Very friendly staff! The sushi is always fresh and services prompt. I have been there during the day and at night when it is a lot busier. Even at night the service has been great. The all you can eat option is the way to go!

Honestly I think your local grocery store has higher quality cuts and rice than this location. Rice was dry and hard, the fish was thinly cut and not fresh. Skip this unless you are looking for quantity over quality.

I have very mixed feelings about this place, overall I do end up eating here. But only for family get-togethers mostly. Some of the things on the all you can eat sushi menu are amazing for the price, like the tri-color roll is just absolutely flawless. However, there are certain rolls that just have an awful taste and are basically inedible. I can’t quite make out what the taste is because it’s not a seasoning its something that’s gone stale. If you have friends and family that are human garbage disposals and eat everything and anything and just want to keep eating Non-Stop forever and ever then this is a good place to go but if you’re looking for a consistent amazing incredible quality you might have to go elsewhere.

Once again: meh, I’ve experienced better. If you are an all-you-can-eat sushi virgin living or working in Middlesex County, you should give Sushi Palace a try for just the sheer volume of(Americanized) sushi & sashimi you can eat at a flat price. Hot and cold side dishes and ice cream round out the menu, but the main attraction is obviously the sushi that this business claims to be the palace of. And like a virgin, your very first time here will be the most memorable, but expect diminishing returns on subsequent visits. Lamentably, the menu has not changed in over a decade(since opening) and both service and food quality have been hit-or-miss. During dinner hours, the staff is often overwhelmed and the sushi preparers struggle to keep up with the influx of massive AYCE orders – resulting in long wait times and raw fish that is perhaps not so fresh or well-constructed or safe to eat by the time it gets to your table. Parties with members ordering off the a la carte menu while everyone else in the same party opting for AYCE is understandably frowned upon, but I remember a friend who was able to order a bowl of udon while the rest of us were finishing stuffing our faces only because she arrived very late and asked the server nicely. The only items on the a la carte menu not having any overlap with the AYCE menu appear to be the udon, teriyaki and katsu dishes, but these are basically run-of-the-mill Americanized versions that exist for people too scared or too allergic to eat raw fish. And in case words like«Philadelphia roll» have not already tipped you off, absolutely nothing on the menu here is remotely close to authentic.(For the real deal, execute a Unilocal search for«sushi» or «sashimi» anywhere in Japan.) Other observations: –Sushi Palace is tucked away in a corner behind the Stop & Shop and shares the same parking lot. Expect a lot of speed bumps and pedestrians with shopping carts. –Some of the tables are wobbly. The floors are sometimes wet or sticky.(Seriously, who orders Diet Coke to go with sushi?) –The restrooms are in the alcove behind the cash register. –The table napkins here are luxuriously thick – like tampon-thick.

Based on my most recent experience here, I feel that the quality of the food and service have both gone down. Having been a repeat customer for many years, I was pretty sad to have moved to an area that was too far to be a regular here anymore. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to come to Sushi Palace, so I was super excited to come back here after several months. Unfortunately, I was disappointed throughout my meal there, and it saddens me even more now to say that I might not be so super excited to come here anymore. I called in to make a reservation for 7 people an hour before getting there, and while skeptical as to whether they would take such a short notice reservation, the woman on the phone seemed nice and complied. When we got there, I told someone at the front that we had a reservation, and he said to hold on a moment and seemed to go and see what the table situation was. He never returned. So after a bit, I asked another woman. She did the same. Had to ask a third time before we were finally seated. We placed our order via the paper slips they gave us, as usual, and waited a bit for our food. It didn’t take too long to start coming out, but it came out oddly separated and in a weird order. As in some of our sushi came out first before the apps… and then a bit later some of our apps came out… and then a bit later, some of our other apps and miso soups… and then a bit later, the rest of the sushi. Even though we ordered all of it together… so strange. Also, one of the orders of fried calamari we got looked like it was half eaten… I’m pretty sure it wasn’t actually eaten(hopefully), but it sure looked like it and I would have thought they’d be a bit more conscious of the presentation of their food. Anyway, then they came by with an order of fried tofu that we didn’t order and asked us if it was ours… No… Then later, we placed another order for some sushi and sashimi. They missed part of our order, so we asked one of the servers about it. She then came out with the order, but not with the amount we ordered. They also were not consistent at all about refilling our waters/teas — which is fine, they’re busy. But when we asked for more water, it didn’t come. And then asked again, someone different this time, again didn’t come. Finally, after quite a while, we asked a THIRD time, the same girl that we asked the first time, and she finally brought it out and apologized. So basicallyyyy… the service was very odd and disorganized and mildly frustrating. The food was not prepared as well as it used to be either. The rice on the rolls is a little more all over the place, and I’m not sure if it might’ve been because it wasn’t as fresh, but the taste just wasn’t as good in general. Tldr; they need to step up their game both food and service wise. I don’t know what happened in the past few months here, but I don’t like it. Disappointment. Third star is ’cause my sushi craving was still satisfyingly fulfilled and also… for old times sake.

