The most horrible tasteless and disgusting laksa, green curry and Panir Chilly I ever had. Why I oh why did I end up in this disgusting place. Giving even a star is being too generous. We paid after 2 spoonfuls, second spoon to see any difference. Cost $ 28…leaving the place never to be back PRICELESS. The laksa is made with uncooked turmeric(chef said green sauce) and it tasted dry and bland. Lumps of noodles with nary pieces of vegetables. The green curry had enough Veges and tofu however it tasted too sweet and was not close to even calling it a curry rather a coconut soup that look red. The cost of food would have been OK but for the tasteless entrees We left in a hurry and landed at Saravaana a veg southern Indian rest… now the Unilocaling.

I would’ve given it 1⁄5 overall if the food wasn’t as good. The food was above average. I really liked the hakka noodles. The chilli chicken and chicken manchurian were EXACTLY the same. We couldn’t tell the difference. Chicken lollipop and chilli paneer were average for appetizers. Soups were okay– nothing too special(we tried chicken sweet corn and chicken munchow). Service and décor were absolutely horrendous. Food was served in plastic paper plates and no bowls were provided for the soup. I felt like I was sitting in a very low end dhaba in India because even dhaba’s accommodate proper plates and utensils unlike this place. Furthermore, a complementary 15% tip was automatically added to my bill, which I didn’t appreciate because we received NOSERVICE whatsoever. We picked out our own plates and served ourselves the food even though we dined in. Overall, I think this place would be okay for takeout, but never consider dining in.

I went to this restaurant yesterday with lot of hopes to eat good indo chinese food… But it’s complete disappointment… Soya sauce bottle kept on tables were stinking with bad smell… We ordered chicken hakka noodles and pad thai… They gave regular noodles for pad thai… Moreover, chicken quantity is very very less in plates… Apart from ambience in restaurants, we didn’t like anything much…

Worst food ever! Ordered for chicken lollipop and the chicken was stale and stinking! When complained he gave a replacement with some spicy sauce in it which almost killed me!

Initially we went twice to this place we liked their food very much. But after Tht we went there like 4 times. Every time we went we were disappointed. It’s not as before now. Once we got veg manchurian it was stale unfresh. Tom yum soup was nice but the other things were terrible

GREATFOOD and GREATSERVICE! We ordered take out almost near closing and the owner offered to wait for us. On top of that she served my wife and I each a cup of hot soup on the house while we waited for our food and it was mighty cold that day. I will never forget that KIND and GENEROUS gesture and she even let us taste the sauce to one of our dishes to make sure we liked it. Good service like that makes me a repeat customer and makes the food taste even better! We like the CHILIPANEER, CHICKENLOLLIPOPS, LAMBGINGER, GOBIMANCHURIAN. Definitely try this place out for great Indian-Chinese food!

Very small restaurant. It looks like a takeout place. One person cooking and serving. Food was ok. Not the greatest or worse. Soup was free and good. Everything on paper plates.

Hyderabadi roadside fried rice, noodles and soup. Not very impressed but good if it is once in a while.

Still the best place for Indian Chinese. Masala fried rice and achari tofu outstanding! One of the few places with continued quality food!

i’ll never come here again. the food was disgusting. the place looks like a dump… i can’t believe they are allowed to be opened. if it was in NYC they would get a grade F. i order chicken lollipops and just got fried chicken wings… i didnt have the menu but i just ordered what i thought was standard… what a rip off. don’t go here. go to Ming down the road! better deal and 100 times better ambiance.

We had high hopes from this place after reading the menu and few of the reviews. But I would want to say this, if you are a fan of indo-Chinese food, DONOT even go near this place. The place almost has no seating area plus it has a strong smell of fish oil or similar products. We ordered for take out, egg Hakka noodles, veg manchurian and chilly chicken. None of which was even close to being appetizing. We hardly had any of it and sadly ended up throwing most of it. Please AVOID this place!

Very nice host/waiter in this very small place. Good that most chicken entrees around $ 11 – odd that appetizers are almost as much. BYO. Important note: food is served in plastic takeout containers, with plastic utensils and cups. Spice level is quite high. It may just be happenstance, but both entrees had much more sauce than I amused to for the same items. Tasty, zippy rendang sauce.

