Steven the sales associate was very helpful. He helped me find everything I needed and also took time to explain what I needed to do with my project and how to do it. He walked me through the process and told me what to look for. Customer service like this is hard to come by and it’s something that I have noticed shopping here so many years. All the employees have great customer service and go above and beyond to meet our expectations. Thank you

This place sucks. It doesn’t ever have anything I want. I wanted a fireplace gate they said it was seasonal. I went to lowes they had over 8 different kinds and had plenty in stock. I wanted a wide coal shovel or yard waste shovel. They of course didn’t have one so I went to lowes where they had 20. Today I went for a heavy duty shelf and all they had was cheap Chinese crap that flexed. I went to lowes. They have what I need. Not trying to force Chinese crap down my throat to make a buck. Eat my shorts Home Depot you suck and your manager lady is mean and the solar people harass us. Thanks for nothing. Now you get this. Enjoy it

Frequent buyer at this location. But this visit was different. I took my 3 year old n went straight to the bath dept as I needed a new toilet. Not one rep came in n ask if I needed assistance. I had to look for those orange vests n hunt then down. When I found one I ask to help me carry the toilet in the cart. He said he can’t because he «doesnt do that.» So I had to freaking lift the damn toilet to the cart myself. When I paid, I was todd to park my car by the exit si they can assist me loading it. Well that didn’t go well either. A gift samaritan help me! Goodness! I hate this place more n more.

After my frustration at the HD Eastlake branch, went to this store. Luckily, there’s only one portable AC left. I ask a sales staff who was in the middle of something about the price. Surprised that she quickly responded and scanned the item. So I decided to buy the item. Went to the self help cashier station, ask Alexa who was attending the post at that time if she can scan the price so I can pay which she did. She even asked me if I need help to carry the box to my car!!! Wow! What a surprise! Totally different treatment I got from the Eastlake branch! I like HD as a store but if you have people who has zero customer service skills then you lose your loyal customers… thanks Alexa for your help! You are an asset to HD!

Many thanks to employee Elizabeth and Kathleen with help getting a gas grill to fit in my small car. These two ladies took apart a portion of the grill to make sure it fit in my car, without me even having to ask them to do it. Now I can celebrate 4^th of July! Now that is great customer services!!!

Today, I had a very good experience in the paint department. Immediate greeting, and fast paint preparation. In and out, about 10 minutes. And there were other customers being helped, as well. Fast, efficient, accurate service.
Compare this to my experience last week, when I had to wander around the front of the store to find somebody who knew if there was anybody working in the paint department, since it was unstaffed. Finally, somebody appeared and took my order. I came back 15 minutes later, and saw my paint order still in the tint dispenser. I informed the guy that I wanted my paint put in the shaker. Well, sure, he was glad to do that. Why did I have to direct him?
The paint department: Hit or Miss.
Home Depot is pretty much like Lowes, Sears, Walmart, Costco, and any other big box store. The customer has to nab a paid-​by-​the-​hour clerk who would much rather just walk on by. So, that’s what it’s come to. In that sense, Home Depot is A-​OK.

GO TO LOWES! Tried to exchange a power drill that was a Xmas present for my husband as the batteries didn’t hold a charge. Since there was no receipt they refused to even help! The main STORE MANAGER, Melissa, gave us a story «if you don’t have a receipt, we use the bar code to determine when the item was placed on the shelf», seriously??? We all know that you can have an item on the shelf for years. The item was a Ryobi power drill which is an EXCLUSIVE HOME DEPOT PRODUCT! They do not stand behind their product warranty. Here’s the kicker… we went to Home Depot at EASTLAKE and they gladly exchanged the drill for us. EASTLAKE even told us that what the STORE MANAGER at Home Depot (Plaza Court) told us was ridiculous! We should have known better as we purchased a refrigerator from Plaza Home Depot and had to have it returned 2x as it did not keep food cold. Home Depot did not reimburse us for the spoiled food. We finally bought an LG fridge at $ 3K. I swore not to buy any other appliance at Plaza Home Depot. We recently purchase a washer at LOWES, no hassle, fast delivery, great price, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. NOTE… LOWES will match any Home Depot price… Well worth it, customer service is GREAT at LOWES. If you must go to Home Depot… go to EASTLAKE.

