Wow the food was great! I had the salmon with fresh pesto with rice. I’m not a big fan of rice but it was amazing. My husband ordered the beef stroganoff. He forgot to ask if it had onions, he hates them, it had onions. So he got it to go for me and ordered a hamburger. Im not a huge fan of beef stroganoff but I have to say it was delicious. I would have to agree with others on the slow service.

LOVE the Edison! We have company lunches there a few times each year and it’s always an awesome experience. Great people, food, and atmosphere. Fried pickles and shuffleboard? Who could ask for anything more.

Tried to figure out a reason NOT to give it 5 stars, but the only drawback is location. Nestled in a remote hamlet of foodie establishments, in the middle of NoWhere. Fourteen(14) beers on tap! An excellent amber. Soup and salad for $ 7.95 lunch. Asian pork soup fresh, spicy, delicious. Salad with homemade real blue cheese, fresh and invigorating. Live entertainment on appropriate nights. Truly awesome silicone-coated expert shuffleboard tables. Just the right amount of darkness and light. Worth a bit of a drive, if you’re close.

Wow! I love this little old saloon in «downtown» Edison. I went with four people and we each had something different. I had the beef stew and a cheeseburger. The stew was completely out-of-this-world-delicious and the cheeseburger was great, too. The Old Edison has a large selection of beers — any local, and fresh home-made food. If you’re in the area, definitely stop in for a drink and some grub. Large outdoor patio, live music, large bar, large dining room, shuffle board tables, great décor.

S L O W… Service! Waitresses could care less if you need anything! We’ve been there twice in the past couple of weeks. Thought maybe the first time was an off week short of help… Tonight there was plenty of help but the same slow service… Food is ok! We won’t be back for awhile!

My boyfriend and I went here and sat in the beer garden. Which is beautiful and grassy. It’s perfect. My boyfriend had the Bow Burger which he said was the best burger he’s had in his life. Everything was fresh. The crab cakes delicious. I had the ribeye which was so good except very charred on the outside. I ate most of it but a few bites off the end I just couldn’t do the charred taste! I figure it’s not usually like that and cop it up to be an accident. The drinks were great. Had a nice beer selection on tap and the servers were very friendly!

Live 4 miles from this restaurant, have given them 4 tries and every time the food is awful, service sucked and nobody offers to do anything about it! We will never visit this establishment again. Used to frequent this place with the previous owner and it was fantastic! Not so much.

The black bean burger is highly recommended. It is also good as a gourmet burger. They feature Blau oysters. The best oysters is the region! They also featured shuffle board.

Nice tap list, good service, & outdoor beer garden. No oysters on the bar menu… wth? Bar menu even says«Eat Oysters.» Ordered the Oyster Scatter. was good, not amazing & side condiments(tartar & salsa) were served on the same plate & were larger than the 6 oysters. Reminder, is a tavern!

As always an amazing burger! This place just keeps putting out high quality food at modest pricing. The burger has great flavor and is cooked to perfection. Meat has great flavor. The veggies are fresh and flavorful and the bun is perfect. Fry’s are hot and crispy. Great service! Love this place.

Stopped here on our bike ride to Samish Island. Great atmosphere of ‘old timey tavern’. Absolutely FABULOUS selection of beers on tap. My friend had the crab cake hamburger & I had the oyster burger. Since oysters are their ‘specialty’ I was a little disappointed in my burger. For an EXCELLENT oyster burger see my review of ‘The Oyster & Thistle’ in La Conner. My other friend had the chicken salad which she deemed very good. French fries were almost on the horrible side. Very dry but dunked in tarter sauce them edible to a hungry bike rider. Stop for a beer but choose wisely from the menu.

I must say that when I looked at the outside of The Old Edison, I was definitely against going in… but I had a gift certificate and decided to go ahead and give it a try. Although it’s a dive, it is a dive that has good food. It’s a kicked back bar with hand formed burgers with fresh ingredients. I had a lamb burger, my husband had their«Gourmet Burger». Each were delish! The lamb burger had so much Feta on it that it made a mess, but it was a fun mess to eat. My hubby’s onions were grilled in bourbon, the hand formed patty extended well past the fresh bun, and the fries were crisp. Being a bar, there is also a good variety of beer. I had a Manny’s and hubby had a Mac & Jack. So, if you’re ever passing by, give it a try… you’ll be happy if you like burgers.

Not sure why the rave about this place… but I realized that most places in this town are rated high… Pros? –Service was friendly –Can see the kitchen –Good blue cheese dressing Cons? –Clams were chewy –Were out of all things oyster when I went… kinda defeated the purpose of coming here –The burger was definitely not done the way it was ordered

Deep fried pickles. OMG. Service is great! They keep the coffee coming. We are sitting here now on the wifi, computers open, drinking coffee and have basically moved in. And nobody seems to mind. I don’t know if that would be different if it was really busy but the place seems really great so far and I am glad we came.

Food is great! My husband is fond of the lamb burger & i love to try whatever the special is that night. Friendly & attentive service. We try to go in when the piano player is there. The live music is always a lot of fun. Not your average Tavern food. Sorry but no one under 21 allowed. Cute town. A fun destination.

Saw a great band here and tried the fried oysters. The music, oysters, staff and saloon atmosphere were all awesome. Apparently they have live music every Saturday and Sunday(and maybe other days, too) and there are some amazing local musicians in the Bow/Edison/LaConner area so I will surely be back to see some more shows.

In one place on Unilocal this is listed as The Old Edison Inn, and another as the Old Edison Tavern. I’m going with the«Inn» as it appears to be the official name. Three friends and I stopped by here for a couple of beers and dinner. It was universally agreed that the food was excellent, and the beer was pretty good, but the service was poor. I came in after everybody else, and had already eaten, so I just had a beer. My friends sampled the oyster and the ahi sliders, along with a Caesar salad, and said the meal was great! However, it was spread over three hours, and not just because the conversation kept us there. It was also because there was a long, long gap between orders and delivery. A beer might come 20 minutes after we had ordered it. The fried potatoes I ordered never arrived. We were seated outside, so we thought it might be because the place was very busy, but any crowd inside had dispersed when we checked the bar. By the way, as one reviewer mentioned, the outdoor seating is very much like your friend’s backyard. So yes, the food is very good. Four stars for that, minus two stars for the service.

Love this place… Small town, country at it’s best. You feel comfortable as soon as you walk in with both employees and patrons being very welcoming and friendly, really good music, great food… not your typical bar food and a very comfortable atmosphere. They work hard to support local farmers, bakers, etc. and the result is great. The oysters were amazing and I don’t usually eat oysters. Yum! I can’t wait to try it in the summer when the beer garden is open! P. S. It is a bar, so no kids.

The only direct competition with the Longhorn Saloon which is just up the street. Edison Inn has the oysters going on if you like oysters. The outdoor seating is akin to hanging out in your friend’s fenced backyard.
