Came to Edison today to try something new. A couple cute shops and some amazing food sums up this place. We ended our trip by picking up some bread and pastries for the evening. We got some coconut shortbread(rich, buttery and dense), Pan au chocolate, buttery flaky cookies(can’t remember name), and an almond bostick I believe. All of the pastries were good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s a nice little shop with lots of offerings!

Honestly, the best bread EVER. You will not be disappointed. Just to walk in the BreadFarm is a treat because it smells sooooo good. We see them in there working hard long after they have closed, when we are going out to eat down the block. Boy they work hard. And the result is so worth it. Do not miss the BreadFarm if you are going through Skagit Valley.

Good bread and pastries, but nothing really exceptional compared to other bakeries in our area. A bit overpriced though.

Bread is fresh and oh so delicious! We purchased gingerbread men cookies decorations included for $ 10. Scrumptious. This place is located in Bow-Edison population 3 just kidding haha it seems that way though. A shop dedicated to baking bread. It truly is an adventure to shop here! They sell cookies and stollen. Prices are higher than grocery store but sheer delight in eating bread should make up for the cost!

OMG yummy bread and delicious treats! Their sour cherry & lemon bread was perfect for leftover turkey sandwiches. My husband is in love with their potato bread. I can’t get enough of their baked goods!

Nestled in a hamlet off the beaten track, one of the best bakeries ever. What is it DOING here? Tried every cookie, all great. Bread ranging from unique to solid. Drawbacks? a) location — it’s a drive, and b) price. Each cookie was $ 1 to $ 1.50. Oh, and CASHONLY. It was a close call, but we had enough.

OMG! Bread! And baked goods! Across the street from the William R Murrow mural in Edison. Our local guide said, «We are stopping here.» No ifs, ands or buts. And it is a must stop when in the area. I could move to Edison just to be able to visit the BreadFarm every day. It’s that good. All baked goods made by hand. The treats are varied, enticing and sumptuous. Cash only, so hit the ATM and take more cash than you think you need, because you’ll be tempted to buy out the store. Its that good.

Delicious bread & treats. We were on a road trip and stopped here to get some treats for the road plus the next morning. So glad we did! My favorite was the pain au chocolat but boyfriend loved the blueberry tart.

THEBESTCOOKIES in the world! With such wonderfully balanced ingredients and in such a delightful variety of shortbreads and other cookies, it is here that I have just sampled many of the finest cookies probably ever made. Neither too thin, nor too thick the amazing array of various shortbreads were neither too buttery, nor overly«floury,» but perfect in texture, and bite. All the cookies are loaded with wonderful flavors and in such a nice variety to select from, too. The chocolate ginger snaps and cornmeal blueberry cookies were also among the favorites for this maiden munch down. Welcome to Cookie Monster Heaven! The breads sampled were also very, very fine and made for delicious deli sandwiches next door at the«Slough.» I must try more and return visits are definitely in the cards. BreadFarm is not your average small town country bakery, but one that makes excellent use of local Canadian and Washington wheat to craft and carefully bake a delightful variety of treats and staples. I don’t know if there bread production also includes ryes and other grains, but they sure know how to get the most out of a bushel of wheat. Although, it takes very refined skills and devoted and consistent care to create this quality of product, fine bakers, like the staff here are born, not made and BreadFarm has both the training and talent to put it out there alongside the best bakeries in the country. So load up the gas tanks, fill the wallet with cash, empty your bread baskets and cookie jars, and make your way to Edison. Yes, BreadFarm Bakery is the go-to-place for the best in Washington state baked goods!

I buy all of our bread from here… so yummy, local, and healthy! And then I usually grab a cookie(jam thumbprint is my favorite). Not as healthy but an amazing treat! They only take cash so come prepared. A super cute bakery in Edison.