GREATAYCESPOT! As a college student I can seriously appreciate the $ 20pp price tag this place has. It’s BYOB which is great. The only issue I had was that they closed for an hour and a half(preparing for dinner) and I didn’t see that posted anywhere on their website, only on their front door, so I arrived starved and had to wait an extra 40 minutes to get in. Luckily this place is in a plaza so I just browsed around. The place is small and clean. The food looked great and the waitstaff were competent. I don’t think this place was spectacular or extravagant by any means but It’s a nice quiet place where you can eat to your hearts content, aren’t going to be disturbed by the noise or the wait to get in and be seated and served. Will definitely be back. Side note, you may want to stay away from their specialty rolls, i found them to be incredibly dry and hard to swallow. The Sashimi looked great and so did everything else Great bang for your buck

Total came out to be about $ 56 for 2 people. Food isn’t fresh. The bbq squid was good. The spicy seaweed salad was soggy, as was the kani salad. They were supposed to have crunchy bits in it, but since they prepare it ahead of time everything gets soggy and mushy and just not good. The appetizers are pretty bad too. They also charge you extra if you don’t finish your sushi. I give this place a boooo! Probably won’t be back.

yezzzzzz sushi palace, low and behold, all you can eat sushi! There’s not much to say besides the fact that this is probably one the better AYCE sushi places. Most of the fish is fresh, sometimes certain fishes aren’t as fresh as i’d like but it’s AYCE so what do you expect? I love the nigiri, the rolls, appetizers, ice cream, etc. You can’t go wrong with this place, always come with an empty stomach! Service here is good, though some workers can’t understand you. When it’s busy, service can be really slow and food comes out even slower, but they’re so popular and AYCE is always popular! The price is pretty good, $ 23-$ 26 depending on when you come. I’ll keep coming back, you guys don’t know how many times I’ve been here and I don’t even live here haha.

Was excited to see the list to order from when I first sat down. There’s a pretty good selection of hot food and sushi/sashimi to order from. The service was pretty good and food came at an average pace. However, as others mentioned, they do tend to miss a few pieces of your order. Just annoying since you have to ask about it since you don’t want it to come later if you try ordering another portion. The sushi wasn’t as fresh as I’d like, but understandable for an all you can eat sushi place. I’ve been to better places, but if this is close to you, I’d say give it a try. Not too bad.

Sushi palace and their sushi is not bad(in terms of freshness) and hits the spot. There are multiple locations around New Jersey, and I went to four of them. I can definitely say that the four are extremely different in quality and service. A reoccurring event at this particular Sushi Palace location is how they«forget» or ignore a huge chunk of your order. This happens at the other locations also, but never to the extent that this location does it. It’s happened to me when I came here with 2 people, 5 people, 8 people– every single time. This is super frustrating since you have to reorder and wait for a very long time, after which you may not even get all the things you reordered AGAIN. We confronted the waitress in why this was happening and she became speechless, blinked a few times, and literally just walked away. I’ve never seen service like this before– but at least this confrontation made a great conversation. Overall, this place isn’t bad in terms of food, but be prepared to reorder items over and over again.

