Lowe’s Home Improvement

They have official lost my business. We have been shopping here for years as it is great competition for Home Depot but over the years the customer services has gotten terrible. Several months ago I was doing an yard improvement and purchased some bricks. The cashier gave me grief because she couldn’t locate the «code» on the two stones I brought up and wanted me to load all 30 of each onto the cart from the front bring it to her and then take back out to the front to load onto my car. I had to explain the book that has all the stones in it. I then asked for help loading the car to which she replied «if I can find someone.» Ok fair enough. I loaded all 60 by myself which is fine except two supervisors with clipboards and red aprons came out examined the garden display, called two more associates who rearranged the display who ALL watched me load the car never asking me if I needed help. Fair enough. Yesterday I went and bought propane refill. The cashier called for an associate and I knew there was going to be trouble when she replied «he is on break.» She said someone would be out shortly though. After what seemed like several minutes I started my timer. 10 minutes passed. At that point I went back in and asked for a manager explaining the long wait. Three associates were standing by empty cash registers. One says «oh you are timing!» Yes I’m timing because my time is important I don’t get paid to stand around. Seriously what kind of customer service. Just reply «I’m so sorry ma’am I will get you someone. The best part is one of the associates ran over and got the keys and helped me. So who exactly was I waiting for. I’m over it sorry I will pay more at Home Depot it’s not worth the frustration.

Last time I came here I returned a defective termite bottle that leaked out completely prior to me using it. It was still sealed and the lady accused me of using the product and returning it. The sealed tab was still connected so she was just racist… I ended up getting my money back and swore I wouldn’t come back. I’m sure if I had blonde hair and blue eyes it wouldnt have been an issue. Now we have today, I needed charcoal for my grill and was in the area. I got in line and there was an only 1 register open!!! No I’m not waiting 20 minutes in line to buy coal because your management is busy getting handjobs. So yeah I left my cart in line and wondered why I even came back.

This place has got to get it together. Four employees chatting on the side 6 people in line and one cash register open. I go here due to distance but simply can’t justify this place from Home Depot. Just a pain. Get more staff to work the register Here we go again. Just horrible service and getting worse. I have been waiting at the window area for someone for over 25 minutes and nothing. Pathetic. Why do I come back. Home Depot why can’t you move to this location ??? Closer to home

I hate ordering online or anything special order here. First, it’s taken a whole month for my special order flooring to arrive. Originally ordered ⁴⁄₂ which they told me then will take 2 weeks. I just got a call today that they have my order, but oh wait we only have 6 of the 10 you ordered. So, I’m here to pick up the 6 and now they can’t find them. I’ve been sitting here waiting for 30. Super annoyed since this is not the first time they call me to pick my order when it’s not available when I arrive. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Bought some wood dowels to fortify my fortress. They didn’t fit. 2 years later, went back to get them cut down to size. Emmannuel inititially told me their machines were too big to cut down my puny dowels. However, he then went above and beyond – he hunted down a saw and sawed the dowels to size. Emmannuel (sorry if I misspelled your name), thank you so much for your kindness!!! You earned 5 stars for Lowe’s.

I went into this store to purchase a lawnmower and a trimmer. I had a question about the type of fuel the lawnmower I was looking at used. I went up to a sales associate in that department and asked for help. He looked at his watch, turned bright red and said, «I’m 15 minutes over my shift.» I turned and walked away from him at the same time telling him to go home. He realized he was out of line and told me several times he would help me. I walked straight to customer service and asked for a manage. A woman behind the desk identified herself as the manager. I explained to her what happened and that my question would have only taken 30 seconds to answer. She never asked who it was and all she could do was tell me sorry. I will not be shopping there anymore. Home Depot is only half a mile farther for me to drive. I’ll be going there for now on.

Went in looking for a replacement for my lost garage door opener. All the staff I encountered on my way down the isles were super pleasant and offered their assistance. A young lady helped me. Walked my ticket to the checkout counter and paid for it. Walked over to the next counter and picked up the opener. Awesome service. I was in and out within 7 minutes. Thanks Lowes, you guys rock !

Horrible horrible customer service. Waited over 45 minutes for someone to come help us in the appliance department. I finally had to go get a manager who finally got us a sales associate.
As we were waiting, another customer came over and said «we’re here to pick up the hoses that didn’t come with our delivery of our dishwasher». The sales associate stopped helping us and started helping them! Seriously?!? After waiting 45 minutes???
So… After over an hour and a half we ordered our washer to be delivered… Let’s hope it comes in on time and it’s the right one. Needless to say, we took our hoses with us.

I would like to thank Tanya in appliances for all her help through a rough time I had with Home Depot and their customer service. I had other issues I was dealing with in my personal life and it seems they open up to you like family. Thank you Tanya for your customer service and support.

Great associates, horrible experience with a manager named Jacob.
Store is nice always clean and friendly staff. I asked to speak to a manager took 20 minutes to get any one out. After several calls from associate I get Jacob. Manager Jacob didn’t ask who was here first just decided to take care of another customer with out even being acknowledged. I believe there’s a first come first serve rule. I will no longer do any business at Lowes.

Came here for a grill that is on sale. After paying we were waiting for someone to come outside to help load it onto the car. A lady came out and had to call for someone to still come out and help. Finally, a tall guy Thomas comes out and starts pushing it towards the car. We tell him we need to take off a shelf of so it can fit, he responds with: «Oh I was told I had to come out help you load it not take it apart.» That sounded kinda lazy. We tell him it won’t fit unless we remove a shelf. He looks around it and says:“I’ll see what I can find.” Leaves and takes until 15 minutes another guy, Juan comes out with screwdrivers and helps us take a shelf off and load it onto the car. Juan was very polite, talked to us nicely and apologized for the wait. Perhaps they should not send a kid who is not acting like he wants to be there to assist with these kind of tasks.

