After 26 years Pasco’s is closed. I was a big fan and it was a go to place on Saturday night for my BF and I. We loved the food and drink and especially the Bartenders, Bridget and Eddie. It’s a shame when local establishments keep failing and nothing but chains are left in place. We will miss this place!

Emma is magnificent. A real sweet and caring waitress. She was just wonderful. Very attentive and made me feel«at home».

If I were judging Pasco’s on food and ambience alone, I’d give them 5 stars. The wine list is solid and they’ve got some imaginative drinks on the menu as well. I’ve had several items here including the Pot Roast, which can be found on the«lighter menu.» The only thing«light» about this dish was the price. The problem at Pasco’s, for me, is only the service. Even seated at the bar, you can be ignored for 10 – 15 minutes by your server when you need something. We’ve noticed lots of staff paying more attention to socializing with each other than looking to please guests. If Pasco’s was closer to me, I’d be there once a week. The food and vibe of the place are that good. It’s warm, cozy and just a relaxing place to be. But the manager should really think about motivating the staff up their game!

I had dinner here with 3 friends a couple of weeks ago, and have been several times prior to that. The feel of the restaurant is very nice. It is an old house that was converted into a restaurant and the décor is great. Our waitress(can’t remember her name) was very friendly and attentive. The complimentary warm, fresh bread is incredible. For dinner, I had the chicken and sausage penne vodka special. The portion size was generous. However, the meal just wasn’t that great. The meat tasted like it had been cooked a long time ago and the whole top layer of the dish was cold. I’ve definitely had better meals here in the past.

Sorry to say Jonathan Pasco’s quality and service fails to live up to its fine dining prices. I found dinner last night was decent, but was underwhelming for the price. Service was forgetful and hard to find for long periods of time. We stopped in for dinner with a group of six, and although we made reservations, our table was not ready. After about a ten minute wait we were seated. Service started out good, but was spotty for long periods of time. Our server was responsible for about 20 people and it was clearly too much. It was a special Christmas Eve menu, so it wasn’t regular items on the menu, but still represented the restaurant. Everything was decent, but wasn’t memorable, and I think everyone else agreed. We had a hair found in a salad and was sent back and taken off the bill. One guest ordered a medium-well prime rib, which came out very rare, and was sent back and corrected. The worst thing ever was they ran out of popovers which generated utter disappointment. The ambiance and interior were very nice and decorated. The bartender and our server need lessons in pouring a proper beer, especially Guinness, which should not be in a plain pint glass. The complimentary bread, butter, and roasted garlic were a nice touch. The beer list is severely lacking compared to today’s standards. For a $ 300 meal, it was underwhelming with no one raving about anything.

This is a neat Restaurant. It is a former house, and the atmosphere is cool, and the staff very friendly. I had the clam chowder, which might be the best I ever had. The waiter said their chowder was awesome, and he was correct. The food was good as well. I had the grilled swordfish, and my customers had the petit fillet, which they seemed to enjoy. Beer selection is good. Good restaurant, but a little pricey.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Went there tonight with my family, 5⁄2414. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan. What I got was a wet piece of eggplant with what I think may have been spinach, with a blog of melted mozzarella cheese. It was Inedible. I sent it back. They asked if I wanted anything else, after this dish I lost my appetitive. I asked for a glass of wine instead. So I had some thing while my family ate. They gratuitously took my meal off the Bill, and charged me for the wine. No one other than the waitress came by. I have previously ordered this dish and it was very good. I asked if they had a new«chef» the waitress said yes. I guess McDonalds is down a «chef». If you want to risk your dinner out night try Jonathan Pascos; otherwise go elsewhere. Too bad it used to be good.