I’m madly in love with the Breadfarm. It’s had to say exactly what the best part is about the bakery. The chocolate thumbprint cookies? the bread? The vibe? It’s all great. Edison, the town itself, is an adorable destination for lunch or breakfast,

All bread is sourdough and it is delish. We got a whole grain loaf which they sliced for us, along with a variety of cookies. The jam thumbprint cookies could end global conflict forever. I wish we’d gotten more.

This is a collective review for the several trips made going to/from Vancouver BC or just meandering around Skagit County. Open daily 9am to 7pm. Remember to bring cash or local checks only, no cards. Baked goods and artisan breads are top notch! They have outlived the Farm to Market bakeshop that used to be down the street. My favorites are their various cookies and hearty loaves(especially the potato bread and the miche) which they will kindly slice upon request. BTW — when wrapped thoroughly, the bread loaves freeze nicely. So buy more than one loaf, okay? Totally worth it! When in the Bow-Edison-Burlington area, get some berries from Burlington, cheese from Bow, tasty accompaniment goodness from Slough Food, amazing baked goods and artisan breads from Breadfarm in Edison.

Whiskey pecan shortbread cookies and apple butter bars are absolutely delicious! They have a really large bread selection considering the apparent size of the bakery. Really nice rustic loaves, dinner rolls, baguettes. Lots of choices for shortbread flavors as well. Looking forward to going back to try more!

What’s not to like about the Bread Farm? It’s one of those places you *must* stop when driving the backroads of Skagit County… if for no other reason than to grab one of their dreamy coconut macaroons with it’s crunchy outer shell and creamy tropical inside goodness. Or perhaps you’re in the mood for their delicious take on an «oreo» — two thin discs of chocolatey amazingness with a soft white filling. Not to mention they have tons of bread(from basic baguettes to wild flavors like sour cherry sourdough) to choose from. Grab your bread here, some Salumi and wine at Slough Food next door, and walk out onto the shores of the slough, plunk your butt down in an adirondack chair and enjoy a truly Pacific Northwest experience. Another great thing about this place is they are open on Mondays(when most of the rest of the little town is closed down). Their prices are a little high, but then again where are you going to find this amazing quality of baked goodies anywhere nearby?

Nice little bakery here in Edison within the small town. As you walk in you can see all the bakers busy with rolling out dough and preparing for the next fresh baked items to be made. They have a wide selection of breads, pastries and cookies being sold. What I liked about this place was they had a couple of free samples of bread for you to try out since the bread flavors wasn’t what your typical breads you would find at the local grocery store. I tried a hoagie roll since I wanted something small and didn’t come in a whole loaf. It was a good size and was quite filing even though there was no meats or cheeses inside. The only downside was I thought the prices were a little too expensive for the cookies as they cost at least $ 1 each for a small size. On a side note this bakery only accepts cash or checks.

I haven’t actually been to their shop in Edison; I buy their stuff at the Everett Farmer’s market on Sundays. But it is so good. The olive baguette is one of my favorite foods of all time. It’s so salty, bitter, crusty, and wonderful. It’s very simply made with few ingredients, but somehow it’s addictively perfect. I buy it on Sunday and eat it all by the next afternoon. If you like olives at all, TRYIT. I’ve also had the sour cherry bread, which was very, very good, and a couple of their different types of chocolate croissant-type-things. Those were also amazing.

LIttle bread shop in adorable Edison with some great eats. Lots of beautiful and savory breads to be had here, including a olive bread that will beckon and several crusty baguettes that would pair well with local cheeses at Samish Bay Cheese, but its those desserts that really shine. My favorite was the coconut macaroon with its crisped edges and moist center, the vanilla shortbread, made even better with Breadfarm homemade raspberry jam, or the chocolate thumbprint. We had our first sampling of Breadfarm breads at the Mount Vernon farmer’s market a few years back(great local market, if you are in the area!) and they also frequent the Bellingham and Anacortes Farmers Market. For us, it was absolutely worth a drive to Edison, a quirky, artsy, tiny town, to taste more of their wares. Put this on your list for your Skagit adventures.
