I’m so happy to have found this place. I have had bad experiences with auto repair shops in the past, but the lovely girl who helped me each time I came there and the owners are friendly, helpful and most importantly honest. They only fix what needs fixing and do it for a good rate. I will take my car to them every time!

Could not be happier with the service from Jason and his crew! I called with a few concerns about 30 minutes before they closed on a Saturday, and Jason said he was happy to take a look even though they were closing soon. I arrived 10 minutes before closing and received the best service I have ever had at a mechanic. Jason and his team were thorough, detailed with explanations, and very honest about how to best handle next steps. Most of all, everyone seemed to really respect and enjoy working with each other. Major kudos to Perry and Sons, we will definitely be back!

Perry and Sons is a reputable place to visit for your car needs. One experience I had was when i went in a little early for an oil change and the mechanic let me know that I was actually good to go without paying. That was a breath of fresh air since he brought a level of integrity that many shops would not have. I appreciate that tremendously. My next visit was for a synthetic oil change. Everything seems to be OK except I have had a heating and engine temp issue since this oil change which was not there before. Granted, I cannot conclusively say that Perry and Sons bears any responsibility for it, but I will say the issue only started after the work was done. Reputable, yes. Consistent, maybe not.

Took my car in here a few times, 3 oil changes total. I bought a great Subaru Impreza from Strictly Automotive (which I should have just taken it to in the first place) with a rebuilt engine, great condition. Long story short, I took her in for an oil change and a day later I come to find there’s a huge crack in my radiator and coolant is spewing everywhere. I took it back to the shop and asked the guys what the hell was going on, I’ve had zero problems with it since I bought it and had the engine refurbished, and the guy looked at me like a deer in head lights and said something like «yeah, I dunno… an oil change wouldn’t have done that.» No shit Sherlock, but perhaps you guys jarred it or hit it on accident and didn’t let me know. Moral of the story, I’m telling people to steer clear of this place like a prostitute with warts. Thanks for nothing guys! Strictly all the way.

Absolutely fantastic service! As a young female I’m always apprehensive about taking my car somewhere. Came to perry and sons for a second opinion, after being told my car needed over five thousand dollars in work. They took the time to explain what was wrong and I didn’t need half the work the first place told me. Had my car in and out within hours without an appointment. So glad I found these guys!

This place is a total scam, caveat emptor.
My girlfriend went in for a simple oil change and they upsold her all kinds of ridiculous worthless crap like a «fuel system cleaning» and an «EIG Flush». They upcharged her over $ 150+ of worthless services and intimidated her into buying their crap. On top of all of the $ 150 «service» it didn’t even include an air filter!!! Also when they changed her wiper blades they took the old ones off but forgot to put new ones on. She drove away and tried to use them and scratched her windshield. When she came back to complain, THEY BLAMED IT ON HER!
I’m calling the BBB to report them. I just hope their nonsense «engine flush» and «fuel system cleaning» doesn’t actually do real damage to her car.

Seriously the best car shop I have ever been to! Nathan the mechanic made it very easy to understand what was wrong with my car. He made sure I didn’t waste any. money fixing something that didn’t need to be fixed. When I told him I really needed my car by the weekend on a Friday (which I knew was a long shot) he took care of it and got be back on the road. I’ll never take my car anywhere else! If they had a 6 star option that would have been my choice. Thanks guys

If you’re looking for **trustworthy**, highly knowledgeable, honest, good old-​fashioned customer service, you’ll want to check these guys out. Located a few blocks from Sloan’s Lake, I have driven by them for decades without realizing what a gem of a business was right there – less than a mile from my house. I first heard about them a few months ago from another customer at the car wash who had recently moved into the area and was «blown away» by their knowledge, expertise, and high-​quality customer service.
Clearly, they are in business to HELP (not take advantage of) people who are having problems with their car (s). I especially appreciate Gator (rhymes with alligator) who happily takes the time to explain things in a way that is so skillful, that the writer of this review (70 year-​old woman who knows next-​to-​nothing about cars) can clearly understand what he’s talking about. No wonder they have earned an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau! I will never take my car anywhere else, unless they recommend that I do, and then I’ll only take my car where they suggest it be taken. I’ve been taking my car (s) to mechanics for more than 50 years, and am an avid fan of «The Car Guys» on NPR, I’ve never been anywhere I trust or appreciate more! Did I mention they’ll actually **save** you money? They like money as much as anybody else, and are happy to take it – but never for things that don’t need to be done, and always at a surprisingly reasonable price.

