I visited FIVE a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday evening. We didn’t have a reservation and there was going to be a 40 minute wait so we opted for the bar seating. I ended up having a caesar salad which was really good and quite tangy. I also split a pepperoni pizza and it was soooooo delicious. I’m excited to visit again but next time I’ll be making a reservation ahead of time.

Our neighborhood restaurant and probably our favorite. The pizza here is the best! We go for date night dinner or happy hour. The food has been consistently good. I find it hard to believe anybody had slow service? We go often and have NEVER had a server who isn’t friendly and it takes the same amount of time as any restaurant with fine food. Not slow at all. It can get crowded, but I suppose that will happen when a restaurant is doing it right!

pretentious restaurant… Unfriendly hostess gave me the worst table close to washroom when the restaurant was almost empty saying she has many reservations. It was still empty when I eat and left the restaurant. The food was OK but I’m not going back. It’s also highly overpriced

Ambience, really great ambience. ‘Not sure if it was the tasty aromas of food being served around the room, or the perfect volume of piano playing over speakers mixed in with the hum of the crowd engaged in their evening dinner conversation, or even the light clusters and strings thoughtfully placed– but here is a good balance of it all. Our table did great in ordering the beet salad, carne Asada(the chefs signature dish), the French-cut pork chop with portabella mushroom, and the roast chicken breast on a bed of fresh greens. Apparently the pepperoni flatbread pizza is a must-have that I won’t forget to order next time. Service is friendly, concise and timely, food quality is fresh and flavorful; worth a trip to Edmonds.

A pleasant surprise! We met friend’s who were raving about the place for dinner. I had read the reviews, so I was worried about slow service and the menu. TOTALLY wrong, this place was great! Had some interesting cocktails to start, then a large pizza(artisan oblong shape) which was perfect for 4 to nibble on. The Caesar salad($ 5) is SO good… get one! I had the carne asada with chimchurri sauce– yum! My guy had the porkchop with maderia sauce. Maple(seasonal) gelato and some tawny port finished it off.

We were in the mood for a soup and salad place(the day before Thanksgiving) so we thought we’d try it. Nice atmosphere, old school jazz playing in the backround. Service was fast, but the first thing we were told was ‘no soup today because the holiday is tomorrow.’ That’s reasonable I guess. We opted for a caesar salad and the chop salad… both were good, but not outstanding. I had a glass of wine, and it was a very small pour(IMO). I wish there was an option for 3 ½ stars, but to be fair I’m giving 4 stars because the service was so good, and there are probably better items on the menu yet to be explored. We’ll give it another try.

This place was amazing. I came here for a birthday dinner my friend had planned when she saw their deal on Groupon and I am happy to say it was an overall enjoyable meal. The waitress was very accommodating for taking our orders and bringing our food in a timely fashion. The décor was rustic and homey but still felt upscale and made you forget that you were in the middle of nowhere edmonds. And the chicken breast i ordered was cooked to perfection. I think the only downside to our meal was the calamari because it wasn’t fried like how I was used to it being prepared at any other place, instead it was just boiled and there was some added spice.

Rigatoni with locally made sausage and a cool wine list. Fun dinner. Great spot to take a girl that you really want to please!!! Listen to your server and the specials. Great spot! Yummy.

Love this place! It’s a nice restaurant that’s located in Edmonds. The food is great! LOVE the interior and the outside patio! Only minor cons are parking and service. Service can be slow some nights. Since they’re busy, the parking lot can get packed. My personal favorites are the clams & mussels and caesar salad for starters, Prosciutto & arugula pizza and the clam & mussels linguini pasta. I love my seafood! :)

Excellent food! Here for a visit to this area and had one night so I picked carefully. Everything we ordered was delicious. Atmosphere was perfect with great lighting, and rather romantic or intimate. Do not let the location stop you from going. A very well done restaurant.

The food is good. However the dinning experience was very bad. We had a 6pm reservation, we sat for 10 min before we get to order our drinks and appetizer. We waited for another 10 min before waitress came back with our drinks. Another 10 min went by, we got our appetizer and get to order our dinner. 25 min later we got our food. We got our food at 7pm.(We’ve been there for about 5 or 6 times, and the service has always been slow and spotty at best.) All the while the manager was behind the bar polishing the glasses. Our waitress was nice, but she had to wait the very front of the restaurant and the back patio. The arrangement of her wait station was poorly assigned, so she was running all over the place. During our wait time, there was about 10 to 15 min when no one in the restaurant had any food on the table. The restaurant was only half full. If the manager has the time to polish glasses, she should be pitching in to expedite the service, instead, she was chatting with staffs. Bottom line, the restaurant has bad manager who is not apologetic for the slow service, not managing her wait staff efficiently, and not pitching in when she should to attend to the customers. This type of inefficient service will never survive in a major metropolitan city. For those of you watches Top Chef, in a restaurant war, the manager will for sure be fired.

Decided to try this new place and WOW! Service was quick, courteous and helpful with recommendations. Clams and muscles, king salmon, and the Caesar salad were the best I’ve ever had. They paired so well together. And don’t even get me started on the dessert. Then the décor and the outside patio with flowers and shrubs made it very quaint and kinda romantic. Highly recommend

Five is such a great experience! We got here during their happy hour, which is a killer deal. We got the Mac and Cheese($ 4), the pear gorgonzola pizza($ 5), and a sausage arugula balsamic flatbread that I can’t remember the name of($ 5). I ordered an old fashioned and a Hendricks and tonic which weren’t part of the happy hour but well made nonetheless. The service that we received was incredible. Our waitress(didn’t get her name but shorter black hair) was super helpful, nice, and attentive. We have been trying to find a nice date spot since Milltown lounge closed, and we found it! Order the old fashioned and relax in their cool lucite chairs.

