Went in with a friend and his baby daughter. Great pizza and wonderful service. Waitress was super responsive and sweet with his kid. Will Def be going back.

I think they have given up on the food. Meager menu selection. All cooked by Chef Mic, just frozen heat and serve faire. The burgers were burnt. Locals flood the place because they can sit and watch football all day. After six beers I’m sure the food is better. I’ve heard the pizza is good here, but were told it would be 45 mins to an hour to get one. Meh.

I love the old school atmosphere and friendly service. We always split a salad and 9″ Sweetness pizza. Always great!

Really excellent pizza it’s very unique, not like other pizzas. It’s the crust. what ever they do they have been famous for pizza for a very long time for a reason. I wish I hadn’t moved away. I miss eating there.

We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza. Would strongly recommend it. The Pisano salad was an enhanced side salad– a little expensive at $ 5. Fun, local place. Would recommend.

Old school Italian joint. The pizza is so good too. Friendly service on top of it all.

Ordered italian sausage sandwiches to go. Bread was dry and chewy and so was the sausage patty. Fries were inedible, also dry and tasted like Styrofoam. Won’t go back, even for the pizza which is way over priced.

Not impressed. We just moved to the neighborhood and always see it packed when we walk our dog. I wouldn’t go again unless I had nowhere else to eat and no food at home. The service was friendly but felt somewhat disengaged. Just doing their job. The food was bland and did not live up to what we paid for a meal for two($ 45). This seems like a good neighborhood watering hole with a restaurant added on. I’ve also seen many«Hiring now» signs, that may be a symptom of what we experienced.

This place has been around forever! I have gotten their great white pizza several times and love it! Their crust is really tasty and good of you like thicker crusts. The back patio is nice and quieter if you have a larger party. Inside the restaurant is a little loud and dark. I would definitely recommend their pizza. Their service has been hit or miss. I have had really good service, but also inconsistent. Their large pizzas are under $ 20 and it makes sense to go with the large instead of the medium because it’s only $ 1 more.

The #1 reason I order takeout? Cause there is NOFOOD in the house. So when I get home and my salad has no dressing I am sad, mad, and annoyed. Oh and there’s still no dressing in my fridge. :/I called to inform them and also ask if I could come pick it up and was given a bit of attitude. Thankfully I live less than a mile away and have a sweet hubs so he went back to retrieve the sauce. Second star because despite all this I still scarfed the food down, and yes it tasted good.

Ordered the Sweetness pizza for takeout, asked for them to make it a little«crispy». Had time for a beer while waiting. The beertendress was as sweet as ever, the kitchen manager was awesome. The pizza, mmmmmmm, soooo yummy! The toppings are plentiful, but not excessive. The sauce is slightly spicy, but not overbearing. The crust was done exactly as asked for & was very tasty. I don’t come to Edgewater Inn often, but every time I have I REALLY liked the pizza, & this was no exception!

I am the spaghetti connoisseur and this place is almost there. So, first and foremost, my rating weighs on my impression of the spaghetti. I liked it, but it could have drained another minute. The atmosphere here is awesome! I love it. Just relax and enjoy yourself. It’s a neighborhood place with a neighborhood feel. Also, the spooners are awesome! It’s seriously the best way I’ve ever drank Coors Light. My advice: come for a pizza and some spooners. You will love it!

Edgewater Inn is more than a restaurant, it is a neighborhood institution. The pizza is good and the atmosphere is welcoming to all. You don’t come here for gourmet foo foo pizzas, micro brews and over the top service, you come here because you want to have pizza and a coors light at a pizza joint that is anything but pretentious. Good food, good service, and an atmosphere that is quintessentially Edgewater.

This was a welcome surprise. Not sure how i haven’t tried this place yet, but i guess every time i get in that area US Thai grabs me. Some friends invited me here and I was a little hesitant because of alot of the sub par pizza joints in the area. But from the moment we were seated i had a good feeling. Service was good and quick, if i needed something it was probably already delivered before i could ask. We ended up getting a large thin crust pepperoni with green and red peppers. Right away the topping distribution was excellent, ingredients were fresh and the crust was cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend if you want a solid pie in the sloans lake area.