Ive had several meals at Pascos and until last night I thought it was an atmospheric, friendly place to have a nice meal. Never outstanding, but nice ha been my previous 4 experiences. Im not a very finicky eater and rarely send food back that isnt properly prepared. My wife order Sol Francaise and I had Chicken Francaise. Her Sol Francaise was prepared nicely with an appropriate amount of «francaise» iyou could see the sauce but not swimming in it. Mine was noticibly dry and after two bites I mentioned this to our waiter. In fairness to her she was very busy on the Sat before Christmas– so she didnt get back to our table until my wife was done with her meal. She asked if I would like it to go and she would have the cook put more sauce on it– I thought this was a nice idea and said that would be great. When she brought the to-go bag back i could literally feel and hear the remaining chicken and pasta sloshing in liquid. I took it that the cook didnt take kindly to my saying it was dry. I left it– but I certainly paid full price for the meal as no discount on my dish was offered. The bill for the two of us with tip came to 95 dollars with no drinks. What a shame– we were looking forward to a nice Christmasy place to eat– and instead i walked out of there annoyed.

I went here on several occasions, all were for dinner. The wine list is modest, and the meals I had were capable, but not ‘Boston-extravagant’ but that isn’t what I expected from a historic roadhouse. The core of the property is still turn of the century(19th) but the upgrades and updating have been tastefully accomplished. The biggest complaint I have is that in the middle of winter it can be drafty at the bar seating area. So if you are there in the colder months, choose a seat in the corner of one of the more intimate dining rooms. At the bar, the servers are cordial and knowledgeable about their pours. The meals are honest and a good value for what is charged. For me, add in the extra of the history(take a tour of the display cases of Jonathan’s correspondence and other artifacts) and you have a time warp into another time at the birth of our country. (Judiciously ask your server or the manager about the ghosts and you may get some stories – !)

I live near Pasco’s so I go there often. The food is decent and they have great happy hour specials. I’ve heard that their sunday brunch is excellent, but havent made it yet. I usually sit at the bar and the staff is great, especially Brian. I love the atmosphere as well. You’ll noticevthat the parking lot is always packed and for good reason.

I always drive by this place when I am in CT and I finally went here for the first time. I thought the menu options were great. I had the apple walnut salad and the baked stuffed shrimp, which I thought were good. The ambiance was good too, I really loved the interior. It seems like the place cannot decide if it wants to be high end or laid back. I think it should stay with the former. It could be an upscale fancy dining place. The venue has a lot of history behind it and I really like that. :-) I plan to come back soon. :-)

Never again. We had eaten here a few years ago and enjoyed it. First the good parts. Service was excellent, The ambiance was fine. We ordered stuffed mushrooms wih Aloutte cheese and they were outstanding. Now the bad. One of the specials on a Friday night was prime rib. Three of us ordered it and all were very disappointed. When I pay $ 29 for beef, I expect it to be at least USDA choice. This was USDA select or worse. It was cooked perfectly but very tough. Prime rib should melt in you mouth. When a restaurant charges top dollar for their food, they should not cut corners on the beef. Also on the downside, the vegetables were overcooked and the mashed potatoes had too much garlic(and I like garlic). The bill for four with one wine, one beer, two salads and one appetizer was $ 170 before tip.

I have gone to this location several times and always had an enjoyable experience. Last night I attended a friends promotion party and the service and food was incredible. The bar has a wide variety of drinks and all was made well except for a black and tan, that was not something I would recommend ordering here. Steaks were cooked as ordered(very nice), appetizers were on time. Our server was very attentive and never had us waiting on refills or drink orders. We had a party of 12 and one server took care of it all. Great job! I will be back.

I have been to Jonathan Pasco’s several times over the years. I especially like going there during x-mass. I appreciate the x-mass decoration and the historical ambiance there. I was there recently and my overall experience was very unsatisfactory. I do not foresee going back. The service was not good. Our waitress did not check on us as frequently as good waitresses do; in fact a few times, we had to go looking for her. She was not on the ball with checking on us and asking us if we wanted desert, which is a common inquiry at most restaurants. In addition, I only took bites of my chicken pot pie, the taste was that bad. Sorry, I am taking my business elsewhere.

