Ok, I can’t say much about my turkey burger, but… loved the fried pickles(spicy), green chili fries, and margaritas(all flavors)! The kids loved the huge do-it-yourself s’mores dessert! We went with a large party after a baseball game and the staff handled our high maintenance crowd beautifully.

I was in town for business a few weeks ago and really wanted beer and a burger. Stopped by Flatire after some colleagues recommended it. I’m usually not picky with my burgers. I don’t want interesting topping combinations, new types of «gourmet burgers» or anything fancy. Just give me good quality ingredients, a solid patty, and I’m sold. I’ll praise the cook who cooks a decent burger. Unfortunately, this was the worst burger I’ve ever eaten(outside of fast food of course). The meat was seasoned very strangely and did not taste very good. It was dry and overcooked(I asked for medium, go well done), the ingredients were not fresh(biggest offenders were the soggy tomatoes), and the bread was bland and tasteless. The fries were salted very aggressively and didn’t taste any better when I traded for lightly salted fries. I’ll note that I also tried my colleague’s burgers and the result was the same. Saving graces: Great service. I wish I remembered my server’s name. He was fantastic. Cheap. Surprisingly good chips and salsa. Cool atmosphere.

My new favorite place in Edmond to hangout! The prices here cannot be beat. Things I love include: Watermelon margaritas, chicken nachos, chicken fingers and the flatire burger. So nice to also have a patio to sit on during warm nights.

Nice place for a burger and a beer. Burger was cooked well and plenty of options. First time putting pimento cheese on a burger. It was great, I will try that at home too.

I’ve been a regular here lately, and haven’t been too disappointed… So I keep coming back. The last few times we’ve honestly come here just to sit outside and have a few drinks. However, one pet peeve of mine is that this restaurant has a great two-story outdoor patio. Over all the years that I’ve come here, I have never been on the second floor. They always close it off, which means you’re either stuck on the first floor in total shade or it’s full and you can’t sit outside. So that’s always a bummer to me. Food wise, every single burger I’ve ever had here is good. I have even done a «make your own» with a turkey patty, and it was REALLY good. I’ve had their chips, and the regular fries; I can’t complain about either one! Fish tacos were good too, but my favorite thing about this place are the Smore’s. I always love a good dessert, and this is just a fun one to eat!

Went here last weekend with some friends and it was great. The service was a bit slow but we were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. I got the mushroom, grilled onion, and goat cheese burger and it was great! Super messy but great. The homemade potato chips were awesome as well. They have a pretty good beer selection as well. My boyfriend got the guacamole burger and he really enjoyed it. The green chile fries were tasty too.

Damn you Oklahoma and your grilled onions and great cheeseburgers! While this probably isn’t the best burger you’ll ever have, it’s damn good. Service was excellent, granted it was a slow time of day. My only complaint is when places charge separately for fries. Always feels like they are trying to trick you on their pricing. All in all though, great burger, good service and average pricing. Can’t wait to come back and try a different burger!

Flatire burger is alright for take out. The service is hit or miss dining in and the ambience is meh so there is little draw to stick around. I like most of the burgers. I don’t like any of their appetizers. I like the floats, and the s’mores are fun. I did not like the grilled cheese burger or any of the tacos. Their fries are pretty good. Lately I have been a fan of the make your own burger(they call it Trick Out Your Burger). The beef patties are just okay, and the buns are just okay. It is better than fast food, but a little less delicious and not as good of quality as The Garage or the other nearby establishments.

I love the concept and the menu. Sometimes it’s crazy busy, and other times, it’s not so bad. But every time, it is yummy! The burgers with fried onions, and the fried pickles appetizer are our go-to orders. The staff is always friendly, too. It’s across the street from UCO, so just know that there will be college students around. Most are nice, but some are still kids who don’t get the way life works yet. It is what it is. Flatire serves good burgers at good prices. Do not pass up the fried pickles though!

