I’m really NOT a sushi fan, but I came in today with my boss for lunch. We ordered the crab Rangoon appetizer and loved it. One of the best I’ve ever tried and the sauce was amazing. My boss ordered a Bento Box and I ordered the lunch special and got miso soup, the crunchy roll and the California roll. The crunchy roll was hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had! Our waiter was fantastic(unfortunately forgot his name, but he was a younger guy with dark hair) and the service we received was great. I’ll definitely be back!

In a string of bad experiences at dining establishments recently. We were more than pleased with our visit last night. Thank you thank you thank you! We were losing hope in great service! We love you guys. P.s Austin was so awesome! We will be back for his service alone!

My husband, myself, and possibly a coworker of mine, got severe food poisoning about a day after eating lunch here. Unfortunately it resulted in a trip to the ER for me and my husband. I had eaten here many times before this incident without any problem. The people who own/work here have always been very kind and provided great service, so I hate that I have to do this, but I think people should know.

After moving to Edmond a year ago, I was set out to find a new, go-to sushi place. Many sushi fans will understand why this is so important. Saki came in as a top contender because of the short, five minute drive from where I live. I was not disappointed! The quality of the sushi for the price is what really pulled me in. Fairly priced classic and premium sushi rolls, with additional options of appetizers and entrees if you happen to go with someone who is not so quick to jump on the sushi train(the combo fried rice, the Crag Rangoon and Gyoza dumplings all come highly recommended from yours truly). The restaurant is dim and somewhat quiet, but comfortable. They recently did some remodeling that I feel benefitted the atmosphere. The walls used to be a dark red, but visiting last night I noticed they have lightened it up with new paint and décor and it is much more welcoming. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because although the food is fantastic and the staff is friendly, they almost always seem to be understaffed. But don’t let this bit of information hold you back from trying Saki! And don’t forget to bang the gong in approval if you like your meal! — yes, there’s a «Gong of Approval» that you are welcome to have a go at.

I’ve been here a couple times now and am pretty comfortable saying it’s just a-ok. The sushi is tasty, but I’ve had better elsewhere. I’ve also found their menu to be overwhelming – there are looooots of options to choose from. . I’m a classics kind of girl, and most of their menu are specialty rolls. I don’t remember the exact roll, but I wasn’t terribly impressed with the specialty I tried. You can order a combo of nigiri and a Philadelphia roll, which was right up my alley. So, not a bad spot as far as a-ok goes. There’s just so many sushi places to choose from that it can be hard to pick!

I ordered togo for my girlfriend’s birthday along with dessert. The food turned out very presentable and tasted very fresh. We love eating sushi and have to say this is the best local joint for sushi. We strongly recommend it and will definitely come back.

Fantastic atmosphere, quick service, great sushi! I wouldn’t say I’m anywhere near a sushi connoisseur but this was above average sushi for a great price. A great date night spot. I’ve never seen it over crowded and has an intimate feel to it. Most definitely a hidden gem in Edmond!

I just found my new go-to sushi spot in Edmond! I stopped by so I could take some home and was impressed by not only the sushi & tempura, but also the inside of the restaurant. As I waited, the staff was so kind and checked in with me every few minutes offering something to drink. I was happy to wait because I knew they were freshly preparing what I had ordered, and when I got home, which admittedly isn’t far away, the food was still hot. They also had a really nice patio, which I’m sure will be great to use once the heat dies down.

Get the Shiro Saki as an app. For the rolls, we’ve had the Samurai and Green Lizard every time which are both great. We’ve been a lot of sushi restaurants and this is the only ace we go now. Food, service, and atmosphere are all great. Prices are fair. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

The food is excellent and the service reminds me of my time in Japan. I got the bento dinner and I was not disappointed! Teriyaki, tempura, sashimi, sushi … Oishiidesu!

