Really bad service here. I booked a facial and massage for my girlfriend two weeks ago and they call me the day of the appointment to let me know the person doing the facial called out for personal reasons. They called me two hours before the appointment, like really!!? It is a gift for my girlfriend, and they offered me nothing for the inconvenience. They would give me the same rate for facial in the future, when it was their fault that the facial wasn’t done. My girlfriend also told me they were terribly unprofessional and she had a mysterious bump on her finger. Stay away from this place they are horrible, I should’ve listened to the reviews before mine, don’t make the same mistake. Stay away!!!

Meaning, this is the 21st century. You do not get to schedule a wrong day, and tell me we haven’t wasted your time by driving here, because our system shows otherwise. Horrible. Horrible.

I had a very wonderful massage by Jazmine she is great, she work on all my problem areas. She has very good knowledge of what she’s doing I really recommend her. If you like more on the deeper pressure she’s the one to go to !

I went with a friend who knew I had a hectic and stressful day at work so she scheduled a session for us after work same day. The massage was basic and at the end the write you a wellness plan, which she read out loud in front of the guest waiting for their massages. I think the plan should be read to you alone as having someone hear you have a lot of stress … Etc is none of their business. It was awkward and a stupid business practice. The worst part of it all a few hours later my entire body started itching, only to have bumps appear all over where they rubbed the oil? It felt like oil, when I called today to ask them what was the name of the product the receptionist or whom ever answered the phone advised it was called Biotin. After I told him my body has gives/bumps all over it and I wanted to be specific when I told my doctor, he became stand offish. Smh. I’ve had many massages and never broke out before.

I had a gift card from my mom for Christmas cause she knows how much I love a good massage. I was so disappointed. When I got there, one of the staff was eating in the waiting area — that’s a HUGE turnoff to me. At first I thought she was a customer then I realized she was a manager/supervisor. The receptionist was surprise I was there 45 min before my scheduled appointment. I understood why though, because I thought it was a real spa where you can relax perhaps in a hot tub or sauna or something before your massage but no, it’s not. Then a masseuse came out and they were gossiping about somebody who was rude/upset whatever have you about a garbage bag that wasn’t properly inserted into a garbage can and the bag fell in and someone was mad blah blah blah and the receptionist kept saying«I’ll tell you later.» Obviously cause I was there but they kept talking about it… Such a turn off for me. I didn’t care to hear your stupid conversation but you didn’t bother to tell me about your products or the packages available. And yes you should have listened to the receptionist at that time. Because you were unprofessional. My masseur was nice but I think he fell asleep on me. He sat on the stool and his massaging went from strong to weak and to what felt like one finger barely touching me. I slowly opened my eyes, lifted my head off the table and he’s head was so far down I could not even see him. I asked«how’s it going?» His response was«are you okay?» So he was obviously not attentive. I think he was really tired, he was stretching while massaging me and I ended up engaging in a conversation with him to keep him awake, when I really wanted to relax and obviously not talk. Creeps me out a lot actually. On top of it he was massaging me HANDSANITIZER even the sleaziest place use real massaging oil. He put it on my face and I thought«alcohol» or a strong product that doesn’t go well with me at the end I checked the bottle and i he had in his apron and it was Purell hand sanitizer. The massage ended abruptly… So weird, a good masseur would time themselves and would slowly wrap things up. It was NOTHING like that. It ended like this, «is this enough pressure?» He asked and I responded«a little more!» And he said«oh, your time is up, your sessions has ended!» — I totally has a blank stare. Then I went to pay, the receptionist had the nerve to ask for tip. I endeds up leaving $ 20 against my will. It’s hard to say no after you’ve been put on the spot. While paying, another customer was upset about someone messing up her scheduled session, she was so upset. The manager(same lady eating in the waiting area) was apologetic and truly tried to smooth things out which was good but the customer still walked out upset. Lastly, while paying, I felt the back of my leg itching only to wake up the next morning with a big red itchy patch on my leg… Could it be bedbugs? IDK but I’m NOTHAPPYATALL. I would never go back there EVER again… HATEDIT. And I can’t even tell my mom it was a terrible idea of a gift. Thank Massage Envy from East Rutherford, total disappointment.

I’m really mad. These people can’t get their scheduling right to save their asses. The one in Clifton was fine the one time I went. I made an appointment for TODAY for 6 and they out it in to their system. I just walked in and they said they had put it for Monday with spouse. Firstly I wanted it today and secondly, I’m not even fucking married. I’m never coming here again.

So if you’ve been to one massage envy, you’ve pretty much been to them all. Yes, it’s a chain massage place, and you can get some inexperienced staff members, but if you find a good therapist and can lock them in at a good price, then massage envy can be a great experience. I have had some horribleeee therapists at various locations and also some really great ones. I come to this location because I found a fantastic therapist, Lisa, who is able to do a deep tissue massage with the flow and relaxation of a Swedish! I book her every month in advance because she books up fast. Parking is convenient at this location, as it’s located in a shopping center strip on rt. 17 with a number of other stores, including a Starbucks.

I can’t figure out why I had to pay over $ 60 for a massage when my wife bought me a «Free Massage» gift certificate and I presented that to the attendant. The attendant took the gift card with the bar code and never came clean with the actual cost until the massage was over.(The massage was good however) So, although my wife has a membership at the Vernon Massage Envy, what difference does that make? They pushed the double talk about signing up so that the massage would be only $ 49.00, but again, why did I have to fork over $ 60.00? So, you mean my massage cost over $ 110.00? Seemed like a sneaky way to do business. I will not be going back.

4 stars for Kleber — pretty good good deep tissue massage The other therapist I had? A+ for effort. B– for massage technique –too fast, too strong in the wrong places. —- Overall, it’s a pretty good deal and a good place to go in a pinch. It’s a small little shop, but it’ll do if you’re just trying to get some knots out. $ 49 for 1-hr first-time clients.
