The Donut Nest

Where are the beignets of yesteryear? If an allusion to French poetry seems out of place in a review of a donut shop, understand that the poet was not critiquing the present, but longing for the past. Sadly, that is how I feel about the Donut Nest these days.
The worrying trend in this area seems to be that a fabulous new shop opens, the service is phenomenal, a customer base is established, and then new management arrives in fairly short order. Gone are the bright, peppy smiles and the always-​stocked trays. Instead, the new owners seem more tired, and finding your favorite donut stocked is a much more hit-​or-​miss proposition. For those heading to the Donut Nest for the first time, you probably won’t be disappointed, but for we who knew the glory of the first year of operation, there will always be a twinge of nostalgia for what appears to have faded away.

They have the best donut in Edmond! It is located down the street from me so I get to come very often for breakfast. My husband especially love the apple fritter and his milk. I normally get the glazed, or donut holes and they never disappoint. They also have delicious kolaches! My favorite are the jalapeños one. Check them out! You won’t be disappointed.

These donuts are great! The staff was very friendly and I appreciated how early they open in the mornings. I bought two dozen donuts for the bride and the girls in the wedding party for a wedding I was in and they were a huge hit. The donuts are classic, delicious, and very reasonably priced. Highly reccommend.

This is the place to get your donuts for birthday parties! I called and then simply sent a text order to them of what I wanted. Confirmed my order to me and what I wanted. Also confirmed the day before as well.
They made superhero letters just like in the photos on their page and I also ordered over 8 dozen sprinkle donut holes and 6 dozen regular donuts of various kinds! The birthday donuts were a hit!

I was amazed when I found this place. They serve the best donuts I have had in Oklahoma, probably the Midwest, and surprise me every time I go back!
I absolutely love the staff and am delighted by their consistently positive attitude. Some of the best staff you could ask for.
The drink selection here is very nice, especially considering it is «just» a donut shop! They carry at least 20+ beverages, which is more than 99% of all restaurants. Great coffee and tea is always a HUGE plus!
The best part are the donuts. The regular, run of the mill, donuts are delicious and are cooked absolutely perfectly. The consistency in just the cooking is grand.
The cake donuts, especially the red velvet, blew me away. Their consistency and textures were great but the richness of flavor, although not TOO rich thankfully, was the best.
They have an amazing cronut. Cooked to perfection. I hope you visit here just for the cake donuts and cronuts.

I’ve been to the location in Edmond before, and I happened to be at this shopping center waiting for something, and noticed them tucked back into the corner. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at the Edmond location, so I ran inside to grab a couple donuts.
As I walked into the store, I was immediately greeted by two giant smiles and a friendly «hello!»
To say their donuts are the best part of the experience would be a lie. Their donuts are WONDERFUL. It’s one of the few places that I can find cake donuts with sprinkles, which are my absolute favorite.
No, the best part of the experience is the friendly people who run this location. I ordered 2 donuts and walked back to my car, and noticed she had snuck an extra one in there for free. It made my day!

Looks like an ordinary donut shop, but what sets it apart are the donuts and the people. Me and my daughter walked and were greeted with three big smiles and a good morning. We picked out our donuts from the case and they gave a extra one to try! Then at checkout they gave my daughter a balloon animal!?! Something a little extra always makes it better!

I’m new to Edmond and our family has tried a couple of donut places, but this one is the best and will be our go-​to donut spot! They have very friendly and generous service, creatively decorated donuts that the kids love, and plenty of yummy donuts that my husband and I love too. They also have great breakfast sandwiches if you’re in the mood for something more substantial.

These donuts are the best. The sign looks pretty ordinary so it might seem like they’re just a run of the mill donut shop BUT THEY’RE NOT. Their donuts are always so fresh and pull apart like those flaky biscuit commercials. They also have breakfast sandwiches and drinks. I like that they throw in extra little donuts and donut holes with every bag.

I had a special order today for heart-​shaped donuts. They made them look so pretty for my daughter’s 3^rd grade class! It’s the best donut shop I’ve ever been to.

Okay, this isn’t just the run of the mill donut shop. Although their sign is generic there is nothing plain about this place. You should expect to be greeted as soon as you walk in and will notice the décor/​ambience focused on family. I always bring my kids with me as they love the kiddy shaped donuts. They always have different themes, add new flavors and types of donut. You must try the crispy delicious cronut. Don’t forget the balloons as they are free of charge. The donuts are always fresh and moist. I also love the croissant breakfast sandwich and jalepeno sausage roll. Well we as a family feel very lucky to have The Donut Nest in our neighborhood and it’s definitely one of a kind.

Not only do they have great donuts, they have great service as well. Probably the best donuts in Edmond. The owner is always there, always kind, and always throws in a few extra donuts or donut holes with every order.
Trust me here… Get the Cronut!!! Let me say that again… GET A CRONUT! It’s half croissant and half donut and will be served in Heaven!

My wife & I have been coming to the Donut Nest for several months. Although, I’m not a huge donut person, my wife & kids absolutely love them and claim to be donut connoisseurs. There are a lot of new donut shops that have popped around Edmond in the last few years. Most of them are very similar and nothing much to brag about. The Donut Nest takes it up a notch in my opinion. First, there is actually plenty of seating on the inside. You can order some donuts, apple fritters, pastries or kolaches. Try the red velvet donut while you’re at it. They usually have a plate full of samples on the counter. The staff at the Donut Nest have been extremely friendly & almost always throw in extras for free when we order. My kids love it because they always make the kids balloon toys. They have hot coffee and a large cooler full of drinks to pick from. Prices are extremely competitive. The seating area has always been clean and from what I can see of the kitchen it looks very clean as well. I highly recommend bringing your kids here some time. in my opinion this is a 5-​star donut shop because it not only offers a good donut, but goes above & beyond with their service, curteous staff, unexpected seating & extras for kids and customers. By the way, the sign on the exterior only says «Donuts», but the actual name is Donut Nest. Hopefully they’ll upgrade the sign to be more unique.
