Another outpost of the funky fried food Mecca of lake Calhoun located in the somewhat out of the way bramaer golf course club house. I learned they’ve been open since April but am only now finding them having walked the dog past the golf course today and noticed the sign. I went online and learned of their $ 10 Friday night fish fry so my wife and I decided to check it out. You can choose cod or catfish and it also comes with waffle fries and coleslaw. Plenty of food and a great value. Unlike the Calhoun location there is plenty of parking and lots of seating(and it’s all in doors) making this a year-round destination. Order and pay at the counter and they will bring the food out to you(they yell out the name so make it something good like porkchops or snookie!) Our plates came out hot and heaping with fish. We each had 5 long strips of cod perfectly prepared with a very light and flavorful coating, a decent-sized heap of waffle fries and a cup of their signature coleslaw-my wife could even finish it was so much –and just $ 10! With Edina starting to loosen up a bit as it relates to alcohol, you can buy a beer or glass of wine too at the Braemar location to enjoy with the food. Don’t expect anything fancy, they are going for value. Highly recommended

When I heard Tin Fish was at Braemar I got so excited. I am at Calhoun weekly and can’t deal with the lines. Went here for lunch thinking this is too good to be true. It wasn’t! Ordered my favorite calamari tacos and the sweet potato fries. Tacos were as good as always. Never had the fries before and they could be the top five sweet potato fries ever. I work a mile from here and I now have a new favorite lunch spot. YAHOO!