5 stars for Home Depot in Chula Vista!!! We walked in to look for refrigerators for my parents here and turned around and someone was ready and willing to help us! I had just had a TERRIBLE experience at Sears at the Chula Vista Center so I was very happy with the service here! A lady (whose name I was not able to get because she started helping us even though she was on her way to clock out and helped us in spite of her shift being over) immediately greeted us in appliances and started searching for a fridge we saw on the internet. They didn’t have it in the store but then she passed us over to a man named John who was awesome!!! He located the fridge online and had us in and out of that store in less than 20 minutes, with our paperwork in hand!!! THANK YOU JOHN, YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

we went in to buy a rug. We saw many employees talking jn groups. we flagged down an older harried worker telling him we need help. He told us yes yes there is another person in front of you. OK. 30 min later we walk out. walking past the person who was in front of us but still waiting for help. passing 3 employees sweeping and cleaning but unable to help us or get help and another employee taking selfies in the paint area. We went to Lowes. higher price but worth the attention they give us

The people at this store are rude!!! The store is a pain to navigate, and the guy soliciting kitchen improvement was bored line harassing me in the store. Then when my friend and I respectfully declined he was extremely rude. I didn’t have a tag on my item and instead of calling for assistant the Jack ass had me go get it myself instead of calling an associate. This place is terrible, I will be going to lowes in eastlake from now on.

I came in to buy plants for a terrarium. I asked one of the store workers in the garden section if she could show me which plants would be best for a terrarium…
1. She didn’t know what a terrarium was.
2. I explained. And she directed me toward the indoor plants.
3. She told me if I had further questions, I could just Google it.
Gee, thanks. I know it’s 2015, but nothing replaces the help of an actual human. It would’ve been nice to get some real help.

I came in this Depot because I needed some PVC fittings and ½ inch PVC valve to fix a leaky pressure pipe in the yard. When I first arrived, the first thing I noticed was the small pumpkin patch Home Depots around town put together. It was nice, but I did not tarry, but just enough to take a snap shot (

After roaming around for about 10 minutes, I finally got the bright idea to ask for help, and then I was lead directly to the aisle I needed (
). Once there, I readily found then pieces I needed and the valve (
). I was happy I was to get all the parts I needed in one place. Lesson learned, and remember to ask for directions if you find yourself roaming helplessly.
When I arrived at the register, everything went very well and the lady engaged in small talk. Oh yes, I also used the restroom while I was there and it was clean.

Do not buy garage doors from them, they will charge you a basic installation for the doors, and after you paid they will charge a LOT extra, because always find something extra to be done for the installation!

Wow-​just had REALLY poor customer service by ANDREA. We bought a tree about 6 – 9 months ago, didn’t have a receipt. I didn’t expect cash back, but since all tags were on it still, clearly saying Home Depot, did not expect a problem. After waiting 20 minutes, garden must have been busy– and telling her we didn’t have the receipt, she said they would not take it back. She knew the whole time we didn’t have the receipt, wasted 20+ min of our time-wasn’t too nice-​and wouldn’t return.
Shop at Lowes instead-​way more friendly and will accommodate if it is a lowes product.

In general I am very happy with this store and the employees are very helpful. I have had a few visits where they seem to be understaffed and the few employees that I did see were trying to help 3 or 4 people at once.

First time at this Home Depot and only because my local HD did not have the item I was looking for. My local HD called this HD to make sure they had a mister for my outdoor patio. On arrival it was not where the representative stated it would be. We inquired where the item might be and no one seemed to know what we were talking about. While speaking to the person assisting us another employee walked by and heard our conversation. He reached over less then a foot or two from where we were standing and grabbed the box of misters. Thank you Mr man who actually knows what products you have in your store. I am so ready for this summer and my new misters spraying light delicate water over me and my doggies.

This Home Depot has the best staff ! They come to you and offer to help you without you needing to ask !! This location is very well stocked and they have a huge garden section !! Good thing is that everyone there knows every item in the store !! And are able to advice you on what to do with it !

This Home Depot is a great place to shop.
All I needed was to get some wood cut and everybody working there was so friendly and kind enough to direct me to where I needed to go.
They didn’t even charge me for cutting my wood from another location!

It took about 15 minutes to get service… and when someone came over to us, we figured out what we needed. The guy that helped us in the vent aisle was very arrogant, and wasn’t really helpful. Since we had two different measurements for what we needed, we decided on to different vent covers. He insisted that we stick with one but we told him that we’ll size it up and return the one that doesn’t fit.
I’ve had better service at the Home Depot in Lemon Grove. The only reason we went to this location is because they had the tiles we needed.