These guys are great. Old school — no fancy waiting room, no dweebs in collared shirts, just regular guys fixing cars. They’ve been here forever. I’ve taken my car to them numerous times, and several times they’ve done little fixes for free or almost free. They are very reasonable in that my car is very old and not valuable, so they don’t try to upsell me on additional services or try get me to buy stuff that I don’t need. In fact, just recently the clutch started to go out on my car. I took it there and they looked at the clutch and told me it’s just about toast. They added some transmission fluid and got the bubbles out, which helped a lot. I said, ok well, go ahead and replace the clutch. They said they would replace it if that’s what I really wanted, but given the low value of my car they recommended that I just trade it in. Now that’s honesty that you won’t get from most repair shops.

I would recommend these guys to any of my friends in Denver. I stupidly went to Pet Boys first because the head light in my nissan altima was out. After being there for 3 hours on a Sunday morning they told me that they couldn’t fix it and needed to do an electrical workup on my car since the new light did not work. Pet boys also said this would cost $ 50 and would take anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours! I’m not the best with cars but that just seemed ridiculous considering everything in my car worked great other than the light. A few days late I went into Perry and Sons and explained to them what Pet Boys had told me. They took immediately took my car back and within 10 minutes told me all that was wrong was a blown fuse. They then took me back and showed me and explained exactly what was wrong with my front light and showed me how they were fixing it. Not only was this way faster than Pet Boys, but they also didn’t charge me because it was so simple! Also they are super nice guys there!

These guys are incredible! I came to these guys by way of recommendation through my cousins girlfriend. I told her I was nervous about going somewhere by myself (being a female in her 20’s) and getting taken advantage of she quickly reassured me that these men were the most honest genuine mechanics she’s ever had the pleasure of taking her car to & won’t go anywhere else. She met me at the shop & after introductions and a quick evaluation of my cars problems by their staff, I can see why she’s so loyal. They gave me a thorough explanation (and even used a model to explain which part of my tires were damaged!) and then they got to work on my breaks & rotors! When it came time to pay, the price was beyond fair & there were no surprise fees or fix-it’s! They really went above and beyond with customer service & not in the «cheesy-​corporate-​fake-​smile-​luv-​ya» kinda way. The men at this shop were genuine, kind hearted, courteous & sincere gentlemen. They’ve definitely made a life time customer out of me! I’m going to tell everyone to go there for any car troubles from now on!

These guys are so dishonest, unreliable & shady. I am also a single woman with some automotive experience, but I am new to the area and when my car died about 8 blocks from their shop I remembered seeing them and had the car toed to them.
What began as a hopeful experience to have my car honestly & successfully serviced turned into a 3 week nightmare. My first mistake was not doing more research into these guys reputation– as it turns out by a variety of locals & other mechanics/​car shops they have quite the bad reputation.
Over all these guys made promises along the way to have my car serviced/​fixed by various dates, never did they keep their promises; my car had been sitting their and I finally got a call a day after they said it would be ready (day 9) and they hadn’t even begun fully diagnosing the problem let along fixing it.
I don’t know what they were thinking, but I definitely got the impression that they didn’t care about my car, my business, their reputation, their integrity, and kept pushing my car to the side while they chose to work on my more lucrative car repairs.
My car sat at their shop collecting duct and mean while I had no transportation to get to work and appointments. Who is going to rent a car for 3 weeks. Taking my car to their shop ended up costing me soooo much money and I never got it fixed. I went to the Edgewater police department to get advice on how to handle these guys. When I mentioned who it was, the police office got a smile and just shook his head– he gave me advice about how to proceed. I can’t mention it here.
After 3 weeks I went to get my car to have it toed towed, they wouldn’t release my car with out paying them. I was told not to pay them anything, but I was so desperate to have my car back that I did give them money. After I paid them and was walking out the door, the Dad, I presume Perry, pathetically started saying all these disparaging things about my car, saying it was messed up and probably can’t be fixed. It almost felt like insult that someone would shout at another person after a fight. These guys are scumbags.
I had the car toed to ANOTHER shop, and the guys were wonderful. They got my car fixed quickly, and took car of me.

My fiancé and I found this fantastic local shop one fateful day when some idiot attempted to steal the starter out from under our Chevy Tahoe. It’s super close to our house and we hadn’t yet found a local garage to care for our cars, so we had it towed. Long story short, the Tahoe starts perfectly fine these days! Gator is as knowledgable and accommodating as they come — we won’t be going elsewhere!

Love these guys! I’m a 55 year old woman with no automotive knowledge and am therefore a sitting duck for unscrupulous repair places. However, I’ve brought my ’98 Subaru to them for a number of different issues, and they’ve always fixed the problem right the first time. The cost? Shockingly low. You’ll never look elsewhere again.
