This was our first time at this place. We waited an HOUR to pick up our take out food yesterday! The least the waiters could’ve done was apologize for the delay, bt no we waited about 45 mins n my husband finally went up to the counter to find out how long is it going to take… one of the waiters said it’ll be ready in 5 mins bt no! We waited another 15 mins by the time we actually picked up the food. Makes u wonder if they only have one cook in the kitchen. There were several others who waited a really long time to pick up their food also. The food however was tasty, although for the price you pay, the portions aren’t big enuff. The fried dumplings(more like mini rolls) were a ripoff as they were not worth $ 1 each. Make sure to call way ahead if u want something to take out, or be ready to wait at the restaurant for an hr

Terrible slow service. I called in my take-out order at 6:20 pm and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. My husband arrived to pick it up, and after 30 minutes of standing there with several others who were waiting for their take-out orders to come up, he asked how much longer it would be. Turns out, the woman who took my order over the phone had never sent the order to the kitchen. As for the food, the chicken pad Thai was pretty unremarkable(the chicken was flavorless and tough), as were the fresh spring rolls. The Panang shrimp curry was pretty good, though we really should not have had to wait that long for it. I probably won’t go back.

Great addition to the area. I’ve only done takeout, but each time the food was excellent. The quality of food is what separates this place from the next. They have a fairly limited menu, but I appreciate that as it usually means they’ve mastered each dish. Unfortunately it’s never crowded when I go in there, so I hope this place survives.

This restaurant is a gem. Went with a party of 4 and we were all very pleasantly surprised to find the interior modern with a twist of sophistication. There is a mix of stone and warm woods and trendy light fixtures. The one page menu had a nice selection of rice and noodles, curries and other meat and seafood dishes. I ordered the pad thai without meat. The food was served on beautiful, unique, thick square glass plates. The presentation was outstanding. The portion was generous and about right for most of us to finish. The noodles were quite good and served with crushed peanuts on the side. For appetizers we ordered both fried egg rolls and fresh spring rolls. The ingredients were very fresh and the peanut sauce was delicious. For dessert we had an order of fried banana and ginger crème brûlée. Both highly recommended. I couldn’t taste a distinct ginger flavor in the brûlée but it was so good we finished it in no time. This place has a great chef and friendly service. A nice touch of class. The location off Mitchell Road and highway 5 is easy to get to. It’s in the same section as the bank, formerly known as Beacon Bank. A great place to visit for a romantic dinner or with a group of friends. There is a nice deck in the back that we look forward to dining on when the weather is nice. This will be my new go-to place when I have out of town guests.

Loved it again! If this restaurant was downtown it would be $ 40/plate.

A welcome addition to Eden Prairie. Two of us had dinner here, our first visit and we would definitely return. We shared the Thai beef jerky appetizer which included sticky rice. Serving size does not appear to be huge but was perfect with the papaya salad for two people as a starter. The beef jerky was served warm, had great flavor, and came with a homemade spicy sauce. Which was very flavorful with a punch of heat. The sticky rice was just ok. For dinner we had the Pad Kee Mow(with chicken in place of beef). It was extremely flavorful, the chicken so tender, perfectly cooked and just the right amount of sweet basil leaves. Our favorite dish. We also tried the Massuman Curry. Slightly sweet, very tender beef, perfectly cooked potatoes, served white rice. Spice choices were mild medium hot or Thai hot, we order Thai hot and found it «hot» but not overwhelming.(we like spicy hot food). Serving sizes were good, we brought leftovers home.

We just left and I am over-the-moon happy! We moved here from the SF Bay Area and have been disappointed with the Asian cuisine, especially Thai in the Metro. Wow. The food was elegant, delicious, well presented and NOT drenched in unnecessary fat. We had the spring rolls, which were beautifully presented, fresh with mint and the peanut sauce was perfect. For entrees we shared the massaman beef, curry fried rice and and pad see yew. The massaman was made with tender beef brisket and the sauce was so delicious. The curry rice was yummy and not greasy, again fresh veggies. The pad see yew was really good. Loved the seasoning and fresh veggies. My only complaint would be spicy is not very spicy. That is easy to remedy. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

They are trying. The pad Thai had way too much fish sauce, that is the only flavor you could taste. The other 2 dishes had good flavor but were overly greasy.

