Never again. I was sick and desperate for soup so ordered from Bite Squad. Since I have no hair thanks to chemo can be absolutely sure the hair in my salad was not mine… wild rice soup was bland and forgettable as was the flatbread but the hair seals the deal…

Been to Crave many times and recent experiences worth writing about. Love the location and like the ambience. But the food is so average, the prices not. This time I ordered the bison burger with fries.(Last time at Mpls Crave I had a very dry penne chicken pasta dish and had to ask for more sauce as it was primarily a bunch of pasta which is pretty cheap to serve and pretty boring to eat) This time, received medium sized hamburger… if you are hungry get something else. They skimped on the fries too with a handful thrown on the plate, and half of them were«pieces» of fries and for how cheap potatoes are it was pretty sad, and it’s $ 15 hamburger… they really must think we have low expectations. Yes, that annoyed me. Wine pour was barely acceptable and the waitress tried to upsell, suggesting $ 15/glass and above wines, and obviously not backing up or knowing why these were so great. SO, if we each had two glasses of wine at $ 15 or more/glass with a couple of burgers, we are up to $ 110 with tax and tip… for burgers and wine! We still spent almost $ 90 with $ 10 glasses of wine(one of the cheaper wines). Think about it. After writing this, I curiously read what others thought, thinking I was too harsh. After reading, I believe that there is pretty much a consensus that the place is overpriced with very average food. Lot of apologizing after reviews from management over the years, but has anything changed? Maybe traffic is still good so no need to improve… Wish it was better as I would frequent more often.

I’ve been to Crave for both dinners/lunches and happy hour. The 4-stars reflect the happy hour experiences I’ve had. The service is generally good no matter when you go, but I feel the regular menu is pretty pricey for the quality of the food. The happy hour menu, however, is pretty wide ranging at a great price. We were especially fans of the happy hour sushi, since it’s pretty good quality for the price of the rolls. Definitely will be back for happy hour!

We just got home from one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Everything was wrong. Awful service for the price! I am in the service industry and I have never had this awful of an experience.

We are BUMMED. For years Crave was one of our favorites, but it has gone down hill and we won’t be back. In the last year or so we’ve tried it a few times in hopes it had bounced back, but it hasn’t. The service is marginal and slow. The food is sad. The wedge salad was water-logged. The lettuce in the Crave salad was old. The risotto balls were gluey and under-seasoned. The mac and cheese used to be incredible and totally worth the extra time on the treadmill, but now it’s tasteless and needs seasoning. Plus, they’ve added micro greens… which is just odd on mac and cheese.

I’ve been to this location about 5 times. Each time the food has been expensive but worth the price. Whether you’re going here for sushi, or a more traditional dinner, they’ll make it well. The Tempura Bites are my only complaint… they basically don’t taste like anything.

It was my first time here and I truly enjoyed this place. I’ve been to a different location of Crave before and never truly enjoyed my experience there, but this was a good place to eat for lunch, late lunch(3 pm). I arrived here with my friend, wait time was about 10 mins, it’s located in Galleria, you can easily be shopping and looking around while waiting, so in short, waiting Isn’t a big deal if you’re eating here. Parking was easy, tons of parking space available. Appetizer: we had calamari, one of better Italian style calamari here. The sauce was a bit too rich in garlic, but was still good. Drinks: I had chocolate martini, so yum. I could drink this thing all day long. I also had White Sangria, it was a complete different taste than the chocolate martini, but it was delicious with rich fruit flavor and quite high in alcohol. Definitely getting it again. Entrée: I had beef stroganoff: it was a really delicious meal. Beef was done right, not too much pasta just right amount, portion wasn’t too big, it was a perfect meal. Grilled mahi mahi: I wasn’t too fond of this fish, but it wasn’t bad at all. Totally edible. However, the base it had, the rice with sautéed shrimp was yum. I’d still recommend this dish especially if you like mahi mahi taste. Dessert: tiramisu: it comes in a glass and I’ve simply had way better tiramisu before, such as at Moscow on the hill. This had far too much cream and lack of espresso. Totally edible though. Berry cobbler: it comes in same size and shape glass as the tiramisu, has berry compote and tastes alright. Their dessert wasn’t the best, but better than most American style restaurants. Overall experience: very good. The waitress was great, fast, nice and overall atmosphere was good. Food came fast and tasted good. Catch: if you get the right meal, it’s a great place to eat.

We went to Crave today for Happy Hour. We received a Crave coupon in the mail for $ 10 off of $ 30. We ordered our drinks and waited quite a while to get them. The server mentioned that they were training in a new bartender so we do not blame the server. We ordered our food while we waited for our drinks. The drinks arrived and then we got the food. We enjoyed our meal and drinks and provided the coupon before the server came with the tab. She said the coupon did not work on Happy Hour. Funny, we used a similar coupon on a previous visit during Happy Hour. I asked to speak to the manager and she told us that the coupon didn’t apply to promotions and Happy Hour was a promotion. Really, they have Happy Hour Monday through Friday every week of the year. This is their idea of a promotion? Here’s a suggestion– print«not valid for Happy Hour» on future coupons so everyone is on the same page.

