We went for the Mother’s Day special Pros: — the restaurant made special exception and allowed us to order outside from the menu with discounts — their seafood selection was great! their scallops and oysters were amazing! — recommend their orecchiette with truffles! YUM — beautiful view of New York skyline and seeing the sunset was wonderful — the place is beautiful(1st floor has a bar and 2nd floor was mainly tables, but a beautiful place) — loved their lychee cocktail :) — our waiter was very kind and checked up on us frequently enough to let us enjoy our dinner Cons: — their steaks aren’t the best… for their price — because it was a busy night, it took a while to get our food out make reservations! before you go

Beautiful view of NYC skyline & really yummy food! The décor & atmosphere is elegant and chic. Definitely make reservations on weekends. They have valet & a coat check so you don’t have to worry about anything except enjoying your night.

HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!! WORSTMOTHERSDAYEVER… My family and I Waited 2HOURSPASTOURRESERVATIONTIME(YES, 2HOURS) JUSTTOBEGREETEDBYANUNAPOLOGETIC, EGOTISTICALMANAGER. We took the time to look over the menu while we waited so that we could order quickly once we were seated… only to find out that they had a pre-fixed menu that wasn’t even posted online.(EVERYOTHERRESTAURANTINTHEGALAXYPOSTSTHEIRPRE-FIXEDMENU). I asked for the manager to state my complaints with him and all he had to say to me was«Well, do you want to stay or leave?». Not even an apology was offered to me and my family. The hostess downstairs even had a moment where she had to step away because she was crying. I’m pissed off that I even have to give this place 1 star. Disgusted with service and management. Do not come here if you are trying to impress anyone. 100 thumbs down.

Discovered this hidden gem through a recommendation and went with my wife for our anniversary. What can i say the food was delicious! Started off with the octopus and spicy shrimp for appetizers(very hefty serving i might add). Then ordered the ribeye and i have been to quite a few steakhouses and this was absolutely made to perfection. My wife ordered the scallops which she enjoyed but go for the steak(ribeye) you will not be disappointed. Cant wait to go back great service and the price was fair for the quality of food and ambience.

Great view dining by the Hudson River. Had a nice dinner there with some friends on a Saturday. Not really my type of crowd(boob jobs and guidos) but it could have been the night we went. Enjoyed the flamenco show and cocktails were good. Overall nice time because I was in good company, food and drink were satisfying and the waitress was super friendly and helpful.

5 star food and service! The Scallop Risotto or Sea Bass will not disappoint you and are very filling. Great wine selection, deserts(memorized by the waiter), and the d. j was on point on Saturday night. I would definitely go back to Orama as I can say it’s the best tasting restaurant by the water.

Owners/Chef: How can you have a venue in a spectacular location such as this, and have your kitchen produce such lackluster food? The classic mistake of «greed before guests».

I’m giving 2 stars just because of the view of the city. They really need someone to come in and consult the kitchen. I had the filet mignon and it was like a hockey puck. It was a cool experience but I’ll never go back. At the end of the day, it’s all about the food, and this place just doesn’t have it.

Great view and ambiance, confusing menu with no directions, chef must be new or not very experienced food is not bad but had nothing to bring me back. Wine list also very poor.

Beautiful venue, amazing view of NYC, friendly staff and good ambiance. The orecchiette with wild mushrooms and truffles was AMAZING! didn’t try anything else on the menu but for the above mentioned stuff alone they deserve the 5 stars.

Location: Prime. Beautiful view of the New York Skyline. Restaurant: The exterior does not properly speak for the inside. The interior is gorgeous. The large glass windows are jaw dropping. The stairs. The chandler. The bar. The art. You need to see it for yourself! My words hold no meaning. Service: When you enter the hostesses are very pleasant! They help with your coats, and get you seated right away. The waiters/waitresses are great at recommendations. Quick. And good at what they do. Food: The food is full of character: great presentation, flavorful, leaving you wanting more. Bar: I’m in love with their specialty cocktails. The upstairs and downstairs mixologist are So Amazing at creating tasty libations. With all that said: great place for any occasion. Go. You won’t be disappointed. Not possible!

