I recently dined here with a friend and my experience with memorable. It’s a great choice for Asian Fusion Food. The quality of the food, the ambiance and the service were all commendable. The waitstaff was courteous, knowledgeable and very pleasant. We started off with some Coriander Soup and Drums of Heaven. This soup is so light and refreshing and the drums of Heaven was done just right and was so so good. We then had Thai chicken Fried Rice, chilli paneer and lamb massaman which is my favorite. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Very impressed.

One of the best place to visit for indo chinese food in Tri States area. There are lots of restaurants on oak tree road but nothing can come close to ming with its speciality cuisine. Their ambience is beautiful with booth and table seatings, Me and my family have tried most of their dishes from non-veg to vegetarian for eg: they have really good speciality spicy coriander soup drums heaven chilly shrimps a chilli chicken hakka style my all time fav along with chilly garlic fried rice or thai basil rice. Lobster black pepper is perfect blend combination of seafood in indo chinese style, in vegetarian my mom and sister loves their crispy lotus stem appetizer along with kung bao potatoes with cashew-nuts and their eggplant in chilly sauce to finish of they have lovely date pancakes, royal thai pudding and off-course kulfi which literally melts in mouth. We have always taken our friends and relatives here and it has always been up to the mark with excellent service and consistent food quality. Reservations are highly recommended during weekends.

Food taste is good and it’s little on the expensive side. Service needs to improve a lot. After being seated no one came to get my drink order. After waiting 10 mins I had to call the waiter to place an order and to me this is bad service.

Good food, decent table service. For starters, We ordered chicken hot n sour and sweet corn soup along with drums of heaven(pretty filling I would say). For the mains, Hakka noodles n Chk Manchurian. My wife n I were so full with the apps that we barely touched the mains. So, we had them box the left overs which was pretty much 2 full entrees. BIGMISTAKE. I would suggest box your left overs yourself.!! We checked the boxes when we got home and found that they just put how much ever could fit in their tiny to-go boxes(half of what they served us). Did not expect this from such a quality restaurant especially when they are doing so well. That’s pretty much my reason for 3 stars– more like 2.5!!! Overall — food’s not bad at all though a little pricey. But guys, taking a cut out of the left overs is a cheap move! Note to the restaurant managers/owner — Get your waiters in line before this happens again! Not good for your reputation!

I liked the food here. I felt they were not authentic Indo-chinese, nevertheless the food was amazing. We did order bunch of stuff but my favorite was the Chicken Schezwan Fried rice. The portions are good as well. Bit pricey but good for the portion. The ambiance was OK and the service was excellent. We reached there at 7 and by 8, it was bustling with people. I suggest having a reservation before going there. Will highly recommend the Chicken Schezwan Fried rice !

The tum yum soup with lotus stem as appetizers were good. For the main course we had sweet n sour chicken, fishermans sea food bowl and chicken garlic noodles. In the fishermans seafood bowl could not find the crab claw as advertised. Rest was tasty. Good ambience and service.

My husband had wanted t try this place out for quite a while, and finally a few months ago before he moved for work, we had a chance to stop by and try it out later in the evening on a Saturday. Ming shares a doorway with a different restaurant, which, when we went at least, was completely packed. Ming itself was busy enough but not to the extent of the other restaurant. That said, it took a very long time for us to get served food. The place was packed with Indian families and I know this place has been around for a long time, but I wasn’t so impressed with the food. In my opinion, for Indo-Chinese, the restaurant Spice Rack in Franklin Park has far superior food and ingredient quality. The meat in the dishes was overly gristly and kind of gross. The papaya salad was okay but it sort of reminded me of something you’d get at a PF Chang’s. I just wasn’t that impressed by this restaurant. There was nothing particularly bad about it but nothing that made me want to go back. Oh, and I felt it was far more expensive than it should have been for the quality of the food.