Nice little neighborhood place. Stopped in to get a pizza and a beer. Service was spotty but not too bad. We ordered the onion ring stack. They were some of the best onion rings that I have ever had. When I took a bit of one, all of the batter didn’t come off. I love that. The two dipping sauces were delicious. I ordered a side salad with my pizza and it was huge. Full of fresh greens, vegetables, pepperoni, cheese, and yummy dressing. Good salad. The pizza was just ok. I have had so many better pizzas but it was alright. The crust was a bit overdone, the sausage was very spicy. Just didn’t hit the spot. The prices were awesome and the beer was cold.

Verdict on the pizza: I guess, we now finally know! When something is THAT disgusting, all other forms of the same product are taste equally disgusting! I stopped in last night with some friends to grab dinner. Two of my party has been here before, the other two had not(this is important to note, as a fair assumption regarding guests: would be to not treat them to an experience such as this). Service was very… VERY. slow. Drinks were expensive: $ 8:00 for a glass of house red wine. That is a lot in my opinion; as we are probably talking about one of the famous vineyards that are talked about regularly in AA classes. Appetizers: We ordered wings… which were so vinegar soaked they literally burned the mouth to eat. They also took 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Pizza #1: To be completely honest here, we ordered a «Sweetness» pizza, which 4 our of 4 people in our group confirmed, came with Velveeta, not the promised America Cheese on it. The taste was terrible… but we waited close to half an hour to get it, so we feared sending it back would result in a longer wait. Pizza #2: During the wait period for the wings(20 minutes) we ordered two pizza’s as there were 4 of us, and we were very hungry. The second pizza was the«Howdy». which oddly enough tasted a whole lot like the«Sweetness». Despite being a very different concoction of toppings… terrible! I and another member of our party spoke of how a place like this could keep its doors open while service and food was as it is. The best we cam up with, was that it is operating solely off of name sake and a once revered reputation.

A OK. The most accurate word I can think of to describe the Edgewater Inn is: average. The food is average, the drink selection is average, the service is average, the prices are average. It’s a nice neighborhood spot and a lot of people seem to love this place. As far as 25th St is concerned, I personally prefer the food/drink options at both Providence and Sloan’s.

A friend and I were searching for a place on a Friday night around 7:30 pm that didn’t have a wait. My trusty Unilocal app pointed me to the Edgewater Inn. I had heard many good things about the food here. I gave them a quick call and we were told that there wasn’t much of a wait so off we went. We arrive and found parking right away. There is street parking and a small lot across the street. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was outstanding. I wish I would have gotten here name but I didn’t. She was the awesome, spunky, cheerful blonde waitress. She was running from table to table and still found time to provide some explanation of the menu and answer any questions that we had. She was attentive but didn’t hover. We opted for the pizza and salad. The paisono salad was huge. If you like chunky blue cheese dressing for your salad I would opt for a different selection — it wasn’t chunky and only had a hint of blue cheese flavor — if they had told me it was ranch I would have believed them. Our pizza selection was the Howdy Special — sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, jalapenos, and house seasoning. We opted to remove the green peppers and add green olives. As their menu states there is a charge for substitutions on the House Special pizzas. We did the math and it was actually a tad cheaper to do the substitution than to create our own pizza. We were going to order the medium however the waitress pointed out we could get the large for only a $ 1 more. So we went for it. We were both able to take home 3 large slices of pizza. It reheated so nicely — two meals for the price of one. Or actually four meals for the price of two.

I wish I had amazing things to say about this place since everyone who seems to have heard of it says«Oh it’s been around forever, it’s an institution!» For being an institution I would have thought the food would be way better especially for the price. We ordered a takeout pizza and there is nothing special about it and in fact is very mediocre. As the Unilocal two star rating states«Meh, I’ve experienced better.» in this case I have. I could have ordered a comparable pizza from Papa John’s or Dominos and enjoyed it for half the price. Would not recommend this place for a slice. Maybe other things on the menu are better?