Stayed in the Westin attached to the Galleria for a business trip. Ended up eating here three times! Lunch when I got in, dessert and after dinner drinks that night, and dinner the following night. Food was great! Sushi was fresh. Service was attentive and very friendly! Will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

The staff was great! They ensured I was taken care of every step of the way. They get 5 stars. The food however, was sub-par. The restaurant was semi-classy with a date night vibe. The way the food was priced, I was expecting it to be fantastic. Granted, I was eating sushi in Minneapolis, but it was not worth a $ 16 roll that looked like it could be picked up at your local Safeway. Edible, great atmosphere, awesome staff.

From such a large business I expect better. I went on a Saturday afternoon to try the food. We were hungry and eh, it was there. We tried the burger, and it was undercooked. We do like pink so we were okay with it but we said medium, now raw. The meat was raw. Instead of complaining I just chalked it up and knew I would review it instead. The homemade tater tots were described MARVELOUSLY as some amazing chunks of homemade mashed potatoes and chive and seasonings fried to a crispy deliciousness… What I got was 5 soggy tater tots that would fall apart as I put it on my plate. Filled with grease and not crispy, I was not excited at all to eat them… the flavor was grease. On the table it said, AYCE Crab and Steak on Sunday night, so we came back the next day because… HOW do you do this wrong!?! The steak had AMAZING flavor though it was discolored orange and looked like the roughest cut ever it still tasted amazing. The crab was delicious too! The only thing I would change is have the guest say how many they want… maybe 1,2 or 3 claws. I was getting 1 claw at a time and the event seemed to drag on or was going to take 4 hours to get my fill of crab. I would rather go to Mystic seafood line and fight every one so I can get a plate of crab and eat rather than wait so long between crabs.

We took my mother in law the for lunch sat. got right in. served right away. The food was so tasty: the beef tacos were exceptional, the sliders were served on a sweet bin and I recommend putting the pickles on the sandwich so good. Could have used even more. The beet and kale saled had a great dressing on it. could have used more beets they are so cheap. The we’re 3 tacos and 3 sliders. Maybe we are spoilt but the portions seemed a bit skimpy for the prices. But because the flavor was so great for all 3 entrees it gets a 5 star rating. Flavor seems hard to come by.

This place has a spiffy vibe, a tidy locale and friendly staff. Everything on the menu looks darn good, but here’s a tip… just don’t order the corn chowder, unless you like oddball surprises in your soup. Mine arrived at the table looking like something from the cover of Food & Wine. Fantastic until the 2nd taste, at which point I discovered a foreign object in my spoon. I left the table(not wanting to freak out my family) and when I rinsed off the mystery object, it turned out to be a child’s orthodontic retainer. This did not make me happy. I asked to talk with the manageress, who showed up as soon as she felt like it. I spoke with her(discreetly) regarding the finding of a child’s retainer in the corn chowder. I was too disturbed to finish the meal, but I was also curious to know how the thing got there. She asked if she could take it back to the kitchen to question the staff. Minutes later she reappeared, claiming that the object I’d found was nothing more than the metal band from a bunch of asparagus stalks. «That’s how they come from the supplier,» she explained, as if I should feel LESS disgusted, now that I’ve been told that I had actually not been served a child’s germ-laden dental device. Manageress’ tone was not at all apologetic. I’d been provided an erstwhile«explanation» regarding the foreign object, and her goal seemed to be to elicit a sigh of relief from me. I know what I saw in that soup spoon, however. A strange child’s saliva-laden retainer in a bowl of my soup? It would have been almost slapstick, if it hadn’t been so vile. Anyway, manageress was kind enough to strike the cost of ONEBOWLOFCORNCHOWDER from the final tab(well over $ 100.) No apology at the end if the meal, either. Needless to say, I won’t be recommending Crave. Their kitchen staff is either careless, or perhaps they’re just bored and occasionally pass the time by tossing random inedible objects into the food, just to see if it will generate a response. The situation was not handled well and my concerns regarding the unsanitary food prep were dismissed. I was essentially told«nope, it’s not a REALLY disgusting object we put in your food, it was merely a dangerous one, and you were not injured. Hence, stop being a baby and go back to your table.» When one chooses an upscale restaurant(in Edina, no less) one has faith that this type of thing cannot and will not happen. My faith in Crave never got the chance to take root. Until they send me a handwritten note, promising never again to add any more dental devices to my food, I’ll be forever sharing this experience with anyone who’s at all interested. In hindsight, it’s sort of amusing, but still… God knows who is in that kitchen, and why he’s passive-aggressively tampering with the food there.

