The service was really good. The people were friendly, but the food just isn’t very tasty. If you are going to put chili con carne on a chimi, it doesn’t need to come from a can. Just not very good.

Service is good however the food is not too impressive. It kind of reminds my of TV dinner Mexican food. I would swear the enchilada sauce was from a can. We have been there a few times but have found a much better place to eat Mexican food.

Just about ordered a meal here tonight. The reason I gave it three stars is because I did not think it was fair since I did not try an entrée. It is called La SALSA. The salsa is sub par(in my opinion). It honestly tasted like it was out of a jar. I would not have cared to much if it was not named after SALSA. They do not serve margaritas. Mexican food places should have great salsa and margaritas. I chose to leave and pay for the chips. The staff was very friendly. I am sure if they read this they will make the appropriate changes and make this a great Mexican food restaurant. Give them a chance if you are feeling lucky!

Have been a few times with the girls from work. So far everything is really really good. Fairly quick at the lunch rush.

I’m so full… Ugh, why did I eat sooo much. Oh, that’s right. I ate so much because it was really really good! La Salsa is trying to pass itself off as an Okie-Mex restaurant, but inside lies hidden gems. The name La Salsa is obviously an homage to the dance studio next door, either that or they are standing at home plate pointing to center field, saying«I don’t just make salsa. I make THE Salsa». My stomach says it’s the latter. Still, I was hoping to see some dancers in the restaurant doing the Lambada, but apparently that dance is forbidden. As with most restaurants trying to compete with the Ted’s of the world, you will get free cheese sauce, salsa, chips, tortillas, etc etc… You will also be offered taco/enchilada/quesadilla combination plates starring ground beef or shredded chicken. But that’s not you… is it. Be honest, you like flavor. You like making the cooks work for their share of the tips. You order the Carne Asada plate or the Chuletas de Puerco. You ask for half corn/half flour tortillas… You ask for some Salsa Verde when they bring your chips out and you mix some of that spicy green chile salsa they brought you with the Okie-Mexified cheese sauce and table salsa they so graciously provided you gratis. Hey, why not mix some in with those rice and beans we always complain about. Congratulations, you are now eating, and smiling, and thanking me in your head for talking you off the ledge from the Okie-Mexstake you almost made. Maybe even making a promise to yourself to one day buy me a tasty IPA at the Patriarch as a thank you. Let’s not make it weird, I like you too.

This meal was one of our better experiences with mexican food in awhile. Everything was good and fresh. We had cheese enchiladas and beef tamales. All the flavors were good. I prefer my cheese enchiladas with creamy cheese and Chile gravy like we used to get in Texas but I have yet to find any in the OKC metro.

Our family absolutely loves La Salsa. We eat here so often that the staff knows who we are when we walk in. I’ve never had poor service or bad food.

My buddy & I from work found this place on Meridian a couple years ago & walked in. This location in Edmond opened up in October 2014. The sign says«La Salsa» but it is the same as the one on 23rd& Meridian. The queso is mostly white & the salsa has really great flavor. The new location in Edmond is nicer than the one on Meridian but the service & food are great in both. There are a few televisions around the room playing sports. I’ve always had my order in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend this place.
