The food is good so as the service. Honestly, I don’t know why so many people complain about their service. I really like their Beijing duck, really delicious. Would definitely come back and Recommend to friends.

First time for me. The peking duck was good. Too much fat on the skin for my taste, but it was probably quite authentic. The vegetable dishes were quite fresh(baby bok choy with bean curd skin in a light white sauce was primo), and their twice cooked pork was really flavorful. Quick and pleasant service, and very good prices. We had a party of 7 hungry people so experienced good service, until the other reports. I would go so far as to say it’s one of my new favorites of any kind of food in the area.

We are just craving for soup dumplings. Ok. Soup dumplings with no soup inside. Ok it still taste not bad. But the waiter and the waitress were just showing dirty looks and told us that we’d better order more than 10 dollars. EXCUSEME? Why I can’t just order one 8 dollar dish at 3 o’clock? These ppl were just ruining the whole experience and I am not coming back. BTW, we had same bad experience last time at this place. They show you the whole duck but gave you definitely less than that. Not to mention the duck was overcooked with bad oil which made me sick. If you don’t have to don’t try.

Decent family owned restaurant. If you are patient enough to wait for a bit, they serve the freshest oven grilled BJ duck in the area.

WORSTPLACEEVER!!! This place is horrible! They charged three dollars for six pieces scallions! They show us the whole duck. They don’t even give us half of the duck! They even charge two dollars for a bowl of rice!!! They are really mean too! I got a stomach ache the whole evening! I had so much trouble dealing with it. The food is not anything better than Pettie soo chow. So, be smart and don’t go there. NEVEREVER!!!

Food is alright, but like many other reviews have mentioned — the service is TERRIBLE. The waiter hardly even looked at us when taking order or serving food, and responded to everything in an impatient, patronizing manner. He got one of the orders wrong, and when we asked about that he unapologetically insisted that was what we ordered.(Note: both me and my wife are Chinese and it didn’t help at all) It’s one thing to have less-than-ideal service, but the attitude was so bad it literally ruined my dining experience. On our way out, the same waiter got into a quarrel with another customer because he bumped into the customer’s son and refused to apologize. What’s worse, the owner defended the waiter instead of apologizing to the customer! I can only assume the restaurant owner has no respect for the customers at all… I’d give zero stars if I can. STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE.

This place is terrible. I came with my family(only 5 ppl total), and they automatically applied 18% tips on top of the taxed amount. Very shitty food. We ordered their recommended«authentic Szechuan» food. The taste was bland like a mixture of soy sauce and sugar. We also got eggplant dish, too much oil, bland as well. The«famous» Peking duck is nothing authentic. What bothered me the most was the server’s argumentative attitude. He never cared about our experience, and whenever we questioned the taste, he was make up a million excuses. He didn’t even serve us tea. If there is a zero star, I would. Stay away!!!

Terrible service. Waiters with attitudes. Food is regular stuff. We’ve been there couple of times before. I think the amount of food is getting smaller. The taste is OK nothing extraordinary, but will not compensate for the bad service. Everyone had a bad attitude. Maybe they’re nice with their regular customers and don’t want anyone new. Anyway, I will never go back.

Great place for Peking duck. 1) If you come here, get the Peking duck. 2) Only thing on the menu worth coming for is the Peking duck: 10⁄10! 3) Service sucks.

Food is good but the service is terrible! Wait staff has no hospitality values. We were in during lunch time and our waitress maybe said 2 words or entire meal. The man standing around«helping» was very rude to my son who wants to see the cat statue. I almost wanted to walk out at that point! I guess unless you speak Chinese… Expect to get 0 service here. Take out maybe you’re best bet.

Came all the way here to try some pork dumpling soup. Was disappointed that it was small and bland. We also ordered bok Choy, salt and pepper pork and salt and pepper squid. The food is so-so, nothing worth coming back to. Perhaps if we ordered from the Chinese menu, it would have tasted better. Plus, it did not come cheap.