It’s super cute inside. You’d never expect it off the main drag, but the owners put a lot of thought into decorating it and putting together a menu of popular items. It’s a whimsical hipster bistro that serves great breakfast. I can see why customers are loyal to it. We went on Memorial Day Monday, and were the first couple of the day. We felt bad for them, but the food and service was still spectacular. We were relieved for them when more people started to show up, because a place like that seems to use fresh ingredients, and it deserves business. I haven’t had the dinner there, but based on Unilocal reviews, seems like I should try it!

We have eaten here twice in the past 2 weeks. The first time it was just me and my husband. Cute little place. We found it via Unilocal. We wanted to try a new place. My husband ordered a small pizza as an appetizer, I ordered a small Caesar. The plan was to take some of the pizza home. That did not happen. It was very good and we consumed the whole thing. He ordered the special, which was a duck breast, I had the linguine with mussels, clams and shrimp. I ordered it spicy. My husband loves duck, he ordered it raw. It came medium. They did offer to cook him another, but he declined. I had a bite. I thought it quite tasty, and I loved the bed of greens it was served on. I also loved my dish. The garlic cream sauce was very light. Portions are not large, but just right. I also really liked my salad. I ordered a dessert and was pleasantly surprised to have it comped due to the over cooked duck. We returned on Easter with our son and his girlfriend. We ordered a large pizza to share as an appetizer. The one with kale and prosciutto. It was delicious and we ate all of it. For dinner my son ordered the pork chop, his girlfriend and I both ordered the linguine(I really like it). My husband ordered the rigatoni with sausage. He was the only one disappointed in his meal. He barely ate any. The sauce was really thick and not very flavorful, the noodles over cooked. Also on the salads… We got 3 Caesars. Mine had zero dressing :/very dry. The other 2 were perfect. We did not complain about the pasta or the salad. We very much enjoyed our time with each other and we will return. My husband will probably just have the pizza, but I will certainly order the linguine again.

LOVEEEEEEE this place in every aspect. Definitely my new favorite go to place. Came here on a Monday night. My date lived close by and we decided to try it. Fell in love!!! Food is great! Super affordable. Presentation is beautiful. Service is awesome! Very cute and quiet romantic setting. Owner has a great sense of humor! We ordered an baguette appetizer. it was so beautifully presented and looked very 5 stars like. Then the FIVE Caesar salad and it was actually different and yummy! A hint of ginger maybe? Then the pear pizza. HOLYSHIT was that delicious. Lastly the apple crisp with ice cream which was yummy as well. The reason I say the owner has a good sense of humor is because the menu is quite funny. The dessert we ordered was a seasonal crisp. It says the waitress will tell you what is the seasonal fruit. or else! hahaha and the fine print on the main dinner menu is hilarious. a must read for yourself, sorry lol. I felt the waitress was trying extra hard to be sweet, but that is much appreciated, definitely got my 5 stars! I can’t see why the other reviews say bad things about the service because our waitress was very very sweet. I love FIVE!!! Will be coming back OFTEN!

It was a friday night. It was raining. It was cold. I was hungry and getting grumpy. Pulled up Unilocal and found Five. Man, I was so happy. I just wanted to eat and stay alive. Most restaurants closed at 9pm, but Five closed at 12. I like American food as well. Put on my jacket and drove to Edmonds Way. I knew that overall, it was going to be a good day. Bottom line, come rain or shine. I wine and dine and it was so divine.

5 stars for Five Restaurant. So I seriously wish this restaurant was«less out of the way» because it is REALLY really good. The only thing I love more than great food is great ambiance(and great service) and Five Restaurant covers all the bases. Oh wait, and great plating! Ahh I do love nice plating. The menu, first of all, is large enough without being too large. Here’s what we all ended up eating: Caesar salad($ 9 entrée size) — slightly above average Caesar, which I would order again because I love salad. Pizza — perfect crust. About $ 10/$ 15 for a small or large. I didn’t try it but my dad loved it. I think he got the sausage onions mushroom one. Good portion for a personal size pizza. My sister ordered the linguini($ 20), which came with tiger prawns, manila clams, and penn cove mussels in a garlic wine cream sauce — and it was very tasty. My mom had the wild alaskan troll-caught coho salmon($ 24), with roasted asparagus and a serrano black bean purée. The salmon was great, though I did not order it because I don’t really like beans. My mom loved it though. The real kicker was the French cut pork chop($ 20), which came with yukon gold mashed potatoes. Came with a side of portobella mushrooms and marsala sauce. NOJOKE this was the best pork chop I’ve had in my life. PLEASE do yourself a favor and try it for yourself. Final thoughts: Five also has a sizeable outdoor patio which automatically makes it cooler. Ambiance indoors is intimate and romantic, but also appropriate for small groups and families. Can’t wait to come back!

Although the menu is very limited, I can overlook that as they have made to order guacamole!!! It is one of the best and you can customize it anyway you like because it is truly fresh. It’s the only way you should eat guacamole IMO. The restaurant itself is kind of hidden in Edmonds, so not the most hopping area. But inside is very cute, albeit the bathroom very dark. My favorite is the outdoor patio with a fresh garden. Seems like they are growing strawberries, blue berries, lettuce, mint leaves, you name it through drain pipes or whatever those things are. SOCOOL. Such a chic, but hipster spot. I would definitely be back for their happy hour which is a better deal than their regular menu. I only wish they were in Seattle.
