Terrible. We made reservations for 830 pm for a party of 25. And we showed up on time. We did not sit down until nearly 10pm. Why should a reservation even be made by this point?. The hostess was apologetic but everyone seemed so helpless to find us a table. The food was pretty good but the overall satisfaction was very poor. Please be careful when hosting a large party.

Lunch says the beef julienne comes with mushrooms, but if you order it as part of the lunch duet, you don’t get mushrooms. What a scam. Asked for a side of mushrooms and was charged 6.50. Absolutely ridiculous. A lunch is only 12.25 with the mushrooms! We are frequent customers, but will not be returning. Management sucks and is not willing to help at all. Congratulations Benihana, you lost my business over your poor management and the fact that you weren’t making any attempts to work with the customer. You lost all of my future business over 6.50.

Went on Friday, waitress was newer, order was incorrectly provided. Which took a couple of times to remediate which was annoying. Also the hibachi chef cooked everything one by one which took forever to get each piece of food. You shouldn’t have to wait 10 minutes between getting rice and having meat all the way at the end. Atmosphere is almost chain-food like, it’s just not very inviting beyond the entry, people are running around like mad to serve everyone. It’s a quantity over quality experience. My biggest issue with this restaurant is the ala carte menu for hibachi. Seriously it’s hibachi, you have to pay EXTRA for fried rice. How dumb is that. You pay $ 25 for chicken, some veggies, 3 app shrimp, and miso soup but if you want the chef to give you some fried rice, pay an extra $ 4. I also asked for garlic on my rice and chicken, they just smothered it with garlic butter, it’s not the same! What restaurant doesn’t have garlic? Just a waste. If you want real Hibachi go to Imperial 46 or Sho-Gun or Arirang, i’ve had a much better experience. I won’t be going back.

Very poor service and the dish-ware was dirty. I don’t know if it was due to Valentines Day but I asked the waitress to return my dirty plate for a clean one and she brought back another dirty plate. The chef arrives at our table and repeats the table order. I ordered the Trio with chicken fried rice for an extra 3 – 4 dollars. The chef puts rice on my plate without the chicken. Had to tell him twice. Needless to say by the time I got the chicken my rice was cold. To add more insult to injury, I ordered a glass of wine and the glass was discussing with lipstick and white soot on the glass. I’m done! Never will I return to this restaurant.

Use to come here a lot as a kid so was pretty excited when my friend wanted to take me there for my bday. The food was pretty good, though they put on a lot of extra charges without telling you that it’s not included(like 14 $ charges, not .50). The chef was actually super disappointing and boring… Never introduced himself, set the onion volcano and that was it. None of the fancy showmanship which, honestly? That’s part of the price with hibachi. It’s a show and food restaurant. I feel like I was just at any Japanese American restaurant and the chef just happened to be cooking by us. He wouldn’t rly interact with us, even when we tried. It was my friends first time there and at hibachi so he was looking at me like why do you like places like this? Super sad. We also had to remind the staff after everything about the ice cream included in our meals. They never asked and we’re almost confused even though it says 6 course including ice cream right in the menu description. We had a new guy so that may have contributed to some of it… But he was honestly trying and has nothing to do with the lack luster cooking experience. Kind of a flop of a birthday, definitely didn’t get my monies worth, sad since I live nearby that I’ll probably not go back, goodbye childhood memories. Want hibachi? Arirang isn’t far and has a much more fun experience. :/

The food! THEFOOD!!! it’s amazing. I ate enough for like 4 people. And i still wanted more! It’s great how they prepare it in front of you and make a whole show of it. I love bringing visitors here to show them this great spectacular show. Their fried rice is divine! Also, whatever ginger dressing they put on their salad is magical. The staff is friendly and helpful! Most of the time there is a wait to be seated, but it is well worth it! I do believe they’ve recently changed their menu, but it is mostly the same dishes, just organized different. It’s pricy, but worth it!

