Unfortunately appreciation for keeping odd hours is not factoring into my review because I don’t eat at odd hours. The food was decent. I had the ripped pig, and unfortunately had to remove the fried green tomato, which actually looked very delicious. The sandwich probably would have been a little better not after a transit, but when are you ever going to eat it another way?(suggestion, wrap the sandwich in foil to retain heat during delivery). It was pretty good, but not great. We ordered the mac and cheese, which was actually quite delicious. I would recommend that. We also ordered some fries with bacon and something. They again were probably better right out from the oven. With a couple entrees and 2 sides the bill was like $ 50, which is VERY steep considering we picked it up. I can get a similar meal for 2 at S&B in a sit down establishment paying the premium for the venue and pay less money. I think part of the perks of a no eat in venue should be reduced cost from reduced overhead. I don’t see that being passed along. I like the place, but for $ 50 there are better options. If you’re up late, it’s close to the best thing happening that late at night, so go for it.

Okay honestly they get five stars for being the only legit late night food that DELIVERS in Edmond. Zero competition there. Genius idea. I really like the name, too: Smokey’s Midnight Express. Choo Chooooo. I have tried a few of their menu items(pulled pork sandwich, pizzas, desserts) and they have all been pretty good. Their spiel is gourmet late night food, and it is pretty darn close to gourmet. I didn’t like the caramel apple pie shake because there was large chunks of warm pie crust in the ice cream shake that made the shake melt very quickly. I bet if this was executed properly with cold pie crust just crumbled on the top it would be pretty good, too. For a night owl like me, places like this are a dream come true! Thanks, Smokey’s!

Got the chicken strip basket and the BLT with the bacon cheddar fries and it was so good! The food was fresh and just being put in to-go boxes when I arrived to pick it up. The only thing I’m mad about is NOT knowing about this place sooner. Would of gotten pics but we ate the food too fast!(Lol) I’ll try to post next time!

Omg!!! I just had the most amazing buffalo chicken sandwhich! The chicken is a fresh deep fried breast and is so juicy. Nothing frozen about this place. Please keep this place in business so order often! Thanks Smokey’s!

Awesome! I ordered a thin crust pepperoni and order of chicken wings for delivery– normally I would do this so if one is not good –I will eat the other– Not in this case /Both were Delicious ! The pizza was perfectly cooked — really good flavor. The wings also very tasty. And HOTOFFTHEOVEN! I recommend this place for good food — fast delivery. And the employees were very nice and easy to deal with…

Updating my original review: The menu has expanded massively. Tons of loaded french fry options, new sammies, new burgers, new dessert(Pie Junkie pies!), new pizza combos, new b-fast options. They didn’t stray from their wheelhouse while adding all of these options, the new menu takes advantage of an already stellar base menu without trying to break too many molds. I’m told by co-owner, James, that the chef will be doing a «dish of the month» to have some creative outlet. I expect random, deliciousness to come. I’ve had them deliver more than 10x and everything has been fantastic. =========================================== Original review: So, you just got back from the bar/gym/late night«studying”/evening soccer practice for the kids and you’ve got the hunger. Something with bacon, maybe breakfast. No… you want a vegetarian pizza or maybe a burger. You check the fridge and realize you have nothing even close to resembling the meal you have in your head. Damnit! If only there was a delivery place serving super tasty food that was open after the bar/gym/late night«studying”/evening soccer practice closed. But wait, THEREIS! Welcome Smokey’s Midnight Express, Edmonds ONLY late night badass food delivery and takeout restaurant. You can go pick it up there if you so wish but shouldn’t you keep yourself in the comfort and safety of your own home/apartment/vandownbytheriver? The menu is eclectic; Breakfast, check. Pizza, check. Pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, a fried green tomato and a hogs worth of bacon, check. Need dessert, they have you covered. The major gripe I have with take-out/delivery is that there is usually no thought in how to package the meal so that it’s in edible condition by the time it makes it to it’s final destination. Smokey’s has that worked out. We decided to order the BLT, the Ripped Pig and fries. The BLT($ 7) came deconstructed with the condiment provided via packet(Hellmanns!). It seriously had 9SLICESOFTHICKCUTBACON! It was insane. Outside of making my own, I’ve never been served a BLT with that much F’n bacon. The Ripped Pig($ 10) is the pulled pork sandwich I mentioned earlier. It has coleslaw on it which on a to-go order its pretty much a given that your bun will be soaked 5 minutes after it’s added. Smokey’s coleslaw was fresh mixed so it didn’t have a chance to leach out the water in the cabbage, meaning my brioche bun stayed fresh and dry during the quick jaunt home. Huge bonus points for that. The fries were, well, fries. The place is new and this was the first night they were doing them but they were still crispy when they got home. I was talking to the owner and he’s still tooling around. It may turn in to something completely different. Next time I might go the breakfast route. The GDP Hash($ 9(Grand Daddy purp?)) or the Chicken and Waffles($ 8) sounded pretty good. I’ve got them on speed dial and I plan to hit them up whenever the late night munchies come knocking.

I’m reviewing after my first try, because the food was amazing! I did delivery and they told me it would be about 45 – 60. I received my order in about 20 mins. The food was hot and fresh. The shrimp and Mac and cheese are to die for!

Am on a road trip and am driving through town. Arrived at 9PM so most restaurants were already closed. Randomly chose to check out this new restaurant, and I wasn’t disappointed. I had the chicken and bacon sandwich, and it hit the spot. Service was a little slow even though I was the only customer and sandwich was a little pricey($ 9), but I’d most definitely return if I come through town again!

Repeat customer here! This time we had the loaded macaroni and cheese, and it was THEBESTMACARONIANDCHEESE I’ve ever had! The noodles were slightly al dente, and they were rotini not elbows, bonus! The cheese was the perfect blend of «Zesty» and savory with the right amount real bacon bits, and to top it off a crunchy topping that gave the right amount of texture. I also had the sweet potato chicken and waffles, with in house hot syrup. The waffles were great and the syrup was delicious as well, the chicken tenders were soft and juicy, but could have used a bit more crunch. They also had great portion size as well. I cant wait to go back to try their thin crust pizzas!

We stopped by late night and Smoky’s had only been open for about three days. It’s in an interesting location and I wasn’t sure what to expect after finding this spot online 10 minutes before. Smoky’s doesn’t open until 6PM and they know exactly what audience they’re going after, something that is very refreshing for Edmond. The menu is vast with tons of options and it caters to nearly to nearly everyone. As for the food, variety is the name of the game. One person had biscuits and spicy gravy, another the breakfast bowl, and the other getting a pizza. The pizza was thin and quite tasty, the person who had the breakfast bowl was happy and the other person who had the biscuits and gravy was indifferent. However, this person also got a strawberry milkshake and was very happy with that. Overall, I’d definitely go back and would recommend this over any of the other(limited) late night alternatives in Edmond.
