Tonight after a wonderful dinner at Flemmings with my extremely hard working boyfriend who just came off a 12 hours shift, he agreed to stop at Lenscrafters with me to help pick out a new pair of frames. I’ve been trying to find a minute of my boyfriend’s free time for us to go, which happened to be tonight after weeks of trying. We were having fun looking at frames until the employee named Phil unleashed more rudeness then I have encountered in all my years commuting in and out Manhattan. As we looked at frames, we were at first shock by the way Phil disrespected his wife on the phone and very loudly for us to hear. It was a bit uncomfortable. He proceeded to put her down to us after they hung up the phone. Very unprofessional! Secondly, a customer kept calling the store saying they KNEW they left their bag there and to please look. He insisted on not being bothered to search, and talked badly about the customer in front of us. On the 3rd time they called, he finally went in the back and found the bag. Instead of sounding happy that he found it for them, he picked the phone back up and sounded disgusted and annoyed that they now wanted to come in and get it. Apparently the store was closing. He insinuated to them that he was already trying to get us out of the store. He was loud enough to make sure we heard. My boyfriend and I were shocked at the things he was saying. Then he looked at us and practically asked us to leave while I was mid-trying on glasses. He said, «I’m tired; it was a long day.» I said, yes we are too, but it’s the only day I have my boyfriend here to help me. My boyfriend’s a 35 year old clinical interventional radiology rep who’s put a lot of time and training in to do what he does. He works in the special procedures interventional radiology departments in all the hospitals in NY and the NYC boroughs. My boyfriend was still in his scrubs and Phil(Lenscrafter employee) said, «you only work in a doctor’s office. How long can your days possibly be? It’s not like you work in a hospital.» I responded, «actually yes he does,» and told my boyfriend we were leaving. Just because my boyfriend is a young, attractive professional, Phil verbally insulted him to his face; insinuating that my boyfriend merely worked in an office, as if that was a menial job. Which regardless would have also been insulting to someone that works in doctor’s offices! Regardless of where he works whether it were in office or in a hospital, which he does, Phil was rude, offensive, and out of line. Any statement referencing where he worked and down playing what he does for a living was no place of his. Let’s just say, tomorrow I will be making a handful of phone calls. Time I don’t have, but WILL be making.

I didnt have any issues with the eye exam or ordering contacts, except that the contacts were not delivered to my house as promised so I had to pick them up.

I totally agree with Catherine V. I had purchased several pairs of glasses there in past years purely because of the convenience of the location and various discounts. But I’ve never felt that their sales people were ever friendly nor helpful. They were always rude and don’t belong in the sales or Customer service field anywhere much less LensCrafters. Recently I went back to buy my son a pair of glasses. Again because of convenience nothing more. Then when I went to pick them up a week later and I also needed to get a new pair for myself I was completely taken aback more than ever. The salesperson who sat in front as I walked in immediately demanded in a very loud and nasty tone«can I help you» as I barely stepped foot through the door. After replying that I wanted to browse but did not bother to tell him I was there to pick up a new pair of $ 400 glasses I just bought for my son, the salesperson who by the way, looked and talked like something out of the Sopranos, began to shout at me and follow me around like i was a thief. Shouting«what are you looking for! What do you need!» He was harassing me every step of the way while I was trying to look at frames. I couldn’t wait to get my sons glasses and leave. Then I got on a business call on my cell and began to negotiate a deal over my cell while this thug looking and sounding abusive so called salesperson continued to hover over me and follow me around like I was going to steal something. Meantime he didn’t know I had had spent over $ 2000 on this store already and was a repeat customer. He treated me like I was a peasant or a thief and even criticized me of being a bitch while on my business conversation I had on my cell. I couldn’t believe the way he spoke to me and treated me. I left and immediately called LensCrafters corporate on the phone and reported the incident as well as told corporate that the service at LensCrafters was always herendous but this took the cake. And I will NEVERCOMEBACK. It escalated to the store manager who tried to apologize for the idiots behavior. He did nothing even to offer further discounts from my most recent purchase. Guess what. Apologies mean nothing when it comes to spending thousands of $$$$$ and getting abused. But rest assured I have now officially boycotted LensCrafters forever!!! DONOTGOTOLENSCRAFTERS!!! Worst customer service on earth!!!

Dr. Chen is the most unprofessional organization I ever dealt with. Their customer service needs serious improvement, which includes training of their employees. Their employees lack communication skills necessary to deal with customers. The employees behave rudely and refuse to assist any customer needs.
