Barbagallo’s

After reading the Unilocal reviews I figured it was just what I needed after a long day. I was not disappointed. The service at the bar was great, the locals were friendly and the Cheese Steak was fantastic. It is definitely a local crowd and that made it more genuine. The owners son Matt takes pride in the family business and that speaks volumes. Don’t go in with visions of grandure, just have fun and soak it all in. It’s Americana at its finest.

This bar is the classic definition of a ‘local’s bar’. Frankly, it’s not something I’ve encountered since back when I used to live in Northern Wisconsin. If you’re here reading Unilocal reviews looking for a place to visit, you will likely be ragged on by the locals that are unwinding after their daily grind. If you’re into that (and all of the humor that comes from people who know each other well insulting each other), then you’ll love this place. If you’re a high-​brow intellectual looking for a tasty beverage among your colleagues and stimulating conversation, you’re probably out of luck here. Bring your sense of humor (think South Park-​style humor) and you’ll be fine.
That said, the food is typical for what you will find in your average pub (burgers, fries, etc). The service was quick and friendly. Certainly knocks the socks off of a meal at one of the local chain restaurants.

We have ordered catering from Barbagallo’s twice now and have been very happy each time. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food was delivered on-​time and hot, and it was all quite good. If you are not sure what to try either there or to go, try the chicken riggies.

There is Barbagallo’s Deli, which is connected to the gas station… and then Barbagallo’s Tavern which is in the building in the next lot. I went to the tavern because the deli was closed at 3:00 on Wednesday when I went. It was fairly empty aside from a few people at the bar… but it was an odd time. The bartender was very friendly. He brought me popcorn while I waited for my meal. It’s typical bar food — burgers, basic salads, sandwiches. Nothing was calling my name… but I went with the chicken tenders — $ 7.95. On tap they had Sam Adams Octoberfest, yuengling, and Bud.
Overall — nothing special. Just a dive bar with food.

Delicious, family owned friendly staff. Doesn’t look appealing from the outside since it is attached to a gas station but that where you find the best food! YUM!

This is the type of place that makes one appreciate the powers of Unilocal.It isn’t much to look at from the outside. As the other reviewer says, the food is good and the prices are as well. They make their own marinara sauce and I was so glad to have worked it into my lunch via their excellent chicken parm sandwich.
It was a nice lunch and if you are in the area or staying at one of the Carrier Circle hotels (like we were) do yourself a favor and have some great food for a nice price.

Good food, nice prices, friendly staff. Group friendly.