Doing it the way they’ve been doing it… since they started doing it. I’ve been going to Pasco’s since I was a kid, and despite all the aesthetic changes, the place really hasn’t changed too much. I mean this in a good way — I come here for a familiar meal where I am reminded of holiday meals, dinners with extended family that flew in from Texas, and I will always remember this as the place we broke the news to my brother about the«Easter Bunny Situation», which led into the«Tooth Fairy Situation»…etc. Even with the renovations, Pasco’s is a old time house and it maintains it separate room, real wood burning fireplace, creaky ass everything charm. I like it. The food has changed over time but I can ALWAYS get a chicken parm plate the size of my face and we ALWAYS get roasted whole garlic cloves in oil that you have to pry out of their little garlic clove homes with a knife. If either of those things ever change, I fear Pasco’s will have then gone too far. Meals aren’t cheap, but the fact that they give you enough for dinner and tomorrow’s lunch more than makes up for it. Quality is consistent and service(in my experience) is always nice. Go here for face-sized food and do-it-yourself garlic on very warm rolls.

HMM two or three stars… I had to go with 2. I went here with my mother to celebrate her moving to Califiornia. We heard mixed reviews and checked ot the menu and it looked great. We opted to sit outside — which is a huge plus. it was windy, but we were the only ones out there. So it was great. Our waitress was nice, but disappeared at the end of the meal for a good 30 minutes. No one could find her — it was frustrating! The appetizer we split was the eggplant with ricotta and sauce. It was OK… sauce was not that great, and overall the eggplant was swimming in this sauce that ended up being so bland… Our main dish was the filet medallions with mushroom sauce, mashed potaotes and veggies. Mashed potatoes were OK. The steak had a LOT of fat on it, and it was a very flimsy piece of steak. Hte veggies tasted previous frozen and they were. I used to be in catering, and it was the sysco vegetable medley. Did not taste fresh. But overall it was ok. But for $ 28 a plate! Ridiculous!!! It was worth $ 14.95, The best part of the meal was the bread and the roasted garlic… I most likely will not be going back — its too expensive for not so fabulous food,

We went to Jonathan Pasco’s armed with a gift certificate. I’m a sucker for colonial charm, and Pasco’s has plenty. We were seated in a small room upstairs that held three other tables. The service was good throughout, and our food came out fairly quickly. I ordered seafood fra diablo– I think they meant«diavolo» but who can say– and it was nothing special. The seafood was just okay, and the sauce was somewhat bland. My fiancé had a prime rib special, and while the prime rib was good, and cooked properly, the au jus and vegetable sides were terrible– soggy, salty, and overcooked. Pasco’s is East Windsor’s «upscale» option, but it doesn’t seem to have earned that title. The menu is standard, and contains all of the options you’d expect from a restaurant that bills itself as fine American dining– albeit circa 1985. You won’t find anything creative or clever at Pasco’s. That would be fine if they were good at what they do, but unfortunately the food seemed average overall. Prices were a touch high for a restaurant that’s sort of mailing it in.

I didn’t think East Windsor(especially this part of it) had any great dining options. At Pasco’s you are not only within walking distance of a trailer park, but two buildings over boasts one of the diviest bars in the area. It’s not even a quarter mile from the fallen East Windsor Diner, an establishment which formerly served some of the most poisonous fare available. Turn’s out I was right… no consistently great food in East Windsor. The building has some history worth investigating before you go. Among other things, an alleged«purse» made from human skin may or may not come up in your search. The building was, quite obviously, an old house. There are many rooms and, in a few instances, tables fit wherever they could find the space. It works though. The fact that there are only a few tables in most rooms keeps the noise down. There’s a bar downstairs. They do more business slinging booze than food. Sometimes the food is decent, but sometimes the food is awful. No matter what it looks like a cafeteria worker plated the food. For the price I have to throw a huuuuge gripe. $ 24 for three stuffed shrimp, a little rice and what seemed like a frozen veggie mix. One time we went the shrimp was amazing so it was easy to overlook the cheap-o sides, but another time we went the shrimp was wet and gross. I couldn’t believe it was the same place. This is easily the most expensive restaurant in town, and no, the food is not worth it. The desserts are pretty boring. Probably your typical frozen grub, either way without much extra adornment. The clam chowder was good and the bread they serve you before the meal looks good, but I never really enjoy it. They serve the bread with roasted garlic, but despite what you’d think, the garlic isn’t all that good. Maybe they don’t salt it? Even with a little salt it’s bitter and bland.