I’m going to round up to 2.5 stars, mainly because of the nice view of the city. Came here with my guy on a recommendation from friends. The restaurant is very modern and decorated really nicely. The parking is valet only and you are escorted upstairs to the dining area by a hostess when you arrive. It was pretty empty on a Saturday at 7:30, which I thought was odd. Our server, while nice enough, was pretty clueless about most of the menu and wine selection. She must’ve been fairly new, because she would come up to our table and just look at us, instead of asking how anything was or if we were ready for the check. I ordered the cream of cauliflower soup as my app, and my guy ordered the seafood salad. My soup was very good, but I thought the calamari in his salad was too chewy. I got the salmon for my main dish, which comes with«mixed vegetables» aka some kind of wilted lettuce slaw that was very unappetizing. The salmon was cooked well, but tasted pretty fishy. I didn’t finish it. My guy ordered the tuna steak because it came with squid ink pasta(his guilty pleasure), but when it came to the table it was over lentils instead. He didn’t finish his dinner, which is very rare for him. We skipped dessert, mainly because the main courses weren’t great and when the server came back she just looked at us instead of offering a dessert menu. Considering I was still hungry when I left, the ridiculous prices here just aren’t worth it. You can get way better food for equal or less elsewhere. I wouldn’t come back.

Absolutely gorgeous view! Restaurant is beautiful! There are two floors — first floor you can order tapas and main menu — upstairs you can only order from main menu — I would definitely recommend eating upstairs — view is exquisite! For dinner I had the salmon with stir fry vegetables which was wonderful! Fish was cooked perfectly — for dessert I had the chocolate banana tart which literally melted in your mouth — service was great — definitely a place to take your honey on a date

Absolutely Terrible! We had reservations for New Years Eve for dinner at 10:00 pm we had to wait till 11:15pm to be seated. Could not get a drink at the bar there was only 1 bar tender. Was seated and 15 minutes later a rude waiter came and gave us menus. I had to chase him down to place our order. By 12:45pm all we had was a terrible lobster bisque soup and bread. Only 2 waiters for 15+ tables. When I confronted the owner I got an argument from her. We had to leave in disgust. The management is running this business into the ground. Terrible service!

It is a beautiful place ! The décor, the ambience, the staff, the food is Amazing! You can talk without shouting lol! One of the best octopus i have eaten. It is perfect for a romantic dinner or a get together with friends. They also have amazing entertainment and make you feel welcome. The prices are very reasonable for the area.

Clearly Orama’s management is running this restaurant into the ground. And the place has so much going for it. Beautiful interior, breathtaking views of the city, lovely ambiance. We were greeted promptly and seated at an excellent table. Then our experience quickly soured. We waited a good ten minutes for water and a waitress to take our drink order. It was as if we didn’t exist and the room certainly wasn’t packed on a Saturday night at 8 pm. The waitress arrived, left menus and returned with our drink orders. Okay, we thought, now things are looking up. Well, no. She returned to take our order, but we needed to ask her for the fish of the day, she absently remarked they didn’t have the menu item my husband wanted, and had to check with the kitchen for another item. We order the Seafood Tower appetizer for one, which was upwards of $ 52. What the hell, it’s a birthday dinner! I was actually offended by this rip-off: four oysters, four tough shrimp, and half a lobster tail. I couldn’t believe it. My husband remarked, «This isn’t a tower, this is a ranch.» I could have bought the ingredients at Shoprite and steamed them for $ 15 and it would have tasted better. Two of us ordered the short ribs and two friends in our party ordered the fish of the day, we also ordered a steak, pasta and lamb. My short ribs tasted like hot, slightly-less-tough beef jerky covered in a salty, gelatinous gravy. I have short ribs where ever I go, and these were the worst I have ever come across, hands down. I couldn’t finish it, and didn’t even take the other half home for the dog. From what I heard down the table, the fish was dry and full of bones, the steak tough and chewy. The only positive review was for the rack of lamb, which was in place of the lamb unavailable from the menu. After dinner(and waiting forever for our plates to be cleared) we asked for a dessert menu, but Orama doesn’t have one. You must listen to your waitress yell a multitude of choices down to your guests, none of which sound appetizing. We left without dessert at a birthday dinner. And please, don’t ask for a decaf cappuccino or they will offer you decaf coffee with foamed milk on top.(Seriously? For $ 8?) I don’t know what restaurant the people with rave reviews went to, but the Orama we ate in was ridiculously poor on the elements that count: food quality, value and service.