Wow, where to begin? We went here just because we were hungry and stumbled upon it. What was sad, is there is a wide variety of reviews on here for this place. We took a chance, because several reviews mentioned new management. So why not? The staff was totally fine. It, and the decorations are some of the only nice things I can say. We started with the edamame. Under-cooked, so we couldn’t really eat it. Which I’m not really sure how one screws this dish up… Nuke it for 5 minutes… My rule of thumb for testing out a sushi place is to always order a California roll. Why? Its a basic roll, and it tends to be hard to screw up. They screwed it up. The roll came out ice cold… Which says to me that it was pre-made and stuck in a fridge. Disappointing. The rice in all the rolls was old. The grains were hard and stale. I get, the staff doesn’t make the decisions of how often they get to make new rice, but oh boy! Tasted like 2 day old rice. I thought it was just me until the first words out of my girlfriends mouth were«this rice is really old.» We didn’t finish our meals. The good: 1) Nice staff 2) Nice décor The bad: 1) The rice was old 2) Under-cooked edamame 3) Made us sick the rest of the day The lady and I had terrible heartburn afterwards, and it was definitely due to this. I won’t give it a second chance.

Went in for lunch on a whim. Glad we did. Atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was not crowded. We decided on the bento lunch box, some spring rolls and a philly roll. Everything was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back. Great place for a weekday lunch as the bento box is only $ 8 and come with soup, ½ california roll, rice, salad and hibachi/teriyaki meat/fish choices.

According to Carolyn C. «this is the best(sushi) we have had since we lived in Japan.» This tells me one(or all) of three things: 1. Carolyn is a robot(here it’s possible to use robot and idiot interchangeably). 2. Carolyn has the world’s worst palette. 3. The sushi in Japan is God awful.(hint: this one is not likely) Yes, as you’ve no doubt gathered from Carolyn C’s ever-so-helpful review(which has since been filtered by Unilocal), many people are migrating straight from Japan to none other than Edmond, Oklahoma to try some of the world’s best sushit(that started out as a typo, but it’s just so fitting I couldn’t bring myself to correct it). I mean hey, any place that has an $ 18 all-you-can-eat sushi sign adorning their front window has GOT to be amazing… right?! Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. This place is so bad, and that’s coming from someone who tends to give places the benefit of the doubt. For instance, should you feel so inclined to order the«tofu steaks», be sure that you’ve had a large meal or several small meals ahead of time, because it will take about 45 minutes to prepare the tofu. As I understand it, they have a tofu farm out back where they raise their own tofu — force-feeding the tofu until their tofu-livers are swollen and fatty, never allowing the baby tofu to stand-up or mature because that would make for tough, less flavorful tofu, obviously. Yes, you see apparently they have to go out back to the tofu farm and slaughter each tofu to order. Then, once the poor little tofu has suffered enough, they add insult to injury by tossing it in batter, deep frying, and smothering it in crappy teriyaki sauce. 45 minutes to an hour later and voila! I was convinced the food could only get better from that point on. I was sadly mistaken. I mean if you’re like Carolyn and you’ve had a taste of the«real» thing, maybe you’ll like the combination of tough, tasteless rice, and fish that tastes like it came out of Lake Thunderbird.(For those of you unfamiliar with Thunderbird, it’s nickname is Dirtybird — and that’s a nice way of putting it) I mean hey, smother anything in enough eel sauce and them Okies will eat it up, right?! The spicy salmon hand roll was pretty hilarious. There was some questionable quality salmon hiding somewhere near the bottom, and then it was basically thick slices of avocado smothered in about half a bottle of sriracha. It’s pretty bad when Taco Bell’s quesarito is more refined than your sushi. It’s an experience to say the least. Probably not an experience you’d ever want to repeat, sort of like kissing your sister. Isn’t that how the saying goes? Whatever, you get my point. If you’re in the mood for sushi, I don’t know what to tell ya, you might need to drive to a different state. You’d be better off heading to your nearest super Target and picking up some of the pre-packaged stuff that they pass off as sushi. And now you’re saying to yourself: «But Kevin, the sushi at super Target isn’t fresh at all!» I’m aware. Overall Grade: F
