This place sucks!!! I ordered a pizza steak it was horrible, the sauce tasted funny and it was really mushy!!! This will be our first and last time eating here. The environment was very uncomfortable!!! We sat next to an older white couple and as soon as we sat down they got up!!! Lol!!! All you can do is laugh! I know that is no fault of the restaurant but the food was a true disappointment. Our fries weren’t even hot!!! They came out luke warm

The pizza was a huge disappointment. The dough was so soggy, the sauce tasted store bought and there were just 3 basil leaves on the margherita pizza. I also had the Diavola pizza which was soggy and lacked the amount of toppings that should be on specialty pizzas. More basil please!

Pizza was soggy and you could fold it and make an airplane out if the crust. That isn’t a brick oven like quality this is New York style floppy crap. I was so disappointed cause the other food seemed good but when I got burnt edges and the rest soggy I just tossed it in the trash. Ugh please don’t waste your time with this place and go else where

Olde World Bakery is delicious. The breads are outstanding and the cakes, yum! Try the pepperoni bread, a local favorite. The cannoli cake is to die for and the pastries are mouth-watering. My husband LOVES the almond boats! They serve brick oven pizza that is fantastic. I highly recommend Olde World!!!

The quality of the food is average; not bad but not great. However, the level of customer service is appalling. Terrible to say the least. I was spending a few days in the area and I wanted a quiet place to read. This café looked perfect. So I arrived at 10am and ordered a coffee and a doughnut; the place was at 20% capacity or so. At 12:15 I ordered lunch — a burger an a coke. More customers started to show up and perhaps half of the tables were occupied at around lunch time. At 2 pm I ordered coffee and a pastry. I was the only customer at that point and I had spent about $ 25 throughout the day. At 3pm a waitress comes by and asks me to leave. When I ask why she explains they need to clean that area of the café so by dinner time it is ready. Sounds reasonable I say, can I move to the other extreme of this empty café and sit there? «Sir, you’ve been here since 10», she replies. Yes, but I have spent money throughout the day and in fact i just finished my coffee. «Ok, you can stay». No thanks, Olde World Bakery, I hope I never set foot here again.

DONTORDERFORPICKUP. Theyll hurry through the order, halfass it, and leave it undercooked and gross for you to take home. Cooked with dirty water, the food smells like chlorine and the noodles and shrimp were undercooked. There wasnt even sauce like there was supposed to be, it was just butter. This place might be good if we’d dined in but pick up was TERRIBLE. If i could give this place less than a star, i would.

This bakery makes incredible napoleons, cakes, and pastries. I tried their food as well today and found my chicken parmigiana sandwich to be pretty good. What stood out to me was the high level of outstanding customer service I received. They were very hospitable, friendly, and polite, offering to add more bread to my bread basket and to give me more tomato sauce on the side so that I could dip my sandwich. I will be coming back soon.

Very good bread-delicious! inexpensive. Delicious and inexpensive brunch on Sundays – French Toast is good! Pastries need help! Some are very cheap tasting. Steak sandwiches and hoagies are good – rolls they are on are good – but the steaks and hoagies are very very thin.

I love this place, its a great little BYO with delicious pizza and entrees. Sunday morning brunch is a favorite time for me! Gio is a great host and I recommend this place to anyone!

Breakfast sandwich was awesome! Came here for breakfast, the feel of this place almost looks like a European eatery. Hospitality was prevalent throughout my experience.

I been driving through this bakery for the past few months and today I went in. Let me tell you once I parked the smell was beyond heaven. Fresh bread has got to be the best smell. To my surprise they have pasta dinners and Italian pastries imported. They have soups to go and pizza. The best capriccio yumm. Great place I highly recommend.

Four of us went here for brunch Sunday and we were disappointed. Let’s start with the food. First the menu says all breakfast entrees served with fresh fruit cup, but today they had no fresh fruit. Hard to imagine because the supermarkets have all kinds of fresh fruit. Next, all of us got toast with our breakfast and it was all hard and burnt around the edges. One of us ordered eggs Benedict and the eggs were overcooked and the muffin once again was hard. I ordered the two eggs special over easy but they were more medium. Now the service. One person ordered cappuccino but requested it without sugar or cinnamon but it came loaded with cinnamon anyway which he did his best to scrape off the top. I order coffee and the mug came only half full. Another person ordered hot tea and again the mug was only half full of hot water. Another person ordered orange juice but when he found out it was bottled he canceled it, but when he got the bill, it was still on it. This was our one and only time here, so I don’t know if our experience is representative, but on this day, this place definitely did not have its act together.