There is one highlight I would like to mention about this place and that’s the view. If you sit by a window table, you get a near panoramic view of Manhattan from across from NJ. While I have not been to many of the restaurants in this area, I have serious doubts that you could beat this view from the Hudson River from the NJ side. The interior décor of the restaurant is beautiful and modern and it’s not often you find a place like this in the suburbs. For a view like this in Manhattan, I could imagine that you would pay at least 2X of what you pay for food in this restaurant. While I much to rave about the view, the restaurant isn’t without its quicks. The background music is top 40 music(say…Rihanna and Maroon 5?) which doesn’t mesh. The food is about 3* in my books. I had the tuna steak(Ahi preparation) and the seafood salad. There was nothing to rave about the food, but it wasn’t poor enough for me to criticize this establishment. In my opinion, I suggest Orama as a spot for you to go drink and have a few appetizers. This would be a very cost efficient way to take advantage of the fantastic view(especially at night).

Orama is a relaxing, warm and friendly atmosphere having some of the best cocktails and dishes around. The staff is genuine and inviting, and more than gracious as hosts. The bar is gorgeous with beautiful views of the city. The chatter and ambient music is just the right volume. Paired with a fancy cocktail, like the spicy jalapeño margarita, it really takes the day’s edge off. A stroll up the grand staircase reveals an inviting dinning room with gorgeous seats and tables and a stunning view of NYC skyline. The food was delicious; crab rangoons, lightly saluted calamari, and chef’s special ahi poke! Dinner among fiends was equally fantastic with Arctic Char, Boneless Ribeye, Kataifi wrapped Scallops, and a mushroom risotto. Of course for dessert, the flan, layered mousse cake, raspberry shortcake and crème brûlée were equally amazing! With great company, a great setting and fantastic food, the night was a hit!

The entrance looks deserted but the big brown doors is the right place. Went on a Wednesday so it was pretty quiet. There was no issue getting a table with a spectacular view!!! Food and service were also great. I had pasta with clams. Very tasty! This is a perfect date night location. Will def return

So much amazingness in one night. Where do I begin? My two friends and I ended up here for dinner unexpectedly on a Saturday night because our other reservations had fallen through. A frantic Unilocal search led us to this brilliant establishment! We called ahead to make sure they would take us and they were very accommodating for our last minute reservations. Upon walking inside, we were immediately impressed. The unique décor and dim ambience is definitely notable and sets the stage for a romantic evening.(Great for date night). We opted to sit upstairs and the views were beautiful, even on a rainy night. Food-wise we ordered the spicy tuna appetizer… Which was probably the only mediocre aspect of the meal. It came as three small dollops of the spicy tuna over one giant sheet of seaweed. Splitting it in three was a little awkward as we had to try to tear the sheet of seaweed apart; also, the tuna itself lacked salt and flavor. The main course, however, redeemed the rest of the meal. I had the scallops wrapped in filo, my friend had the short ribs, and my other friend had the tuna steak over squid ink pasta. All were very delicious and cooked perfectly. Portions were also adequate. For dessert we ordered the chocolate mousse cake, pine nut tarte, and crème brûlée(3 ways– passion fruit, coffee, and plain) to share. They were all delicious, although I feel the portions could have been a little bigger(but that’s just my inner fat girl talking). When we were leaving, one of the valet parkers even gave us an umbrella to use to walk to our car(even though we didn’t valet park). The staff is wonderful! Overall a great venue to spend a special evening, and well worth every penny.