Was back again last night. The food is good. If you have a loud table the chef will play up to it. Otherwise they do their standard routine. As I said with my checkin last time when there is no cooking being done around you the hibachi room smells like dirty carpet. It was really off putting-honestly I don’t know how the wait staff or other workers don’t notice it when they come in for their shifts. I don’t think I’ll return again for that reason. Best part is the chicken fried rice and ginger sauce which I slather on everything!

Family of ten. Three highchairs needed for three toddlers please. When we arrived at the table at 5:10pm, two highchairs(not three) were randomly placed around the table. We had to request a third highchair and then reorganize the seating. Not having a chance to glance at the menu, I asked the server for tempura I’ve had in the past. With salmon and cream cheese, I said. –blank stare– I quickly glanced down and(incorrectly) ordered a Philadelphia roll. Because I’m unable to eat raw fish at the moment, I was unable to eat the Philadelphia roll. I told the server I had mistakenly ordered the Philadelphia roll instead of the tempura Las Vegas roll(similar ingredients, just tempora style). She returned about five minutes later and asked, «Did you want to order a Las Vegas Roll?» Ummm… YES. the Las Vegas roll arrived after I had rice on my plate and I was charged for both rolls. The chicken fried rice barely had any chicken in it yet the least expensive ingredient, onion, was plentiful. The timing of the meal was totally off. Lastly, since when did Benihana start charging extra for fried rice? The biggest disappointment was drink refills(6 waters and one coke) that came literally 20 minutes after our first of three requests. Two different managers radioed staff to no avail but neither actually went to get the refills themselves. They just stood around watching us dehydrate. Managers need to lead from the front!

I was a little scared to come here from the reviews so we did the hibachi. I didn’t want any sushi or fish based on their less than fresh reviews. We had edamame. It was as expected. And you know you can’t get that wrong. Go with the steak hibachi rice and noodles. Was decent. Steak was cold but noodles were good and rice had so much garlic but at least there was flavor.

I am reluctantly giving this place 1 star. I came here because my girlfriend loves this place and I wanted to make her happy. Our waiter Fenn physically cooked are food but was not here mentally. Hibachi has an entertainment value to it however our cook put in NO effort! Ordered steak and scallops not steak and burnt scallops. As I sit here writing this I am waiting for the manager to make a decision on how to rectify this.

Ok ! Food just fine ! Nothing very special ! Service is fine, the chef put too much soy sauce on the dishes, not only the fried rice, the noodle too ! ( chef Rong) needs to be improved ! They should not put a big fan by the entrance, because the safety reason for the kids ! The bathroom is pretty clean, good to see that ! Sushi is pretty good here ! You rather eat the sushi here !

Oh Benihana. I’d like to think better of you, but something always misses the mark. Too high prices for mediocre food, waits for already empty tables, and never friendly(though fairly prompt) service all work against you. I’ve been to this Benihana many times both at the hibachi tables and at the regular restaurant side. More often than not, you will need to wait 30 – 60 mins to be seated. The hibachi area is a popular destination for large groups of birthday celebrators especially on weekends. The hibachi dinner meals are the best bang for your buck(including a brothy onion soup, small salad, hibachi shrimp, veggies, fried rice, and then entrée of meat, chicken, fish or additional veggies). A la carte orders are all steep mostly $ 28 – 32 for entrees that are just ok. Last night I had a spicy salmon sushi roll for about $ 8. It was fine, but basically the same roll I could have at a sushi house for $ 4. We did eat here because my girlfriends wanted the Volcano roll. Basically a Philly roll(smoked salmon and cream cheese) deep fried with a slice of jalapeño on top. No doubt they were good, but for $ 13 they should be. Most rolls do feature some sort of cooked or fried element now that I think of it. Service has never had smiles here. Whether at the hibachi or general seating, servers are clipped, short, and at times obviously unimpressed with requests(lady we just wanted plain fried rice for a side when we couldn’t eat meat!). Still rather efficient though. Hibachi chefs are something of a performance which is fun, but I feel like they are all secretly miserable. I’d recommend going elsewhere, but somehow this place has consistent business. You’re better served finding a local restaurant with more authentic, better tasting foods at better prices. Plus, you smell like fried stuff when you leave — not cute for going out after.