Soup dumplings are absolutely amazing!!! Moo shoo vegetable and general Tso chicken is also very tasty — not extremely greasy — delivery time is awesome! They are fast and diligent — my order is always delivered to me correctly and I’m never missing any sauces — two thumbs up!

Authentic Peking duck. Like it very much, so amazing. The service is good. The holder comes from Shanghai but chef is from Beijing ! You have to try it

Go for Peking duck, Peking duck, Peking duck! Important things I would say it three times. Before this place, I would for sure rank Peking duck house in Manhattan to be the best duck dish I’ve ever had, now Duck King became the real duck King in this area. Double cooked pork was also good. However pork soup dumplings were mediocre at best and the bread crust was a bit too dry and hard to chew… The other negative point was the small size of each dish… nevertheless flavor beat everything.

I was here about a year ago. We went there during brunch hours. I cannot remember what we ordered but the food was delicious.

This restaurant is surprisingly authentic and clean! Come here on weekends to taste excellent food only available then.

The dumplings are very authentically Chinese and juicy. If you order from the Chinese menu on weekends, they are pretty authentic. Dishes from the English menu are not very specially, quite expensive and imo not much difference from dishes you can get from take out restaurants. It could be very noisy there sometimes with people playing Majong behind a screen door.

We stopped in on a Tuesday to have some Peking duck and soup dumplings… ugh, such mixed emo… 7:15pm, we ordered soup dumplings and Peking duck. Soup dumplings came out with no problem then a server brings over the brown sauce & veggie for the duck. It’s 8:02pm and we are still sitting here with an empty plate and still untouched veggies and sauce. This is not because we don’t like veggies!!! Our duck is still yet to show its existence! Warning to all those who order the duck here… if you are looking to do a quick in and out… DONT! You must give yourself at least 40 mins for the dish! I just wish someone would have told us about this when we ordered the duck. 8:10pm, duck is here!!! It was just a little greasy but tasty enough that I am uping 1 star to 3. But taking into consideration their service and unwanted time spent, I’d say 3 stars are pretty generous.

I came here with my friend from Shanghai who highly recommended this place. She said it was one of the rare authentic Chinese restaurant that served authentic peking duck in Jersey. She also informed me that they have a Chinese menu and an american menu and that they have different items. Since she spoke fluent Chinese she ordered for us the soup dumplings with both crab meat and pork and it was exceptional to say the least. It was not only juicy but the flavors of the pork and crab were definitely animated yet simple and clean. The duck soup was also amazing and the flavors were definitely present yet mild and complimented the roasted peking duck as well. The noodles and scallion pancakes were also really good and added a nice touch as a side dish to our main meals. I would definitely go here again and would not mind becoming a regular here.

This is my favorite Chinese place in the area hands down. To be honest I haven’t had the classics like chicken and broccoli because this place has a lot more to offer than Lo Mein. I go for things like the clams with black bean sauce and the soup dumplings. Okay seriously there is NO need to go to. China Town to get the plump juicy buns that everyone loves(8 come in an order with a choice of pork or crab-I love both). The clams in black bean sauce is one of my favorite seafood dishes ever. The black bean sauce is so flavorful full of black beans. It is on the pricy side, but for $ 19.95 you get a bushel of clams to satisfy two people for an app for sure. Then the main event… THEDUCK. It’s $ 35 for a whole Peking duck but totally worth it. The duck is always shown to the guests before it is butchered up. For the Americans the head is taken off and for the Chinese the head is still on. The Peking duck comes with delicious handmade crepes to fill your goodies in. Homemade is def rare with these things and it makes a huge difference. They give you plenty of sauce, cucumbers and scallions(don’t hesitate to ask for more) to complete the ultimate Peking duck meal. Yum! I believe there is a separate menu for Americans and the Chinese… someone who is Chinese please take me so I can try to the legit stuff! I’m a sucker for authenticity and I think place has it.
