I was shopping with my mom at Target and realized the Target had an optometrist on site! How convenient because for the last few weeks my contact lenses were bothering me and causing a lot of dryness. I walked in and they had space to accommodate me, so I let my mom shop while I got my eyes checked (long overdue). I have not had a dilation in a long time, so first thing Dr. Nguyen recommended was to dilate my eyes and perform a thorough exam. I was hesitant since I drove here on my new car and it might be difficult to drive after dilation but my mom offered to take me home (after a quick phone call of course), so I went along with it. Needlessly to say, she found what she called a Chorodial nevus in my left eye, basically a mole but as she explained at this stage it just requires a lot of monitoring and no major treatment (something to be aware of as these can lead to malignant melanoma or cancer). In any case, she prescribed me new daily contact lenses that were much better for my eyes and keeps them nice and moist, and we’ve agreed on a plan to get my eyes checked regularly. Overall, my experience was wonderful, Dr. Nguyen is professional, caring, and genuinely loves helping people.

Amazing doctor! Dr. Nguyen was extra caring and spent a lot of time trying to find the best prescription for me for both eyeglasses and contacts. I’m very happy and highly recommend!

Thanks to Dr. Nguyen, my first trip to the east coast was saved! There was construction going on right by our hotel and something flew into my eye. My eye was hurting so bad I needed it check asap. I searched for an eye doctor and found Dr. Monica, located right inside Target optical. She was able to accommodate me right away and found a small metal object in my eye. Once it was removed I instantly felt better! The next day I was able to see again and enjoy being a tourist.