The service was terrible. We got our drinks right away but after 15 minutes our server hadn’t returned to take our food order — we had to flag him down and tell him we were ready. My dad also had to ask for a water twice before the server actually brought it. They were not that busy, he was just really forgetful and inattentive. The food was average: the blackened ahi on my salad was neither blackened not spicy as I’d expect. Not sure I’ll be back.

Great burgers. Service is friendly. Fun atmosphere. We always enjoy it! Prices are reasonable but you have to add fries as a side if you want them. I had fish and chips and the chipotle tartar sauce was really daughter had the grilled cheese burger. It was delicious.

Great burger joint just next to University of Central Oklahoma, in EDMOND. Their burgers are mouthwatering. My son and I always share the fries with bacon and ranch. Very good.

I really want to love this place. But for now, I like it a lot. Nutritional info would be a HUGE plus but I am sure they would lose some business from anyone who is attempting to keep their weight under control. The food is enjoyable. The atmosphere is decent. At times people are VERYLOUD and drunk. Aside that, it is not a bad place for a burger or fish n chips. The tacos look pretty good too. Salsa is meh. Chips n Queso is good but a bit overpriced. Go there when they have $ 1 off discounts, it is worth taking the extra buck off on sides. Can’t wait to try their smores when the winter months kick into high gear. Rootbeer floats are 99% ice cream and nobody brought a refill of rootbeer for a long, long time.

Decently priced beer selection and super speedy service! Homemade chips were extra yummy. Burger came out a little dry for my taste; I’m a pink in the middle meat eater and burgers were absolutely well done. Cheap, fast and easy! Probably not my top 3 burger joints in OKC but for Edmond it’s nice to see a cool spot with beers and TV’s that doesn’t have that chain restaurant vibe. Oh AND the parking lot is a hot mess danger zone … Beware!

Okay so I’m updating this because I decided to give them a second try. Same situation, getting food to go. I didn’t wait more than ten minutes. The food was great. And the service was awesome. The guy behind the bar(Michael) is fantastic. Friendly, fast, and super courteous. All in all, I was pleased with this experience. Personally, I think the last time was a fit of bad luck. I’ll be eating at flat tire again in the future.

I had the mac and cheese burger, minus the onions and jalapeños, add mushrooms with a side of homemade chips. I’ll break it down. Burger: meat was greasy and bland. Like, zero flavor. Mac and cheese: I use that term loosely because it was naked, oily noodles with a slice of American cheese on top. No thank you. Mushrooms: didn’t have enough to judge flavor. Bacon: mostly fat. Needed trimming and seasoning. Chips: bland and dry How I’d fix it: Burger: add seasoned salt at least when cooking it. Anything. Mac and cheese and bacon: use cheddar, crumble up bacon and fry into a patty with a seasoned batter. Way more flavorful. Chips: cook them with seasoned salt on them and serve with a sauce, like a garlic aioli.

I’m almost never in Edmond, but when I am, I try to have a burger at Flatire. It’s a neat little restaurant with a decent beer selection and some really tasty burgers. I’ve been a couple of times now and have had different burgers on each visit. On my last visit, I had their Hickory BBQ burger and I was quite impressed with not only its taste, but its consistency. I expected the burger to be a little soggy, considering it was going to have BBQ sauce on it, but to my surprise… the bread held up to the BBQ sauce quite nicely. My burger never turned into a pile of soft bread, BBQ sauce, and meat. I also recommend trying some of their classic burgers that include Flatire’s special sauce. The only comparison I can make to their sauce is the sauce used by In-N-Out burger. It’s not as good as In-N-Out, but it’s damn good, nonetheless. Flatire has a nice patio, where one can enjoy a beer and a burger.(I actually recommend eating on the patio, weather permitting.) The service has always been extremely nice and the prices are fair. I paid around $ 11 for a burger and fries. I’m a fan of this place and think it’s definitely worth a visit.
