Can not go wrong here ever. Never had a bad experience in 20 yrs. If you want a sub done right, and for a great price as well then eat here. Anything tuna, turkey, or roast beef is my favorite to make one from.

Here I am again all over this place. I don’t think there is anything better than tastees. I know there is another one down south jersey but I haven’t been to that location yet.

Made a special trip and they were out of bread. How do you run out of bread? So I wasted my time because someone did not do their job. Bad management

Breaks my heart to say this, but Tastee is not the Tastee of my youth. South Edison resident for over 40 years and back in the day you got every cent you paid for. Today the subs are still the same size but with much less of the good stuff inside. That said, its a bigger sub but a bigger bread sub…

Great sandwich. I had the 6″ roast beef sub. It was delicious. Service was fast. I would definitely come back when I am up here. Greta job.

Tastee Subs is a well-known Central Jersey hotspot for all. If you haven’t checked it out yet you have not been living up to the potential of a Central Jersey resident. It is in fact, Obama’s favorite sandwich shop and they have a real photo of him serving behind the counter here. Parking is competitive because the building is tiny and in a lot with barely 15 spots. Bring company to help you out. The classic subs are all available, with a variety of different turkey(smoked, honey, classic) and deli meats and tuna fish. The sandwiches are huge. Pro Tip: Get a side cup of the spicy tomato dressing to fix up your sando. The toppings are basic but so fresh and the bread(white or whole grain) is baked the same day. Complete your meal with a soda, chips, or homemade macaroni or potato salad. Get take out because there are only a few tables.

Got a sub to go from here. The Italian no tomato I think. Well I will say this… Come hungry cuz these things are HUGE! We’re talking like 18 inches or something. It came loaded with delicious meats and cheese and I probably ate half the sub in 5 minutes it was that good. I definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area and are craving a nice sub… A million times better than Subway.

The Best Sub Shop ever. All the cold cuts are very fresh and are sliced when you order so they are never dry like Subway. They bread is perfect being soft but not too soft. They give the perfect amount with meat, lettuce, portions. I always order oil, vinegar, mayo, salt and pepper and they always put the right amount so the mixture is so tasty without make the sandwich soggy and over saturated. I recommend the turkey subsand roast beef subs. I also love the pepperoni sub which is not too salty which I order with mayo and hot Italian pepper sauce. They are very fast as well as long lines disappear quickly.

The best subs in NJ, the busy business is proof! If there is a very long line it’s always worth the wait!

A friend of mine came over with subs from Tastee sub. Unfortunately they have gone from good quality to very poor quality. The bread was not crisp. The meat was not only inferior quality, but barely covered the bread. The cheese was tasteless. I really couldn’t eat the sandwich.

Just starting working in Edison Nj, I never heard of tastee subs until a couple of local coworkers of mine told me about them. Hands down the best cold sub I’ve eaten in my life. Yes ! That damn delicious. $ 10 got me a whole 2 foot long super sub.

Simple and delicious is how I would describe this place. I just wish they sliced the meat thinner, but I’m sure they would if I asked next time. Ask for extra meat because it’s bullshit how little they give you.

This is one of the best place to get classic style sandwiches. Few varieties but whatever they have are good quality. Taste is up to mark and service is fast. If you have a reason not to get your cheese get cut on the same cutter used for meat don’t visit. The only reason I would give 4 star is because I see variation in price for same sandwiches. I tried various cashier and prices always varies by few cents for the same size, cheese and type of sandwich. Sitting place is quite small but could be use. Although I believe most people would prefer carry out.

I’m a vegetarian. The place has no special sauce to make it unique; Only thing i suppose would be is bread. Somewhat tasted like a Jimmy John’s sandwich. Toppings were just Tomato, Lettuce, and Onions. Place was busy even at @2p. The tables were dirty, so chose not to take out instead. The cheese slicer is also used for meat slicing(heads up for you vegetarians).

Its sooooo delicious. We stopped by on away back home from the beach, the service is fast, the sub was so good, not like any ordinary sub shop! My wife had the Italian sub and I had the tuna and everything was delicious. The bread tasted fresh. Definitely going to go before the beach next time.

This seems to be a great local sub-shop which touts that Obama has been there. It offers very limited variety but what they do offer is delicious my friends and I all got different subs but they were all good and very reasonable! If you need a quick bite that will fill you up for the whole day on the cheap this is you spot!

This was not my first time going here. This is a very solid traditional sandwich shop. This time I went with the tuna with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, oil and vinegar(Around $ 8 I believe for a whole). The bread was great like usual, not too soft or hard. The tuna was very light and not too much mayonnaise, which can kill the sandwich completely. All the ingredients were fresh. There is not too much wrong with this place. Will I go back? No doubt.

Giant subs for a small price tag. What’s not to love about that? Tastee Subs are something that you should have at least once in your life. I’d almost say it’s sort of a right of passage if you live in Central Jerz. Otherwise, you might as well renounce your NJ citizenship. Anyway, let’s get to the subs. They are extremely cheap, large, and packed w/meat. You definitely get a great bang for your buck here. With that being said, I can’t say that they are the best subs I’ve ever had as I prefer a bread with a harder texture. Still the quality of meat is great and even a half a sub could pass as a whole sub at most other places. Highly recommend calling ahead and picking up. Taste what everyone else is talking about. There is surely no other ‘sub’stitute out there.

Lets just say they call themselves Tastee Sub for a reason! Everything is fresh. Blimpie and Subway is in no league here. This place has the best sub in NJ. They are a small shop and there are some tables. The place is busy especially weekends and on NFL, NBA game day. There is a parking lot but it does get busy at times. Next time I’m in town, I’m stopping by again.
