I went to Good Mornings with a friend for the first time this week and am happy to report that I will absolutely be back! Beautiful little restaurant in a great area. Warm and inviting atmosphere — you will feel right at home. So many regulars were there when I went — Friday around lunchtime. The waitress knew most of them and their orders. So sweet! Great food. No complaints.

After reading all of the Unilocal glowing reviews I was excited to try this place. A little hard to see from the street. Once you see it you realize it’s totally adorable. Country cozy feel, screen door, wooden tables, wooden hutch coffee station. Charming. Staff was so friendly. They seem to have quite a loyal clientele. I enjoyed all the banter. I cannot say I enjoyed the coffee. It was a bit weaker than I like it. My eggs were cooked perfectly. Bacon perfectly crispy and non greasy. Home fries were slightly over boiled making them slightly mushy. I couldn’t form an opinion about the pancakes. They looked beautiful. But taste wise… lacked pizzazz. They didn’t taste buttermilk. Had no real definitive flavor. I really wanted to fall in love with this place. It has so many things in its favor. Im so on the fence. In the end breakfast out is about the food… it just wasn’t memorable. Giving it 3 stars. Fyi…cash only.

Poor food. Ordered Oatmeal and Toast. Oatmeal was out of a insta pack and the wheat toast tasted like a cheep grade of bread from a super market. Also, they only accept cash;(

My husband and I went here this morning for the first time. Clean place, friendly service and great food! We both loved the blueberry pancakes and we were excited to discover that they offer real maple syrup… you just have to ask for it and it’s $ 1-$ 2 extra. We’ll be returning soon! On a side note, we were here at the same time as the last reviewer, Todd. Not sure why he’d give one star as I’ve never been to a breakfast place with fresh-baked bread. It’s pretty standard for them to use pre-made sliced bread. Also, it’s clearly marked on the front door that they accept cash only and this is pretty commonplace for small local breakfast spots. To each his own though!

My absolute favorite breakfast spot. If you are looking for fancy, spacious dining, don’t go. However, if you’re looking for cozy, personal dining with great food, a must stop. I go weekly to Good Mornings for their eggs Benedict, and it never disappoints.

This is a great breakfast place tucked away in a small shopping plaza. My hash and cheese omelet was very good, as well as the home fries. Portions are generous, too. Atmosphere was pretty good, but service initially was a little slow for a breakfast place. Food came out pretty quick, after the slow greeting. Coffee was good, and waitress stopped by once to refill. I’d recommend it to friends traveling through the area.

This is a favorite breakfast place of mine. I love the small home feeling vibe and the food is awesome. I am a huge fan of their yogurt plate!

A hidden gemstone in a corner of a small shopping area. They open at 6a so it’s good for early risers. They serve breakfast all day and have a very good selection. Everything is made from scratch and the home fries are old school and good. The omelets are generous offering choice of cheese(1), two(2) meats, And two(2) veggies. The service is very friendly and the food comes out quick and Hot. It’s a local place so expect to see everyone knows everyone else and this is how it is in a local favorite. If your ever in town and wanting a good home cooked meal, this is the place for you. But get in early as it’s not a big place and it fills up fast with all the locals. Fast, friendly, great service and solid food offerings you cant beat and even the big chains can’t match this place.

For whatever reason, good diners/brunch establishments seem so hard to come by in North Central Connecticut. When I moved here from Fairfield County a few years ago, I struggled to find a good breakfast place that was close by. After a little Unilocaling, I found Good Mornings to be quaint, simple, friendly, and very enjoyable. Good Mornings is a great little restaurant that you could easily pass by 100 times without even noticing. Set back from the antique shop and Maine Fish on Bridge Street, it’s a little tricky to find the place from the street. But once you find it, you know you’ve found a keeper. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is quiet and friendly. When you walk in the dining room, you feel like you’re in your mother’s kitchen-not some greasy diner car. Be sure to bring cash with you. Credit cards are not accepted, though the CVS across the river has a fee-free ATM.

This is a great little breakfast joint with good portions, reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere. We got Hash & Eggs, a Breakfast Sandwich, side of fruit and 2 Coffees for $ 17. Everything was hot, quick and very good! Will definitely be back.