My company ordered Lotus Leaf for carry-out during the week. As others here have mentioned, up until now, there had not been a decent Thai food option in Eden Prairie. Lotus Leaf has changed that. The food we all had was excellent. The only downside I can see is the prices are a tad on the high side, at least for my liking. All of the dishes were clearly freshly-prepared, with quality ingredients. The Egg Rolls were outstanding and actually a pretty good value. They were hearty and had plenty of meat. Two of us ordered the Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Beef. This dish was big enough to share, assuming you also ordered an appetizer. Great flavor in the dish. I would have liked to see a bit more to the fried rice — it felt slightly too one-dimensional, like there wasn’t enough diversity being added to the dish’s flavor profile. But all in all, a satisfying dish.

Pretty awful. Went at noon on a Tuesday. Place pretty empty, a couple of people waiting for take out. They have a lunch buffet which was EMPTY. Granted, there were a couple of tables who’d had the buffet, but no excuse to have all the serving dishes empty. The waitress stood by looking very uncomfortable and assured us they were working at replenishing it in the kitchen. We ordered off the menu instead. I had the panang curry which was a tiny portion for 13.95, consisting of 8 small cubes of tofu and 4 cubes of pineapple in an overly spice sauce(we think the kitchen got it wrong– we ordered the chicken pad thai medium and it was bland). The pad thai had been tossed with a very liberal dose of fish sauce, which was the predominant flavor. Very overpriced for what you get and as mentioned, if you have a buffet, never, no no never, let it run out. We passed the buffet on the way out, it had been restocked and everything was beige… no colorful veggies, looked über unappetizing. Had high hopes for this local Thai joint but its a total rip off. Ugg. No ambience whatsover, skip this entire strip mall, nothing worth eating there.

Great food, but the portions are very small. The prices are on par with other Thai restaurants with each dish at $ 13-$ 15 each, but to feed a family of four, you would actually need to purchase four dishes which would make Lotus Leaf much more expensive than the others. Better than Sawatdee in Ep? Yes. Comparable to Amazing Thai and Chang Mai Thai in Uptown. Again, I do have to say that the food is great.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is a little sterile, could use a little help. Overall, quite good and very clean.

Came here to try new Thai restaurant in the area hoping for some good ambiance to go with it. Was not impressed. Walked into entrance noticing hostess throwing her rag to cleaning bin behind front desk… Which also served as the make shift bar. Not a single TV which is fine if not during football season in MN and if there is other ambiance to add… There wasn’t. We ordered a glass of house wine and were served similar to a tasting portion of wine. We are pretty easy going diners and asked for a lemon to go with our carafe of water, we made do with limes. Seems strange to not have lemons on hand to cook with let alone for cleaning or for some water. We had a good tasting wonton but left for better vibe and better priced food. Our waitress/hostess was friendly but I felt bad for the lack of energy, life, and overall sad karma of the place. Hopefully will improve with some time, could make a great home in EP!

I was in the neighborhood while my daughter attended an event. I wanted to find a quiet spot to work while I had dinner. I had been to the little coffee shop on the corner, but that place is actually more of a restaurant and I didn’t know if it would be too noisy. So I looked across the street and there was this new little place. I love THAI, so I thought, well, I’ll give it a try. When I walked in, there was ONE table seated. I was surprised because the inside was cute and new. The menu was simple but had a few classic Thai meals. I wanted the Massaman Curry, but it was made with beef. I prefer chicken, and the server happily told me I could substitute. So I went for it. My meal arrived very quickly. The portion was pretty light, but I actually greatly appreciate that. I don’t like leftovers and I don’t like feeling super stuffed after a meal. For the size of the plate, I felt like the price was slightly high, but I’m willing to pay. The food was delicious. The sauce was creamy. The chicken was tender. The rice was sticky. The only complaint I had about the meal was that it was pretty salty and I asked for medium spice and it wasn’t spicy to me at all. If you want a delicious Thai meal in a low-key casual restaurant, I would definitely go here. I hope this place gets busier, because I think the deserve the business.

Had the Pad See Yew and Pad Thai last week. It was OK. Very light but the flavor was very heavy on the fish sauce. The spring rolls, cream cheese rolls and Thai beef jerky was very good. Took a long time for take but assume it will get better. We will try it again.

We got take out since it was a week day. And we are SO pleased to have great Thai food in the neighborhood that is not Sawatdee(which is so meh). The only reason I docked a star is because they forgot to put cashews in our Cashew Tofu. But otherwise, the flavors were amazing and the Pad See Ew was spot on!