For a place that serves Mac and cheese and burgers and sushi, I’m impressed with their sushi. Service was prompt and friendly. We ordered 4 rolls: spicy salmon, spicy tuna, California, dragon(no cream cheese). I was surprised by the crunchy carrot in some rolls(I thought I broke a tooth!) and the lettuce, and there was a giant cucumber in all the rolls. Another thing was the rolls had too much rice. I don’t like space fillers(random veggies and cream cheese) nor excess rice. Other than this the taste was good. The dragon was overpriced at $ 18, it wasn’t any bigger than the other rolls, but the eel was smoked it was good. If I’m in the area I’d come back.

To say Crave is «all over the place» would be an understatement. American. Seafood. Flatbreads. Sushi. They pretty much cover everything. I’m always a little skeptical of places that do this. I call it the«Cheesecake Factory» syndrome. Lots of different options but they all taste the same. However Crave proved to be decent. I kept it basic and went with the Crave burger. It was good. Not great. Once again, Milwaukee still is the burger capital of the world. The truffle fries were decent too. The restaurant is huge and was packed. I saw a few sushi plates go out and they looked pretty good but I’m always suspicious of places that serve sushi along with burgers, chicken & pasta. Personally I don’t think they would bring in the same quality of fish that sushi«exclusive» places would. But it was obvious a lot of people at Crave don’t share my view so good for Crave. I had a decent meal and I would go back if I was in the area but I’m always gonna be a bit suspicious.

i’ve never been impressed by crave. I only ever went here many times bc it was close to work and the only place my coworkers could agree on for HH. I pretty much only enjoy the garlically fries here. everything else is mediocre and over priced

Don’t come here and expect good sushi because there are none. However service is always great and ambience is very nice. I recommend their Chicken Wild Rice Soup & Lemongrass Chicken, both are very flavorful and come in a big portion. I also tried their house specialty Sangria and for what you pay for, this is a great steal.

Service was great — I wish I remembered his name because he was very friendly. Food was simply ok. We ordered miso soup and the geisha boat. The spicy tuna was good. Everything else was ok. Parking is hit or miss at the galleria. Obviously it depends on the day and time you go.

Tl;dr: Having read previous reviews about this location… I was a little concerned, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. If I could, I’d say 3.25 stars(bumped up because of the coconut cake and calamari). The long version: Service — friendly throughout dinner, and the server brought us our check early since we mentioned over dessert that we were short on time and she overheard our conversation. Some snafus in the beginning, though. Our party had a child(and I had put in an reminder in my OpenTable reservation), but they tried to put us in a booth… and then settled on a four top… for five. And at the beginning I was the only person that the staff were directing their conversation to(do you have questions about the menu, do you need a kids menu, etc)…err, there are other people at this table. Food — we started off with the calamari, and then ordered the Asian chicken salad, steak and beet salad, the shrimp fettucini, and the lamb burger — plus a kids mac’n’cheese. Also, can I just say, who charges for a bread basket? That aside, I tried everything but the shrimp fettucini(which was reported as «ok» — certainly smaller than typical Minnesotan portions). The calamari was good — cornmeal coating was nice and crisp, jalapeño cut through aioli. My steak and beet salad was solid — generous portion of meat, balsamic reduction was surprisingly(but in a good way) thick, lots of nuts. The noodles on the bottom of the Asian chicken salad were too salty from a lot of sauce, and the lamb burger was pleasantly spicy(and I think the most reasonably priced item, at $ 13). Yes, I stole some sweet potato tots from the kid as well — pretty good, but underfried. For dessert, we ordered the coconut cake and apple tart on the recommendation of the server. The coconut cake was as massive as it appears in my photo. Super concentrated with coconut. Delicious. The apple tart(more of a galette) was also good, but not as much of a standout.

We spent a night at the Westin and found ourselves here for a Sunday night dinner. We started with the Crab Stuffed Shrimp appetizer which sounded fabulous with a pistachio pesto and roasted tomato for $ 14.95. Honestly, as fabulous as that sounds, I didn’t care for it. It was lacking some kind of fresh zing, and I’m not sure what that is. Husband, however, had no problem polishing it off. We also opted to share the pepperoni pizza, minus goat cheese, since I am not a goaty gal.(Husband has to make sacrifices as a result). This was really good! Thin crust, very flavorful! Meanwhile, I was enjoying some chardonnay and Husband was enjoying some bourbon. For dessert, we were tempted by their great-sounding miniatures. For just $ 3.50 each we thoroughly enjoyed the Blueberry Cheesecake and the Salty Caramel Mousse… yum! Service…very good, and booth was comfortable.