We’ve been here a few times now. Pastries were blah/tasteless, pizza was just«Ok» but the breakfast sandwiches are delicious! The rolls tasted good and I love good, deli-style american cheese(don’t judge:) Unfortunately, every time we come here the service is sloooooooow even when we said we were in a hurry, bc we legitimately WERE in a hurry, the service CRAWLS. I actually called ahead to order breakfast sandwiches thinking that was a way to beat it being slow, so I ordered over the phone and was told it’d be ready in 10 minutes. 40MINUTESAFTER I GOTTHERE I received my order. Obviously I would have walked out if they hadn’t charged my card right when I got there and then was told by one of the girls she«didn’t know how to give refunds» and of course everyone else was busy. I hate giving 1 or 2 stars but this was just bad. This would probably be ok if you were just coming for the sandwiches and didn’t care what the coffee tasted like and didn’t care that you’d be there for an hour and a half minimum. Oh and every time we’ve been here, which was at least 4 – 5 times, something in our order was completely wrong. I am leaving 3 stars after all that bc their fresh rye bread is incredibly delicious and you don’t have to wait for that.

The entrees are hit or miss, but the pizza(try the bosciola), lasagna, and canoli are fantastic, with super fresh ingredients and always-superb service. I wish they had wifi, and better coffee would make it a morning stop.

This is a bakery in the middle of nowhere. Shut up haters! Shun this gem and you get TastyCakes @ a Dollar General. Right? If your service sucks, tell someone. If your food is stale, tell someone. When it happens. Yes, the staff is surly. BUTTHEBREADISGOOD. Really good. But I am from VA, not central NJ … maybe we have different standards?

I am from Germany and was very excited to get some great italian pastry/pizza/espresso. I tried the elephant ears, and threw them away after the first bite… way too much cinnamon and not fresh at all! the next day I picked up a pizza: the edges were burnt black, and prosciutto and mushrooms were only found in the middle of the pizza… the rest was marinara sauce… the espresso sucked also… not italian or «old world» at all…

As many have said the staff ranges from Ok to terrible. I could go here every day and still never receive a friendly greeting. It is ok to smile. The food is generally Ok. Some things can be really good like pizza and the meatballs. But occasionally it is really messed up. Breakfast sandwiches are consistently good. Not much in the area so they can be consistently busy with so so product.

I used to go here weekly, as I’m about 5 mins away. I stopped going here almost completely for a few reasons. 1. The staff sucks. Every time I went in, there was new people there. I told my order to a lady 4 times once, and it was still wrong. 2. They’re a bit overpriced, which I’m ok with but the next reason is why it matters. 3. The food is hit or miss. It can be really good, or really really bad. I once got a pizza that was burnt(top and bottom) on nearly half the pizza. Not just a little burnt, but completely blackened. That was pretty much the last straw, because if they blatantly served a burnt pizza and didn’t care, I didn’t want to do business there anymore. Depending on the night, you might have good food and good service, or bad food and terrible service.

Great pastries and cookies but we love their quick breakfast sandwiches and coffee on the way to work. Beats wawa and any other to go sandwiches in the area 7 grain bread toasted with fried egg and cheddar cheese. I’m set for the morning.

«Eh» pretty much sums up my experiences here. The service is «eh», the dinner rolls were«eh» and the desserts were«eh.» The rolls were not bad, the cannoli, almond cookies and various other pastries I’ve had are not bad. But, they’re not stellar, either. I moved to the area from central Jersey two years ago. I’m used to really good Italian bakeries all over the place. I was hoping this could be where I grab my freshly made bread for pasta Sundays but was disappointed in the quality. Occasionally I’ll stop by for something, but everything is just OK. Nothing to write home about.