All you can eat sushi restaurant. As you can imagine from the restaurant’s «theme: all you can eat,» the quality of their foods is … not so great. Although Sushi palace would be a great choice if you prefer quantity over quality, if you are a small eater, or values quality over quantity, this place is not for you. The sashimi pieces are very small, and aren’t even fresh. Also their cooked dishes-including teriyaki plates are not good. Their rolls are pretty okay, but only during the first round. What do I mean by first round? Well, since it is a all you can eat restaurant, after getting your first round of rolls, you are obviously gonna order another round/plates. The second time you order, the quality of your rolls are gonna drop(the percentage of the rice within your roll is gonna increase to about 50%. The more you order, the more rice that they are gonna stack…(trying to make you full so you wouldn’t order more) However I do like the idea that it is all you can eat, but, in terms of the food’s quality, 2 stars.

Because my in-laws are gluttons for punishment, they wanted to give Sushi Palace another try. Same as last time, they refused to seat a party of five in a table that is adequately sized, instead insisting that we needed to squeeze into a table for four. This is when 75% of the restaurant was empty during prime dining hours. They essentially refused to seat my in-laws and the host literally left them to stand in the middle of the restaurant with no communication while he attends to «other reservations». By the way, no one else came into the restaurant while this took place. There was no explanation why we couldn’t be seated with adequately space when more than half of the restaurant was empty. The whole seating issue wasn’t a big deal to me, personally, but I was appalled by how they handled customer concerns — by basically ignoring them. They could have done a number of things — take an extra minute to explain, apologized, whatever… but nothing. Given this and other Unilocaler’s experiences here, I am convinced this place has some of the coldest, most passive-aggressive people working in Middlesex County. Needless to say, we didn’t even bother eating here this time.

3 stars for a hit or miss experience at top dollar. Good news is that they extended their restaurant so you’ll likely get a seat no matter the night. Service is overall not bad for only 2 – 3 workers service each half of the restaurant. Sushi is average to small size as well as sashimi. Reason for 3 stars is that sometimes the sashimi looks old(salmon was dark) and sushi tasted like it was made earlier in the day. Ice cream is good though! Overall, I’ll come back with friends on the rare occasion but I’d rather pay at another sushi place for better quality sushi.

Sushi Palace seems to be a pretty popular spot for AYCE. My boyfriend and I came in on a Saturday at around 2:30 and the place was filled. Luckily, we only had to wait about 10 minutes. Upon his recommendation, we skipped the cooked foods. He’s been here before and said they weren’t good. Which is okay — I wasn’t there for any of that teriyaki nonsense anyway — I was purely interested in the sashimi, which tasted fresh. My favorite was the white tuna but you should know — the size of a piece of their white tuna sashimi is about half the size of a regular piece so if you’re going to order this, you might want to order double. The rolls are just alright — I would probably skip these because they’ll only fill you up quickly anyway. Tip — they don’t have tuna sashimi. I mistook ‘albacore’ for tuna but really, it was just a mysterious piece of fish seasoned with A LOT of pepper. This place is kind of out of the way but if I were ever in the area for some reason, I’ll deffo be back when that sushi craving hits(which is pretty often)!

Awesome place to get your sushi fix for a good price! I live in VA, but have been dreaming of this place since I came here once several years ago. I don’t think I’ve ever been to another sushi buffet with unlimited sashimi that is also quality and fresh! So I was passing through NJ and just had to stop by. I recommend the salmon, white tuna, and red snapper sashimi. I’m not a fan of mackerel or albacore, but they also have other choices, too. Specialty rolls were pretty good. I wouldn’t say amazing, but who cares because I go for mostly sashimi instead :) I can’t remember exactly which ones I got, but they were all pretty good except for the Butterfly roll. I ordered the Butterfly roll because it has lobster, but it is covered with a super sweet mango syrup, which totally doesn’t match the flavor. It tastes like mango syrup you would put in smoothies… don’t recommend. DO get the spicy seaweed salad. Yum! It’s got crunchy flakes(MM!), crab pieces(imitation, I believe), and a little more of a creamy texture than regular seaweed salad. Do also get the green tea ice cream for dessert!

All you can eat for $ 25?! Count me in! I swear, I have never eaten so much sushi in my life before. On the bright side, I’m still not sick of it! Basically, you order an unlimited amount of rolls, sashimi, individual pieces, kitchen items, and dessert. The food is average but the deal makes it worth it. I would definitely come here again! You can order in multiple rounds. Service is meh. It’s not that great. The servers kept forgetting about us(group of 20 people) but at the same time they were rather busy.
