have a price to give me if he didn’t have the vehicle in stock. He wouldn’t even give me an estimate– which of course he was lying)
Anyway…
#1 The car that was delivered was not the car I agreed to
#2 He kept saying that the car I test drove never had leather interior or the gauges
#3 Keep in mind, it is impossible to confuse a car with those features for one without
#4 When I asked him about the lack of leather seats, he initially claimed that the seats were half fabric and half leather-​then later «discovered» they were fabric all along
#5 He said he did me a favor by getting me an «extra tire»…which in fact the car already comes with a «donut»
#6 When I got there he was all excited for me to sign papers, but I insisted on test driving the car again before signing… so to add insult to injury, I found a rather large scratch/​hole on the steering wheel in which I pointed out to him.
#7 To which, he replied and said that after I signed the papers, I could take it in to get fixed (Why do I want to get a car and bring it in the next day to get something fixed? It’s their job to make the sure that the car is in the right condition to be sold before, not after!)
#8 After all that, he tried to take $ 25 off the payments just to make up for the gash on the steering wheel. Then he kept insisting it was the best deal I was ever going to get
#9 Once we were outside, he then said I wasn’t as «slick» as I thought I was, and to just get the car
#10 By the way, at one point he even said I couldn’t get my deposit back because it was for the delivery fee. (Another lie)
#11 Then when I officially didn’t want to get the car anymore, he said he would do me another «favor» and refund the deposit because I was a friend of a friend. (Also a lie, because he HAS to give me my deposit back. It would be ILLEGAL if he didn’t.)
**Moral of the story: I should’ve trusted my gut the first time. Don’t go to Bellavia. I called other places and they were much more helpful, respectful, and honest. By honest, I mean that a different dealership returned my call and made it clear that, even if I didn’t buy a car from them instead of Bellavia, they just wanted me to know that it would be illegal for Bellavia to keep my deposit.
**What I also learned? If you are having a car delivered, test drive it one last time before signing just so you can double check to make sure there’s no huge gashes and that it is the same car you wanted. Hell, maybe I even should’ve taken pictures of the car I test drove just to prove what a liar he was.
**Guess what? Also thanks to them, I have insurance on the Camaro I never bought since they went ahead and prematurely processed it. Fortunately, it’s easy to fix, just inconvenient.

Best experience I have ever had at a dealership service department ever! They went above and beyond showing me what was wrong and fixing everything they could find… Jeff the mechanic was awesome and Jim the service advisor was top notch… I highly recommend this dealership… Especially after having the exact opposite experience at Paramus Chevrolet… Stay away from that POS place!

I hate car shopping. I am sure everyone feels the same way. You never get the deal that you are promised and you always leave feeling cheated and never wanting to buy a car again. We recently leased a Chevy Equinox after shopping around for a few weeks. Matt was the only car salesman that did not act like a typical car salesman. He was honest, thorough and was great to work with. We love our car and would recommend Bellavia and Matt to anyone looking for a no hassle car shopping experience. We also were well taken care of by Tony the day we picked up the car. Will definitely be back!

I’m happy to say that I finally found a car dealership that you can trust. The people here are really friendly, and before you say they’re only friendly because they’re trying to make a sale… I will have you know that they do not use any sale tactics. They are good honest people. In the mood for GM products… give them a chance.