6 weeks from start to finish on our new windows and French doors.
We are very satisfied with our recent purchase and installation of 8 windows and from a sliding patio door to French doors.
The Lowe’s Project Specialist Robert, was very quick to reply to emails or phone calls and answered every question we had. His professionalism was unmatched and we would recommend anyone looking to replace windows or door on their home!
The initial consultation didn’t take long at all, with measurement taken, recommendations for a budget, but yet quality windows, Robert was on it! With many years of experience doing exterior projects, he steered us in the right direction.
The install company was Window Fits (
) and their 3-​man crew was more than courteous but very professional and a quick install. Arrived at our home at 8am and was completely finished in 6 hours, including clean up and haul away of all the old windows and patio sliding door. Very impressed with their knowledge & skills to get the job done… Correctly!
With a current on-​going promotion, we receive a 15% discount on each of the windows and doors. Any discount is better than none!
Our experience with Lowe’s and Window Fits was great and wouldn’t hesitate to call and use them again in the future!

Terrible customer service. Found some Xmas storage containers online and they showed to have 34 in stock. We tried to help ourselves at first but couldnt find them. Asked an associate and he sent us on a wild goose chase. Went to customer service and she walked us around and found the same guy we had before to help find them. Amazing that after waiting 20 minutes they have no idea where they were. We said, how about when you find them you can drop them off to us. They said, thats a $ 75 fee. ??? To drop off 2 $ 10 conatiners that you fools cant find. No sorry, no we’ll call you. Just an oh well…
Now I know why I dont shop here. Do yourself a favor and close down.

I really like Lowws the best of all the home improvement stores. People are always friendly and know where items are. Loved tonight when I needed a step stool the flooring person said Aisle 17 on the left by the ladders. I grew up spending Saturday’s with my dad at home improvement stores and worked for Builders Emporium in my 20s so know when someone actually knows what they are talking about.
Lowes to me is the more homeowner home improvement store. The other big box chain seems more for contractors.

I love coming to this store is well organized and the staff here is always available to help out. I only spend about 15min max every time. Unlike home depot that can be overwhelming with lots of stuff All over the place. Lowe’s has stuff more organized.

In general I prefer Lowes over Home Depot plus it’s closer to my house. However over the past year or so the customer service at Lowes has reached an all time low. Workers look the other way rather than helping or point in in a general direction, meaning go bother someone else. They have been out of stock for stump killer for months. They have been out of portable a/​c units all summer. And there is inevitably only one register open with five people in line. It’s as if they have no sense of competition. So I’ve become a reluctant HD shopper.

I’ve been a water-​saver for about 20 years. Not because I’m civic-​minded, drought-​conscious, or a trendy environmentalist, it’s because I’m lazy. Bricks and rocks need neither attention nor water, and cacti and succulents need very little of either.
It was at the Otay Lakes Lowe’s that I embarked upon my water– and labor-​saving quest. At this store I found the appropriate rocks (grey river rocks, orange rocks, and black beach pebbles. No, not Black’s Beach, some beach in Mexico.) I also found the exact pavers I wanted.
And although I have used many sources for my cactus and succulent purchases, I have found the neatest ones right at this very store. I’m not sure why, but maybe I was just lucky. I’m a prudent buyer, and rarely, if ever, buy any plant in gallon size. Especially with cactus and succulents, because they love the semi-​arid San Diego climate and will grow exponentially larger in no time at all. Always buy the smallest available, that’s my advice. They grow, multiply, and then you can use cuttings to clone more. Assuming you like it, that is.
Check out this store for interesting species and varieties of cacti and succulents. They also carry an amazing assortment of rocks and pavers. Yep, I’m a fan. Maybe one of these days I’ll venture into the rest of the store. ..

They have a great array of lumber of different lengths, materials, and price points as well as a vast variety of plants and gardening products. When it comes to the lumber they have a very convenient cutting area in which their staff can cut the lumber to your desired size upon request. My annoyance with the service, however, is that even once notified that someone is needed in the lumber cutting area the staff in charge will usually take a very long time to come even when you just saw them walking nearby. We actually left the first time after waiting for at least 15 – 20 minutes and no one showing up to help and the cashier a few yards away just starring at us rather than helping despite her having had no customers.

Paul was amazing helping me to get the lights that I needed for an upcoming party and the weedwacker to clean the lawn before people start coming over. He was attentive to my needs and made me feel like I was in a Mom and Pop store and not a huge retailer chain. He is an older gentleman, but I think he is top notch as an employee. When he had to leave, he sent me with Caesar who also was a very helpful guy that directed me to the remaining needs I had.
LOWES-​give these guys a raise or some kind of award and recognition as they are SUPREME.

Went in today to actually cancel some patio furniture that I had ordered online. I really loved the patio furniture there so I decided to do an return– exchange and also purchased a gazebo that was 20% off and was just beautiful!!! Waiting for the customer service was okay a little wait. But they did help me out and was a nice guy. On the floor if you need help they do take like 5 minutes for them to come help you but once they did they were very helpful. On everything I needed. Once I purchased it there was a guy that got all the patio furniture and gazebo and said I could wait while they brought it out for me. He put it all in the cart and took it out to my truck!!! Really helpful lowes thanks!!!
