Bought the Saag Paneer. It was simply ok. Not very good. Tasted like leftovers. I was fairly disappointed. This was my 2nd attempt at this restaurant, my first time wasn’t so good either. Perhaps I’ve gone on off days or picked the wrong dish. Not sure, but definitely not going back when’s there’s too many better options in the area.

Went here for lunch buffet. Service was prompt. Food was good but could be better. The selection for the buffet could be better. Eggplant Manchurian — good concept but it wasn’t impressive. Chili chicken — was good Tandoori chicken — well cooked Kadai paneer and saag — were okay. Less salt. Could be better. Kadi pakora — was good. Liked it. Gulab jamun — BEST. Overall the ambiance, hygiene, service was great. The food selection for buffet could be better.

We love this restaurant and come here often. Typically we get the lamb samosa, naan and chicken tikka masala and are never disappointed. Highly recommend!

Sounds as if it’s better to eat in-restaurant because I too had a bad delivery experience. $ 35 for two orders of chicken tiki masala and they send one container of rice. Did not bother calling back as the original delivery took almost two hours.

Kinara holds a special place in my heart, as I’ve been going to their lunch buffet for almost 16 years. The taste and assortment never fails and I always leave happy.

Came here for the lunch buffet and enjoyed it tremendously! My group brought a bottle of wine as the place is BYOB. The servers opened the bottle for us and also a basket of warm naan. I believe the buffet options change day to day. The regular dishes are salad, rice, and tandoori chicken. Today they had chili chicken, goat masala, a broccoli and potato dish, and many other sauce-like dishes. The goat masala was very gamey which I know is something a lot of people look for in goat dishes. The chili chicken was super delicious and one of my favorites. There were many other dishes that I enjoyed but the names are very tricky to remember for those without more experience in Indian cuisine. My advice is to try a little bit of everything the first time around and go back for the favorites. The sauce dishes are best dipped with naan or maybe over rice. The only thing we ordered off the menu was garlic naan and it was a great decision! I 100% recommend it to anyone trying this place out. Overall it’s great value for the cost!

I came here for the lunch buffet, which was really worth the money. There were about 5 – 6 main dishes, a bunch of different types of salads, rice, and a dessert. Each table was provided a tray of naan, which was warm, fresh, and delicious. My favorite was definitely the chicken tandoori and the goat(so good). Wished they had a paneer dish the day I went though! It is also BYOB, which is great. The wait staff was super friendly. There is parking in a private lot, which is nice. When I first walked in, I was in a separate dining room where the buffet was not. There was no one there to greet me so I stood there for a while waiting to see if a staff member would come out. Thankfully, my friends found me and showed me to the buffet dining area. Definitely a little confusing. I would definitely return. That naan alone is worth it.

I’ve been going to Kinara for years, and they’ve had their ups and downs. But I’ve gone twice recently and found the food, ambience, and at the service to be top notch. The specials they offered the other night were unusual and(delicious) choices, including spinach dumplings in curry and a cheese/basil nan bread. Best of all: it’s QUIET there. Even with a lot of tables full, you can actually carry on a conversation in there. Never ordered take-out, so can’t speak to that.

Their delivery is really bad and can take up to 2 hours. I would never order again from here.

Wow. I am so disappointed. I love ordering delivery from Kinara because they have great food for a great price but today I received a 1″ long shard of glass in my spinach, a whole spice, and a shard of wishbone that I did actually choke on. I’m sorry to say that I won’t be ordering again. What a shame. You should all know that the food is usually excellent, but I’m the type of person that refuses to take chances when something like this happens. 3 strikes in one delivery. I’m lucky that I caught the glass in my mouth before swallowing and that I coughed up the wishbone. Unbelievable. The worst part is that I have had food from here dozens of times and have been a loyal customer. **UPDATE. I just called Kinara and asked them if the Chicken Tikka Masala is boneless and they replied. «Yes it is boneless white meat». How am I supposed to trust that now? Imagine if I fed this to a small child! **UPDATE2. I called them asking for a refund and they basically just told me to call Grubhub and figure it out. They said there was no manager to speak to.

Waited two hours for delivery. Spicy dish was not spicy. Received wrong order of tandoor kulcha. Received just regular nan.

One of my favorite places for Indian. I typically stay safe and order my chicken tikka masala but any other option where I’ve felt daring and ordered something different it’s been a win. Their garlic nan bread is AH-MAZING! Along with their vindaloo– lamb to be exact. Service is great and very friendly. They don’t have a problem if you ask for more rice and the dip and cracker-like starter is always a plus. Some restaurants don’t offer that at the beginning of a meal, which for me is always a reason to deduct points. Overall, an Edgewater favorite. Totally give them a try. Bonus: the music on their site is awesome. I’m guilty of letting it replay as I get dressed in the morning.

Ugh… I should have known better than to reorder from this place. The food is alright, but the delivery service is horrible. Last time he was here, I caught him arguing with the mailman. Apparently the door didn’t open when buzzed him in, and instead of calling me back, he spends his time arguing with the mailman who wouldn’t let him in(rightly so, for security reasons), and ignored my calls. I walk down after waiting for if for 5 minutes to find him at the door cussing the mailman from outside. Oh, btw, it took him two hours to deliver the food. Today, the same guy takes an hour+ to get here(I live two miles from the restaurant). I guess a little better than last time, though I was hoping it would be someone different. Anyhow, he hands me my order, and before I even have the chance to do so, he asks me to tip him. Rude, but whatever. here’s the clincher: I tip him $ 3 on a $ 12 order, and he’s not happy. «that’s it,» he asks/I was shocked. Excuse me? you know I DON’T have to to you, right? He goes on rambling, «you should be tipping at least $ 5, next time go pick up your food yourself, yaddi yadda». Guess what? there won’t be a next time, you just cost this restaurant my business, I will not be ordering from there again.

Ended up dodging traffic on river road because Blue Lotus in Fort Lee was closed due to technical problems. Overall, it was a quiet, private affair having the entire upstairs to ourselves. The chicken saag was disappointingly flavorful. The tikka masala was good but not as flavorful as Blue Lotus. Same with their Chinese/Indian dish. I really enjoyed their eggplant and the gentle heat in their vindaloo. I also liked their assorted nan basket. Byob is always a plus. They did a great job checking in on us even though we were the only ones upstairs.

LUNCHBUFFETREVIEW: $ 12 bucks for all you can eat Indian lunch buffet! What else could you ask for. The service is great. Food was great. Several Meat and vegetarian friendly meals to chose from. Nann was fantastic. And they even had a soup of the day. I had no complaints for that price. The food. The service. I recommend anyone to come here if you enjoy Indian!

I come here all the time! How could I have not written a review? I love this neighborhood spot. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants in NJ and NYC and this one always pleases me the most. I always get the lamb karma(mild spice coconut curry with cashews). I love it. I’ve also tried the lamb curry which has a rich authentic flavor. When I don’t feel like having curry I get the lamb shank. It’s damn good! The huge lamb shank comes smothered in a tomato sauce that it was delish. There is a private parking lot and there are two entrances– one on top by the mall and one on River road. I would highly recommend this Indian place!