I have mixed feelings about Ming. We went on a Monday night and were immediately seated. The restaurant has a cool/formal atmosphere which I liked a lot. Our server had a lot of suggestions which was nice. He was able to explain what the dishes were like. We ordered soup, an appetizer, two entrees, and rice. Starting off on a high note, the shrimp dim sum style was excellent. I practically fought for the last one. Really excellent. The Tum Yum soup was good as well, except our server told us it «wasn’t very spicy» and it actually was. It was bearable and tasty, though. It was a $ 1 up charge to split it, which he didn’t tell us until after, but that’s fine. Unfortunately, entrees came next. This would have easily been a four star review if they never came out. The vegetable massman curry was pretty good but not my favorite. The chicken Manchurian was lackluster. Both dishes were far spicier than we asked for but, again, since we enjoyed it, I was OK with it. We ordered two rounds of rice and I thought we made pretty clear that we wanted the small size. We were two people and we were shocked at how big the servings were. When we asked later, our server told us that we had explicitly ordered this, which wasn’t true. Although he took this off the bill(after we mentioned it twice), he seemed reluctant to do so. Honestly, a small was $ 3 and the large was $ 6, but it was the principal of the whole thing. It seemed like we were up charged on everything we ordered. Dinner came to under $ 60 for two people, which was awesome. I would consider coming back and giving the place a second try, but I prefer Moghul next door(same owners).

Excellent drums of heaven for starters and loved the fried rice and chicken pad Thai noodles… Reminds me of typical Indo chinese back home! Worth more than a visit.

Worst service I’ve ever endured. I’ve worked as a server and a hostess before and this is the most unorganized and incompetent waitstaff I’ve ever seen. The food was tasteless and we had to ask for water, plates, silverware, and napkins multiple times. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

I am not at all excited about writing this review. Our whole family decided to meet up here for dinner. Made a reservation for 7 pm. Started off with sweet corn soup. It was average. Main course we got pepper chicken, chili chicken, chili lamb and eggplant with garlic Szechwan sauce. Honestly all the curries tasted the same and not very good either. Vinegar was kinda overpowering in all the dishes. Rice and noodles were not bad. I have been to this place 4 – 5 yrs ago and it was really good. They quality has gone down a lot. I was disappointed. I don’t think I will be going back.

Decent spot for Indo-Chinese food. Let’s cut to the chase… here’s the breakdown: Papaya Salad($ 9) — without peanuts of course(I’m allergic) Highly recommend ordering this — has a great mix of spicy and tangy flavors which compliment each other very well :) Crispy Lotus($ 7) — everyone’s favorite appetizer! Something different for sure. My aunt is going to try and attempt making these at home :) Spicy Coriander Soup($ 6) — My new favorite soup! I wish more restaurants made this. I give it 4 stars… only because I wasn’t a fan of the chicken inside but if you love mushrooms w/spicy and sour flavors — I guarantee you’ll be on cloud 9 :) Lobster in Black Pepper Sauce($ 24) — Ehhhh don’t waste your money. Lobster tasted very fake and I regret ordered this. Even though everything else I ordered was pretty great, this ruined my experience.

Valentine’s day is probably not the best day to dine here — everything seemed rushed and impersonal. This has been a staple place for special occasions for us — but this visit was after a rather long break, and boy has this place slipped two-three notches. While it’s still $$$, gone is that special feeling of personalized service. We ordered hot-n-sour veg soup and no complains there. Crisp Cauliflower Manchurian as an appetizer lived up to the billing. For entrees we ordered three — spicy garlic noddles, crunchy veg manchurian, and chili paneer plus a side of jasmine rice(entrees don’t come with rice!). Believe it or not, could not make any distinction between the sauces of chili paneer and veg manchurian. There was no subtlety in the taste — thick sauce and a bit on the salty side. The spicy garlic noodles were very unremarkable and were served in a bowl that was overflowing with noodles — how sloppy for such a pricey place! It just shows that they had prepared these in bulk in advance so that they could turn the tables a high-demand day. Valentine day is special — the dinner here on that day tho was anything but. We will watch latest reviews before trying them again.

This is Chinese food with Indian spices and I love the result! All of the chili dishes; the fish in oyster sauce, black bean dishes and the Thai shrimp are excellent. So is the service and the atmosphere is very nice – good space between tables; comfortable chairs. BUT – when lamb and seafood dishes are $ 18 – 23, it is annoying to spend $ 6 more for white rice(large enough for 3– people, but still…). Portions are generous. It serves alcohol but when we showed up with our own bottle, it was no problem. The flavors are vivid and spicy means spicy, so ask for mild if that is your preference.
