I have waited to write my review until I felt like I got a good grasp of the gym to make a very holistic review. Years ago I tried crossfit at a different gym and did the on ramp class through them. I really liked it but once I got to the actual regular workouts I hurt myself… I pinched a nerve in my back/shoulders doing an overhead squat and took a week to heal… it really scared me. I couldn’t feel my arms, it felt like a «dead arm.» And I never went back… until… Fast forward to 2016 and I was looking for a high intensity workout to compliment my yoga practice. My best friend goes to this gym and so having a workout buddy is a plus. I admit I was really scared at first but after going more consistently now I feel like I am progressing. What I like about Morgan’s gym, is he knows how to help you modify. I am such a huge believer in modifying workouts for your body — that’s my inner yogi talking. If it doesn’t feel good or if it hurts then you should not be doing it. Every BODY is different and mine has some limitations that don’t allow for a full range of motion. Morgan gave me the tools to still get a great workout that feels right for my body. And I have seen him help others with their limitations as well. I am still working on the strength as I seriously lack upper body strength and my form. I am taking my progressions once [baby] step at a time to prevent myself from injury.

Edmonds crossfit… what an awesome bunch of members… more like family. You can choose your friends but your family is forever. No one cares more than Morgan about your overall well being. Get involved, you’ll be hooked.

I also started with a Living Social Coupon. But after the up ramp I was sold! This is the first time I have ever reviewed a business but feel these guys deserve some KUDOS. Morgan the trainer is AMAZING. Totally knowledgable and clearly walks the walk. He is patient and encouraging to all of his clients. If you have a physical barrier he will find you a comparable exercise to help you power through. I have belonged to many gyms over the years and this is the first one I have actually continued to use for more than a month or two.(Sad I know) The work outs are the toughest I have ever done and seem impossible in print. But you soon learn that your body is a machine with potential that is far from tapped. If you are looking for an unpretentious gym that will help you attain your goals… Look no further than Edmonds CrossFit. It is conviently located, the hours are long, and the trainers are excellent. Good Job ECF Sallie Lumely

I LOVE this gym! I got the Living Social Coupon($ 20 for $ 150 for 2 weeks of on-ramp classes). The staff(Morgan, Will, and other coaches) are great! They are friendly and helpful, and Morgan has a martial arts background(so they also offer kickboxing and other classes). It’s a little less crowded which is nice, and actually makes me like CrossFit(after initially hating it after trying it at Ballard CrossFit). They are very good about individual coaching and attention too, emphasizing different fitness levels and making sure your form is correct. Only negative is that it’s a little hard to get to in that you can’t turn directly into it from the 104, but have to take a left and turn around to get to it. Other than that, this is a great CrossFit location(plus staff and CrossFit community here are very nice and welcoming). I highly recommend it!

My friend asked me to try a class with her(she has been and loves it), so here I was on a Friday morning grumpy but ready to give it a try(I am NOT a morning person, especially before coffee). We came at 8:30 am and were the only two in the class… yay for me because looking around I was a little intimidated by the equipment. Morgan, our instructor, assured me that I will not be doing anything out of my comfort and ability. In the hour that I was here, I did things I would have never tried on my own. I can’t say that I enjoyed myself, but I can say 100% that I got an awesome full body workout. I was pushed to my ability and limit. Morgan is a great instructor; motivating, helpful and social. We had a steady conversation going the entire time. I would recommend Edmonds CrossFit to anyone who wants to try CrossFit or anyone who is looking for something new to kick your ass. The best part is that your first class is FREE!

I am new to Crossfit, but just finished my fourth On Ramp class at Edmonds Crossfit and I am having a blast. I feel like a kid on the playground, doing things I haven’t done in years. I was feeling intimidated when I first walked into Edmonds Crossfit. My experience with gyms has been working out on various machines or attending mostly all women classes. The gym at Crossfit looks a lot different from the neighborhood gym where I’m a member — lots of weights, bars, kettle balls, boxes, ropes, some rowing machines and cycling machines. Morgan is knowledgable and encouraging, taking the time to make sure everyone understands proper body mechanics. Working out with such a diverse group has been incredibly fun and Morgan keeps us moving with a great sense of humor. If you are looking to excite your exercise routine and your body, I highly recommend Edmonds Crossfit. I’m hooked!