For me a restaurant experience is never just about the food… The service is equally important… And unfortunately the service here sucks big time. But I’m very fond of the Indo-chinese food from these guys… (The low star rating is completely based on the one moron who sits at the counter, the light eyed guy, I should’ve asked his name… But I was way to pissed off to be pleasant anymore… He is too arrogant to be in a customer facing job…) Coming to the food that deserves 5 stars: This is by far my favourite restaurant for chicken drums of heaven in NJ. The chilli chicken is awesome too… But its too spicy, we love spicy to it gets into my list of favourites… The chicken fried rice and hakka noodles are amazing too… I will probably continue to visit the other locations of Chopsticks…

This is my favorite spot for Indo-Chinese food in the area. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. I suggest the dry gobi manchurian, vegetable manchurian in gravy, chili paneer/vegetables, hakka noodles, and the basil fried rice.

Decent food, portions are quite good as well. They serve food for diners in disposable plates though. Prices are quite good and a good indo-chinese alternative in Edison to the pricier Ming.

Ordered a take out and definitely it is not worth going there again. The quantity is quite decent but the quality horrible. Chicken Fried rice — it would be more apt if it was called Chilli rice. It was dumped with red chillis and was so hot that i started sweating. Chili Chicken Dry– Half cooked chicken tossed in chilli powder. Schezwan chicken — Was more or less chicken in a gum/glue paste. horrible. i have taken food from there before but it was a long time ago. so probably the chef or something changed to make them go from a decent Indian Chinese to this horrible mess. I wouldnt recommend it unless you want to throw away money.

This place is like a F%$&*N iraqi oil well. All their food is swimming in cheap oil. They just over fry everything that is kills the taste, secondly their is also an over dose of MSG in their food. They originally capatalized by introducing Indian-Chineese where there weren’t any Indian chineese in the Oak Tree area, since then there are many other offering a lot better and taster alternatives, so they are limping along licking their wounds. Occasionally they feed on innocent suckers who walk in and drop their wallet and have keep on going, truly they are nothing but Zombies. Avoid.

Having heard great things about Indian-Chinese food — every Indian person I know raves about this stuff — we decided to get some of this stuff when we were in Edison. This place seemed like a reasonably priced joint with good reviews, so we found ourselves in Indian strip mall central for lunch. We ordered Hakka veg noodles, and lamb in hot garlic, since my dining companion knew what were«classic» Indian-Chinese dishes. The guy taking our orders gave us a skeptical look when we ordered the hot garlic dish; he made it quite clear that the dish was spicy. We were amused since my dining companion is Indian, and Asian people can take a bit of heat as well. Maybe we just look like wimps? Having grown up with Chinese food all my life, I found the food a little bizarre, but good. It’s kind of like Szechuan-Indian fusion, or Singaporean/Malaysian, maybe. The presentation of the food in standard take-out containers detracted a little from the appeal. I wasn’t blown away, but I’d like to explore the genre a little more to make a more definitive statement on this place, and I have no idea how this place compares with the real thing in Chinatown in India. Nevertheless, if I found myself back in this area, I might try a few other things on the menu. The strip mall and the one across the street has a lot of delicious-looking shops and restaurants that are also worth a look.

As other reviewers have stated Chopstick is an Indian owned Chinese /Thai /Malaysian restaurant(also known as Indo-chinese). I thought it was a nice change from what I normally get. The different curries sounded decent to me, we ended up getting beef rendang, masala rice, haka noodles, and tom yum soup. You can choose your level of spiciness too, which is cool. it is a café style carry-out joint, the tableware was plastic utensils, plastic containers and styrofoam cups. The only water available was from a jug-dispenser. Prices were fair, around 8 — 11 dollars for each portion. I might go try another indo-chinese place, but probably not this one.

Its an indian owned thai restaurant. Not as good as the original real thai place. But if u live around edison and a real thai place is too far. Then this place will hopefully do the trick. Too bad it didn’t do it for me. Their chicken pad thai isn’t bad, it’s the only thing I would get there.
