Very good for snacks, sweets & Indian drinks … We ordered three times in one sitting one after another … Apart from pani puri’s pani being little sweet, no other area of improvement. Keep it up! #mithaasmenu

I live in northern NJ, my nephew bought some rasgullas while he was visiting us, they were stale and the worst quality. They should be ashamed to even sell that

We came from DC, enjoyed the food. Service is fast, although they are really busy and sometimes it can take a bit longer to order. I will certainly come back

Variety of food is amazing. A strong recommendation would be to try all variants of chaats(Indian snack made of crispy stuffing, yogurt and variety of condiments) which are very well made . Unfortunately same can’t be said with main course thaali options which have extra oil on bread and curry and their special sandwich which is BREAD only!!! The lemon soda is a MUST. Will go again for this only

Went here today for a dinner since singas was going to take 30mins to make our pizzas. Ordered the pav bajhi and falooda and partha. All the food was soooo average. The pav was not buttered and it tasted like the stores bought ones that they grilled for a few minutes and the bajhi was also very Unflavorful. I was really hoping this place would be amazing due to create all the good reviews but it tasted super mediocre, dry, and unauthentic. The falooda needed more icecream in it and rose flavoring. And the paratha was SOOO dry I was getting cotton mouth eating it. Service also took long but that is understandable for a Friday night.

This place has the best Vada Pav in NJ! I hail from Bombay; so, I know what a good one should taste like :-) The Gujrati thali is pretty good too.

We decided to drive down to Jersey for some chat as a spur of the moment decision. We reached 20 min prior to closing time but were told they close earlier. Furthermore the manager even advised us that kitchens always close 30 minutes prior to closing time. That means you can enter a restaurant but not order anything. This was ridiculous. Anyways when we asked the manager don’t they serve sweets and chat he said yes so the first person just said no service without even asking us what we wanted. The kachoris were average but the sweets were nice especially the Bengali ones. I would have rated them a 3.5 for food but service is zilch.

What a difference from their jersey city location! The customer service here sucks! Two miserable ladies behind the counter have no idea on how to greet or help a customer with a few questions. You stand around feeling like an idiot while they dilly dally. I’ll stick to my Newark avenue location!

If you are from outside of NJ and thinking specifically Bengali sweets then Mithaas is the best place to be. The sweets are fresh and vibrant with flavor. The snacks are delicious and made to perfection, well presented. From street foods to Thalis, it’s all simply too good.

One of the best north Indian cuisine I’ve tasted in the US! We have always liked all the dishes we have ever had but definitely need to mention last evening’s dal batti, that was the best batti I’ve ever eaten, the batti itself was perfectly cooked with a nice dense but soft center and a firm crust, served with ghee and churma and delicious dal. Oh and the Rabdi here is to die for!

Finally! Chaat just like India. We stopped off here on recommendation from a friend and I’m glad we dropped by. Aloo papdi chaat, Rasmalai and rasagulla were good! The pani poori was fantastic. I wish I hadn’t eaten earlier or I would’ve eaten more than one plate. The kesar badam milk was great! The malai kulfi was something I’ve been craving for from when I came to the U.S. It was delicious! And the jelebi too good to describe! Love mitthas! Waiting to come back to try the meals!

Horrible food. We came to this place during afternoon and ordered chole bhature and thali. It was a complete waste of money. There was no much spice, food was stale.

This was my second visit and unlike my first experience this turned out to better. Reason being I asked the person at the counter for his recommendation. We had a late lunch just before a bollywood movie so ordered a bedmi poori or a Dal puri which was fluffy soft and tasty served with potato curry. I would highly recommend this dish. We also ordered missal pav and it was good too. Will come again for the pooris next time

Good Indian Food… combination of Authentic and Fast Food. You will not be disappointed if you go far Dahi Puri, Vegetable cutlets, Tandoori Paneer, Thaali, and Mango Lassi.

Pani puri was too salty. Dhahi bhalla was stale and the place looked a doze mad dogs had just passed through here. The servers dont seem to give a crap. Go at your own damn risk.

This was my third visit in last 1 year. Mithas has impressive food. The choices are limited for a complete meal, but chaat items are good. Here are the things I’ve tried and their rating: Bhervi: excellent in first visit, ok in second visit Aloo tikki: very good Pao bhaji: excellent Rabdi: very good Mal Pua: ok Paneer bread pakora: good Tea: good but they don’t serve it hot Sev puri: very good The place is very crowded during weekends. Not sure about weekdays.
