On the morning I left the hotel I found the battery of my car dead. I needed to be in Indianapolis in a short time for an appointment with my daughter. A lady on your breakfast staff not only attempted to assist me by using her own car to jump start mine but retrieved her own battery charger from her home to help us get going. She was a God send to us when we needed assistance. She would not accept any money for her effort and time. The lady at the front desk was also of great help contacting one of your off duty maintenance men who was willing to come in from home and assist us. Ultimately the clerk directed toward a local tow company who was able to get us on the road. Everywhere we turned at this business was a friendly person willing to go far beyond what was required of their job. We made our appointment in Indy on time and our trip to Indy(3 hours from home) was saved. Your company is fortunate to have employees such as the ones I met. It reflects very positively on your hotel and your location. P. S. Your property was very nice and well maintained. Thank you so much!

Hotel is typical Hampton, which is good with me. Good service, decent breakfast, gym with good quality exercise equipment, good value, will stay here again.

There’s a Hilton Garden Inn behind and a Holiday Inn Express across the street. A Comfort Suites is a block away. So there are choices where to stay in Edinburgh. The location is great with a gas station /convenience store right next door, as well as a Subway, pizza place, Montana Mike’s, Ruby Tuesday’s and McDonald’s very close by. I stayed at this Hampton Inn for over a week so I think I can write with experience. The pool was great and the breakfast in the morning — from 0600 to 0900 was really good. Clean, well-stocked, with a changing variety of offerings. One morning was scrambled eggs, the next omelets, another was bagel«toppers,» This free breakfast and coffee not only saved me some money but made for a great start to the day. Monday thru Thursday there’s a happy hour with free beer and mixed drinks. I enjoyed that as well. The room was large. The bed was very comfortable. There was a decent selection of channels on the big screen TV in the room. There was a small but very use-able refrigerator and microwave. The alarm clock was easy to read but too hard to program. I gave up and used my iPod. The water pressure was good in the shower. The room was quieter than a lot of rooms in more expensive«swankier’ hotels I’ve stayed in so I liked that about the Hampton Inn. Now the not so good stuff. The air conditioning gave off a strong mildew odor. I ended up opening my window.. No matter the setting it spewed out the mildew odor. I liked that the window opened My biggest criticism was with housekeeping. They didn’t change the bedding during my stay. They say they change it every day in the advertising but while I won’t go into specifics, I could tell they had not done that. The pillows were kind of small so I moved them onto my bed and each day they were back on the other bed. I think they have to do that so I don’t gig them on it. One day the front desk called and asked if a guest had left a bath mat in the room. There was a rubber bath mat lying on the floor in the doorway of the bathroom. Since I had been in the hotel two days already I didn’t understand how something was left behind that I hadn’t seen before. Especially in the middle of the floor. Then one day I came back to the room and there was a roller with sticky paper on it stuck to the toilet seat. There was hair on it. The small bottles of shampoo and shower gel were not regularly replaced and once there were still empty in the shower when I got back, which made me think the shower hadn’t been wiped down or cleaned. Each day I received a different amount of towels. Just kind of strange. Lights would be left on that I had turned off when I left in the morning. Beyond these things, it’s a pretty nice hotel.

Was supposed to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, but they didn’t have a room for the 4 nights I needed. This place is right next door. Not a bad place. Check in was easy and quick. Parking was also easy and free. Plentiful as well. The rooms themselves? A bit strange in reference to «regular» Hampton Inn rooms. First. There is a 6 sided hole in the bathroom wall between the bedroom area and the bathroom. While there is a shower curtain covering it, there isn’t anything else. So if you have«non-intimate» company… you’re sharing sounds, «sights», and smells… interesting. Second. The TV was a 50 in rear projection. I’ve never seen one of these in a hotel room. It wasn’t bad, but certainly wasn’t HD. Unique for sure. Had the usual micro-fridge and portable closet. One big problem I noticed, and this cost them 1.5 stars, was a lack of a desk. I’m traveling for work, and NO desk? Not cool! All of the rooms were like this. Wi-Fi worked well and no problems. Staff was friendly and helpful, as I needed a few items which were provided without question.