Easily one of the worst/least satisfying breakfast places I’ve been too. The place seems promising with its décor and friendly staff but the food not quite right. My omelet was cooked in what seemed like a bathtub of butter and the veggies inside tasted as if they were from a can. The coffee was warm at best and offered little to nothing for me. I’m hoping they were having an off day because my friend swears by them but I personally won’t be back.

Went on a Sunday morning with no wait should have been a clue not to stay! Food was mediocre nothing special coffee was room temperature! The fruit plate was 7 dollars and it was only grapes and melon with a dollop of yogurt! our total for 4 people was 58 dollars! And the food took an hour! I could have gone to the store, bought all the food and cooked it in less time with better results!

Good food and hospitality! Small place, I like the quietness and the home-like feel to the place. It’s comfortable, like a tea house. My husband inhaled his Reuben sandwich and I definitely enjoyed my turkey and provolone wrap. They have daily specials, great choices for breakfast and lunch! Carrot cake wasn’t as moist as I like, but it still tasted great! French fries are fair, they tasted a little of a freezer but that doesn’t matter too much to me. Options for tea are limited, Bigelow brand, but the French vanilla(never had that mix) was really tasty! No need for sweetener, just a little cream and voila! If I get the chance, I’ll come back here to sample their breakfast!

We went to Good Mornings with some friends a few weeks ago. I had a cheese and tomato omelet that was solid, although I would have liked more cheese in the center and less on top, but it was still delicious. Our friends also enjoyed their meals. My husband got a huge breakfast and said everything was good. It was a little cozy in there, but we still did not have a wait and we did not feel overly cramped at the table.

The best breakfast place in East Windsor(and I’ve tried them all). When you enter you are greeted like family. I just tell Pat«I’ll have my usual» and I get it in no time at all and it’s piping hot. There is always a fresh pot of coffee brewing. I love this place!

Good Mornings is tucked away inside a sleepy little mini mall. Its nicely decorated and it has a very friendly atmosphere. Waitress patty was very sociable… sat down at our table while she took our order… had a lot of personality. Place has maybe 10 tables. Food reviews are mixed… my wife had a special… cinnamon raisin french toast… and said it was dry and not very flavorful. she left 1⁄3 of it. my son had his usual 3 eggs over easy with bacon and said the portion of bacon was«skimpy». I had a sausage and cheese omelet… it was fine… no complaints… but ordinary. patty asked a question no one has ever asked before… did i want onions in my hash browns? does anyone ever eat the hash browns at breakfast or are they there for decorations? All in all… a decent spot for breakfast… but not a home run in a town full of excellent breakfast options.

In sum: Our meals were very good– certainly above average in terms of small breakfast joints– but the service was bare bones. Our waitress checked in once, about ¾ through our meals, just to drop the check. Never asked if we needed anything, which was a bummer. The restaurant is sunny and clean, though the year-round«autumn» theme was a little perplexing. And like I said, our breakfasts were above average. I had an asparagus and ham omelet that was featured on the specials board; the asparagus was neither mushy nor underdone, and there was lots of it. The prices are on par with similar restaurants.

This place is great! When my mom and I came to Connecticut to interview and tour at two boarding/prep schools, our hotel was overbooked because of a flood and consequential power outage(this was in November). So after spending the night in a random motel, we’re driving our rental car — with suitcases in the back — wearing formal attire and two hours to spare until we had to begin our three hour trek to Lakeville. So, here we are, randomly driving around a small town called East Windsor in a small state called Connecticut, and we found a small joint called Good Mornings. So we walk in, looking like total outcasts in a restaurant full of normally dressed regulars sipping coffee and eating omelets, and the waitress at the front tells us to ‘take a seat anywhere you’d like’. Now, ‘anywhere’ left us with a few table options, as this place is very homey feeling and quite busy! After sitting down, we ordered. We both got omelets(mine was ham, cheese, and tomato, yumm), potatoes, toast, and coffee for my mom and hot cocoa for me. The food came out within 15 minutes or so; the wait was undeniably worth it! I’m from Southern California and have been to small diners in San Diego and huge brunch eateries in Los Angeles, but this food was legit homestyle cooking. The service was nice, albeit a tad slow, and the environment was welcoming — we even sat next to the owner’s daughter and her son(cutest toddler in the world, btw). Overall, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to come back, but the experience of eating here with my mom was memorable. So, for now, farewell Good Mornings and(gorgeous) Connecticut in general! I will, hopefully, be back. Deuces –Katie(:
