While Yogurt Lab is often a fun hangout and a quick, healthy bite to eat, my experience has consistently been subpar. This time, it was the worst. First, the employee there — apparently he was the manager — was sitting in the back corner looking at his laptop. He said a quick, «Come in!» but that was it. Not a great impression, especially for the manager. Second, there were no big yogurt cups in order to use the yogurt separators so I had to go up to him and ask him if there were any more big cups. This is definitely no big problem if it’s busy and all, but there were only two other people in the store and he was just sitting in the back… Third, they were out of Yogurt Lab flavor yogurt — not as in «everybody ate it out», but as in «I haven’t made the yogurt yet out». Again, the employee was just sitting with his laptop.(He told me it takes 20 minutes to make the yogurt. Not that much of a commitment for having practically no customers in the middle of December) When I brought this up to him, he talked way too much about the process, said sorry once, and overall gave me a very cocky explanation about how he didn’t know the flavor was out. The birthday cake flavor yogurt was also extremely mushy and not frozen enough at all. Last thing, there were no sample cups because he forgot to replace them. Really? While these things may not be that big of a deal, I did not like how this guy apologized exactly three times this night with a very arrogant, entitled attitude from when I entered, told him about how unhappy I was, and left. This pretty much ruined what I thought of Yogurt Lab. Even before, the employees wouldn’t even smile at me or say hi, but at least they would keep the store running properly even at extremely busy times. Nevertheless, the yogurt and toppings themselves were good. Nothing amazing, but pretty yummy. The experience of getting the yogurt, however, was so disappointing. And we all know how the experience is as important as the product when it comes to reviews!

My girlfriend and I walked in to a dirty store. Yogurt dripping off of the dispensers. Old nasty yogurt in the troughs. Gross mud, dirt, and snow all over the floor. Not a clean table to sit at. That’s not a problem if the place was busy, but the place was empty. Not even an employee behind the counter. In fact, we had to wait a couple minutes to even see an employee at all. When we did, they were reluctant to give out sample cups. Another employee walked in while we were checking out the flavors and they were having a conversations about paychecks and schedules and other employees. Not the best environment to have those conversations in. The condiment bar was also a mess and not refilled either. The yogurt was also a struggle. We can tell when flavors are a little bit off. There were a few at this location. Not as strong of flavors for some, and then overpowering bitter espresso flavor. Will make a conscious effort not to come back to this location.

Love the yogurt and my friend and I load it up with fruit! I must warn that sometimes staff is not very nice or friendly. And the new rule is to limit the sample cups. I know it is to weed out the bad apples but I like to try a few flavors as the consistency of the yogurt can change day to day. The vanilla can be thick or a little runny and icy. Hint: taste before buying. Please bring back unlimited sample cups!
